Eternal Thief

Ace and others returned to the Thief’s Space instead of the Thief’s House Space because of the two prisoners. After all, the Thief’s Space can suppress their cultivation base, and he didn’t want to reveal the Thief’s House space yet.

Since Zaria had captured Eleanor and Ravencrown, Ace knew the Nightfall Ravenhood won’t abandon them easily, especially the Ravencrown, who seemed to have the deciding power in the Ravenhood.

Furthermore, he wanted to learn the secrets of the Nightfall Ravenhood and what they were after in the Great Crown Domain. Lastly, Ravencrown was a Glittering Amber Fate Point; he needed to figure out why.

After everyone left, the Thief’s Space was serene, but when Eva, Alina, and Zaria entered, it became boisterous. It was Zaria’s first time seeing the Thief’s Space, and when she saw mountains of treasures scattered around, she was astounded, especially by the countless space treasures.

But the most eye-catching item in this ‘treasury’ was still two plain houses in the center. They belonged to Eva and Alina. They were both emotional seeing those houses, as they had lived in this place for years.

“Unbelievable, even my powers are being suppressed in this space. I guess I don’t need to worry about them.” Zaria exclaimed as she threw those two women like rag dolls on the side.

But at this moment, Eva and Alina both suddenly sensed something at the same time and looked at each other with confusion.

Ace seemed to have noticed their peculiar reaction and asked in confusion, “What is it?”

Eva didn’t speak; instead, she sent her abyssal Qi to the depths of the Thief’s Space, where Ace usually threw his loot. The House Members weren’t suppressed in the Thief’s Space, not to mention Eva, who was directly connected to Ace.

Thereupon, enveloped in Eva’s dark purple Qi, something flew towards them, and seeing the item Eva picked, Ace’s eyes shimmered with surprise.

It was a golden-red stele with a single glyph etched on it, and he instantly recognized it because it was the same stele he had discovered in the center of the Ancient Remnant of the Vindictive Ridged Valley.

Ace almost forgot about it because many things happened after he got that stele. When he got it, he was more focused on the Star Encompassing Fruit and crossing the Heavenly Punishment.

But now, Eva and Alina seemed attracted to that stele for some reason, which made him even more curious about it.

Zaria also noticed the peculiar stele, especially the glyph on it, which gave her a profound feeling as if it held infinite secrets.

When the stele finally landed in Eva’s hand, her eyes widened, and she exclaimed.

“A God Rune!”

Ace’s eyes flickered with a hint of shock because he had heard ‘God Rune’ when he was experiencing the events of his past, the damn prophecy was also written in the so-called ‘God Rune’ as well which was actually the Language of Ancient Gods.

But he wasn’t expecting Eva to be familiar with ‘God Runes’, and she even seemed too attractive to them or to sense them, and Alina seemed to be the same.

“What a God Rune?” Zaria was also curious because she seemed to be attracted to that glyph the more she looked at it.

Eva replied, “Even if I want to, I can’t explain it to you because there are too many speculations about God Runes. They are one of the most mysterious things in existence.

“Foremost, God Rune can’t be just inscribed on anything except for scarce and exotic natural treasures in existence. Second, even if you have such a natural treasure, no one can copy a God Rune without fully comprehending it.

“Third, it is impossible to comprehend God Runes, for they are ever-changing and have infinite meanings. That’s why many believed that God Runes are the source of laws and have many names like Primordial Runes, Forbidden Runes, Origin Runes, and such…but the name God Runes stands above all.

“This information suddenly appeared in my mind through my blood heritage memories the moment I touched this stele, but that’s all I’ve unlocked for now about the God Runes, and my bloodline seemed to have the capability of sensing God Runes when they are in a certain range.

“Maybe if I try to study it more, information will be unlocked…”

However, before she could finish her words, the stele in her hand suddenly knocked out and fell, which surprised everyone.

Eva’s eyes widened before her expression became grave, “What’s the meaning of it, Flaggy!?”

It was indeed the Heavenly Devil Soul Flag, Flaggy, who knocked the stele from Eva’s hand because of their bond.

At this moment, an old flag suddenly appeared. It had a rusty crimson flagpole with a crystal red finial on top and a red tassel bound to the finial. The Flag was translucent blue and triangular, with a crimson trigram engraved in its center.

There were one bright and seven lifeless dark symbols in each section of the trigram, and a half-white and half-black moon symbol was in the center. It was the Heavenly Devil Soul Flag.

But Flaggy did something that was out of everyone’s expectations. Without any warning, it smashed the edge of its flagpole on the stele as if intended to shatter it.

However, before it could, the stele suddenly vanished, landing on nothing but empty ground. The next moment, a terrifying suppression force locked on the old flag, making it tremble.

“What do you think you’re doing?” Ace’s cold voice rang at this moment, and the vanished stele were now in his hand.

Eva’s expression was also ugly. She wasn’t expecting Flaggy to do something so bizarre. It had never reacted like this before. She also wanted an explanation.

Flaggy’s aggravated voice rang at this moment, “Wait a moment, Lord Ace! If you don’t want to meet a terrible misfortune or those around you, please destroy that thing immediately!”

Before others could make sense of Flaggy’s words, the Calamity Star Sword also made a surprising appearance, and she implored gravely, “That old thing is right! Please destroy the God Rune, or you won’t even know how you meet your end!”
