Eternal Thief

Despite being the center of Zaria’s fury, Eleanor didn’t seem to be afraid at all and glared back at her with an equally vengeful look.

Even Ravencrown was astounded by Eleanor’s suicidal action and distanced herself from the latter since she still cherished her life.

Zaria finally moved. She was determined to teach Eleanor a painful lesson while she still hadn’t forgotten about her past offenses.

However, at this moment, Zaria suddenly noticed Eleanor’s eyes darted in a peculiar direction before the corner of her mouth rose upward in a faint smirk. She thought Eleanor had lost her mind, but the next moment, she was startled when a figure suddenly appeared right in front of Zaria. It was none other than Ace!

Ace had a wry smile as he said to Zaria, “Leave her to me.”

Zaria narrowed her eyes dangerously, “She’s my responsibility. Are you going back on your words?”

Ace was really in a dilemma at this moment because he didn’t want Eleanor to get hurt. She had not treated him badly, and he knew she had developed feelings, which was also his own fault since he had followed Malservus’s advice.

However, Zaria was one who captured and dragged Eleanor into this, and she had already chosen her to be her Thief Acolyte.

Ace then glanced at Eleanor, and she gave him a glassy-eyed glare as if she didn’t care about him at all, but she couldn’t hide the relief and joy she was feeling at this moment.

‘She did it on purpose…’ Ace was irritated and looked at Zaria, who was determined to get her hands on Eleanor.

“No violence, and she’s all yours. I owe her this much. There are other ways you can ‘educate’ her.” Ace finally steps aside since he can’t make Zaria unhappy and undermine her authority.

He had already put up his request, and now it was Zaria’s choice whether to give him face or not.

Ravencrown also seemed to have noticed something, and she looked at Ace with shimmering eyes.

‘Could it be that Ravenmind was testing Heaven’s Stealer? Now that he had stepped up to save her, it means he cared about her! If I’m right, she’s going to use it to sow discord among Zaria and Heaven’s Stealer…it seemed I was wrong about her…’

Zaria glared at Ace before she looked at Eleanor, and the latter’s eyes widened when Ace stepped aside.

Zaria instantly guessed something and couldn’t help but smirk, “Alright, no ‘violence’, you have my word.”

“Wait! I don’t agree to this!” Eleanor again protested.

“It doesn’t matter.” Ace suddenly released his spiritual pressure as he coldly glared at Eleanor, “I’ve already told you that you’ll be under Zaria’s supervision, and she can vet you out. Now, if you want to commit suicide, you may go ahead. But know this, I won’t save you anymore, I’ve done more than enough to repay you for the little favor you do me.”

Without waiting for a response, Ace vanished under everyone’s eyes and appeared beside Eva and Alina again, and this time, he didn’t intend to stop. He had already gotten what he wanted, and now, as long as Zaria can increase her house rank and ‘educate’ Ravencrown and Eleanor, he’ll eventually get what he wants.

Zaria looked at Eleanor, and when she saw her dark expression, she suddenly felt better and couldn’t help but smirk, “Nice trick, you almost had me going there. I guess, I’ve underestimated you for someone named with Raven ‘Mind’.”

Eleanor glared at Zaria with antipathy, “Do you really think I was playing tricks? Think what you want, but I won’t work for you!”

“You know, I was like you, but when I truly ‘experienced’ what that man is capable of and what it really means to join him, I instantly changed my mind. Furthermore, in a few days, I would like to show you something that definitely changed your entire world view.”

Zaria’s cryptic words made both Ravencrown and Eleanor frown, as they still didn’t understand Ace and his crew. Furthermore, they were all filled with confidence, almost like zealots.

“How long have you been working for Heaven’s Stealer?” Ravencrown coldly asked.

Since Ace was clearly not going to fall for her tricks, she decided to acquire more information and hope to find something to escape.

Zaria curled her lips as she replied, leaving both Nightfall Ravenhood members speechless and in disbelief, “About three months now…”

Ace entered Eva’s house in the Thief’s Space with Eva and Alina.

At this moment, Alina finally spoke with a sharp glint in her eyes, “She really liked you, didn’t she?”

Ace smiled wryly as she knew who Alina was hinting at, and he casually replied, “Consequence of doing the mission.”

Alina snorted but didn’t castigate Ace, for she knew Ace wasn’t a womanizer and would do whatever he could to survive.

Eva jeered at Alina, “Childish.”

She didn’t even frown when she noticed Eleanor’s reaction to Ace’s revelation; in fact, she was happy that Ace was finally using his charm correctly.

“You want to fight?” Alina glared at Eva.

Eva simply ignored her and couldn’t help but look at Ace curiously, “I was wondering, how did you appear in your Thief’s Space? I clearly remembered you saying, you can’t enter your Thief’s Space physically or in the Thief’s House without establishing a ‘gate’ first.”

Alina was also startled at this moment as she looked at Ace. If Eva hadn’t revealed this fact, she wouldn’t have noticed this as well. But like Eva, she thought it might be a new reward Ace got after completing a mission.

Nonetheless, both women were interested in knowing the story behind it.

“So, you’ve noticed.” Ace grinned as he explained, “No, I still can’t enter the Thief’s Space, nor have I received any ability or reward related to it, at least yet. This ‘me’ in front of you is the result of a forbidden spell called the Prime Law Phantom.”

Ace was ecstatic as he explained, “This spell allowed me to create a ‘Phantom’ identical to my real self with my Prime Law, and it’s almost like the real deal, except it’s made of my Prime Law instead of flesh and bones. It can only exist for six hours, and I only have 15% of my spirit Qi capacity compared to my real body.

“If I used all the spirit Qi, this spell would dissipate with the phantom. Nonetheless, it’s an excellent spell to scout or create distractions, and I can even use it freely enter Thief’s Space or Thief’s House Space and save myself the embarrassment of speaking with you all like an orator!”
