Eternal Thief

Ace’s words shocked everyone as they all looked towards Eva and Zaria, who were confused and didn’t know what Abyss they were all mentioning.

In fact, even the House Members only learned about the Nine Everlasting Heavens and Ten Eternal Abysses recently when Eva became the Abyssal Architect Thief, and Ace considered that they should know about it. Furthermore, they started to guess the true reason behind this house meeting and the meaning behind Eva’s early comment when Freya subtly provoked her.

Eva flashed a gentle smile towards Ace before looking at everyone and saying, “Thank you, everyone, for gathering today, and yes, I’m the reason behind this meeting.” She sounded apologetic, but she was clearly showing off, and Ace smiled wryly.

“Ahem, first, let’s start with the introduction to the Abyss, especially for those who still didn’t know about Nine Everlasting Heavens and Ten Eternal Abysses!” Eva solemnly spoke.

“Wait!” Zaria suddenly interfered as her eyes were wide with shock, “Which abyss were you guys talking about all this time? And why did you suddenly bring out fables like Nine Everlasting Heavens and Ten Eternal Abysses?” Eva looked at Zaria with a hint of surprise as she replied, “Well, it seemed you’ve already heard about Nine Everlasting Heavens and Ten Eternal Abysses, huh? This’ll save me some trouble, and by the way, they are not just fables but are as real as you and me.

“Furthermore, you should’ve guessed by now that we all had ascended from the First Everlasting Heaven, Mortal Sky Heaven, and I’m capable of entering the First Eternal Abyss, the Abyss of Wandering Souls!

“I’ve been there for years now, and the abyss we were all mentioning was exactly the Abyss of Wandering Souls. The reason House Leader gathered everyone here today is because I have triggered a special mission after completing a series of unique missions.”

Realization dawned on everyone at this moment. Zaria was flabbergasted as she looked at Eva as if she were some otherworldly monster.

“Y-you!” She shuttered as she looked at Eva, “You’re really not among those crazy fanatics from the Abyss Faith King Temple?”

Eva was intrigued by Zaria’s words and asked, “Abyss Faith King Temple? What kind of power is it? Are there abyssal races residing in Mortal Ascension Heaven as well, and those Heavenly Beings even allow them to worship the Abyssal Beings?”

Eva’s questions startled Zaria as she had no idea what Eva was even talking about, while Ace was also quite interested in this topic. From Eva’s words, it was clear there was much to learn about Abysses, and they were all completely clueless.

Furthermore, Ace and other house members knew about the Abyss Faith King Temple. It was one of the three strongest king sects of the evil path, and it seemed Zaria had previously assumed Eva as their member.

“Alright, Zaria, please save your questions for later. We all are equally curious about the Eternal Abysses, and Eva is the only one who can go there and come back. Let her explain without any interruption, and I think most of our questions will be answered this way.” Ace impassively told Zaria, and she nodded with still disbelief in her eyes.

Ace then looked at Eva and gestured for her to continue, and Eva nodded. Although she was also curious about the Mortal Ascension Heaven, she knew it wasn’t time to inquire about it since this mission was important to her.

“First, the Abysses are completely different from the Heavens. There is no concept of days, and only Eternal Moon’s Eternal Night exists, and because of it, the Abyss is filled with Abyssal Qi, which is poisonous to those who aren’t part of the Abyss.

“If I put in cultivation realm terms, then those elemental state cultivators from the Heavens can’t survive in the First Abyss for a day, no matter their realms. Only Law State cultivators can protect their bodies from the corrosion of Abyssal Qi of the First Abyss! “The cultivation system of the First Abyss is also slightly different. You can say this cultivation system is for Abyssal Beings like myself. The Elemental State Abyssal Beings are merely ranked as Lesser Abyss Beings from the initial, intermediate, and advanced stages.

“These beings usually are mindless and filled with killing intent as they attack anyone and devour each other for evolution. By the way, devouring each other is an innate trait of every abyssal being, regardless of realm or intelligence.

“Anyhow, you all might be wondering why I’m mentioning these weak beings; it’s because they are the most common food of the First Abyss of Wondering Souls; even those advanced stage lesser abyss beings akin to Law Comprehension Realm are treated like common foods among the true intelligent abyssal beings!”

Ace and everyone else were shocked by this revelation. They were all thinking that since this was just the ‘first’ abyss, it would be like the First Heaven, but now, hearing from Eva about the most ‘common’ food of the ‘First’ Abyss, they knew the First Abyss should be akin to Second Heaven, or worse, even more powerful!

Ace’s expression turned even grimmer because he again realized what kind of place Eva had been living in all this time.

“Now that you all have a general idea about the power of the First Abyss, I hope no one takes it lightly because those mindless lesser Abyss beings aren’t even the actual danger of the Abyss of Wandering Souls.

“The true rank of power in First Abyss starts from Law State, in another world, when an abyssal being becomes an Abyssal Soldier, and they can grow all the way to the limit of the Abyss of Wandering Souls, the Abyssal King! Also, slightly different from heaven cultivators, there are no Nine Star stages but Nine Orbits.

“As for the power difference, I have no idea if Abyssal Beings are superior or Heavenly Beings. But from my experience, I think the First Abyss of Wandering Souls has too many terrifying beings hidden behind the scenes, and this brings me to today’s topic…”

Eva’s eyes flickered with a dark glint as she said, “The target of this special mission that I triggered is part of the strongest power of the First Abyss of Wandering Souls with three Abyssal Kings at the top, the Evernight Council!”
