Eternal Thief

Ace looked at Ravencrown without changing his expression and said, “Alright, let’s just assume I’m this Heaven’s Stealer. What could you have had that made you so sure that I’ll be willing to let you go after revealing to you who I am?”

Ravencrown knew she wasn’t in a position to negotiate with Ace on the same footing because she was now Ace’s prisoner, and he was planning to assimilate her and Eleanor into his own crew.

Furthermore, the fact that Ace could break the Law Contact was still fresh in her mind, and she knew that whatever method Ace used would be absolutely infallible.

After all, the Nightfall Ravenhood does the same thing with their members, and except for Raven and herself, no other Ravenhood member can reveal their core secrets because if they tried, they would be dead.

Moreover, Ravencrown also knew about a method that could easily bypass and break a Law Contract. Although it was costly, it exists nonetheless.

Lastly, Raven and Ravencrown have been searching for Ace because they were over 90% confident that he was Heaven’s Stealer.

Ravencrown kept her calm as she knew this was her only chance to get out of here before Ace would impose some restriction on her.

“If you’re not Heaven’s Stealer, you have nothing to worry about. Furthermore, I’m willing to sign any contract or oath to keep your secret. Moreover, if you are really Heaven’s Stealer, we don’t even need to be at odds with each other, and the Nightfall Ravenhood would like to work together with you.

“You have already proven that you are more than qualified to work with us. We’ve been activated in the Mortal Ascension Heaven for almost five millennia, way before you appeared.

“We have resources and information that you can’t imagine. The Ancient Remnant of the Vindictive Ridged Valley was also our setup, and we have spies in all the top six King Sects of the Mortal Ascension Heaven!

“As long as you’re willing to negotiate, we can work together and steal wealth and treasure far beyond your imagination.” Ravencrown’s voice was enticing.

Alina spoke at this moment instead of Ace, and her voice was filled with derision, “And what makes you think we can’t do the same? In fact, what seemed to take you thousands of years to achieve, we might’ve already achieved the same thing. Despite your ‘achievements’, you were still captured by us, who only appeared a few years ago. Which makes you nothing but ‘ordinary’.”

Ace stayed silent. He didn’t even need to speak at this moment since Alina had already made a point, and Eva and Zaria also agreed with Alina.

Ravencrown paled as she couldn’t refute Alina’s words, and she was secretly shocked because Alina’s words also hinted at many things.

“Alright, cut the crap, and get to the point. You were saying something very important about Heaven’s Stealer, yet I don’t hear you conveying anything about it. It seemed you were still unwilling to reveal it. What a greedy little girl you are! But too bad for you, the Leader is not an ordinary thief, is he?” Zaria scoffed as she exposed Ravencrown’s hidden agenda.

At this moment, Ravencrown realized that she knew nothing but Ace’s crew, while Ace knew many things and didn’t seem interested in learning more. It was almost like he wasn’t worried about getting what he wanted, and this made Ravencrown apprehensive of Ace.

Ravencrown glared at Eleanor, and looking at her expression, she was extremely infuriated. She knew it was Eleanor who led Ace to them, and now she seemed like a listless wife who had found out that her husband had been cheating on her all this time.

Gnashing her teeth, Ravencrown decided to reveal the information she was unwilling to reveal to anyone, even the members of Nightfall Ravenhood.

“Alright, to show my sincerity, I’ll tell you about a core secret of our Nightfall Ravenhood and how it was established.

“The Nightfall Ravenhood was founded by me and Raven after we both stumbled upon an ancient remnant hidden within a secret realm. As you should’ve all known, the Ancient Remnant are remnants of the ancient cultivators, civilizations, races, sects, and some even contained natural treasures. But it’s too hard to find an intact Ancient Remnant.

“The Ancient Remnant we stumbled upon actually contained a legacy ground called the ‘Ruin of Earth Pilferage’, and we walked the path of the Thief after getting the legacy from the Ruin of Earth Pilferage.

“However, this legacy is only from the first level of the Ruin of Earth Pilferage, and there are still two more levels. But we can’t get into those levels because there is a prerequisite to being a ‘Heaven’s Stealer’ to access those levels!”

The House members were shocked by this revelation.

Ace’s eyes shimmered with astonishment. He wasn’t expecting a legacy related to Heaven’s Stealer to be somewhere out there because he was under the impression that ‘system’ was the only legacy of Heaven’s Stealer and that it couldn’t be divulged to others.

He was only thinking that the Nightfall Ravenhood might’ve stumbled upon some treasures of Heaven’s Stealer and superficial information, but the legacy was out of question.

“System, what is going on? Would there really be a Legacy of Heaven’s Stealer out there? Was this Earth Pilferage a Thief Name of another Heaven’s Stealer?” Ace directly sought the System’s validation because this was too hard for him to accept.

“[The legacy of Heaven’s Stealer is with Host. Please don’t overthink things. You should also consider the possibility of ‘self-creation’. Like Host has created your own skills and techniques upon the foundation of Heaven’s Stealer legacy, the others can do the same.]”

Realization dawned on Ace as it instantly struck him, and he felt relief, ‘So, what the Nightfall Ravenhood got is skills like Pick-Pocket Reverse and Inverse, Enteral Thief Sword Style, or Sword Cores, but not the cultivation techniques and system skills and techniques.

‘Nonetheless, I can’t overlook the fact of finding another Heaven Stealer’s legacy, which might contain his own personal insights. It’s a scarce opportunity, and since this Earth Pilferage can also put this kind of restriction, he might be a Heaven’s Stealer.

‘Furthermore, the Amber Fate Point might also be indicating this exact legacy…’

Ace looked at Ravencrown deeply before he spoke, “Since that’s the case, explain another thing to me. How could you be so sure that I’m Heaven’s Stealer?”
