Eternal Thief

Alina looked at her curious master, and she was most worried about the Phantom Sky Sword. After all, Phantom Sky Sword has a prestigious identity and high status in the Sky Sword King Tower.

It wasn’t just because of her identity or battle prowess as a pure Sword Cultivator; it was because Phantom Sky Sword had earned the title of the Sky Sword, which directly made her the contender to become the next Executioner Sky Sword’s inheritor!

The Sky Sword King Tower was a sect of pure sword cultivators, and it was the sect with the strongest attack power in the Mortal Ascension Heaven. The other sects didn’t dare to provoke the Sky Sword King Tower’s cultivators because there was an absolute rule of the Sky Sword King Tower, which had earned them the title of lunatics.

The rule was simple: if a Sky Sword King Tower member drew their swords, they had to kill their enemy or die trying, even if you were one against 10 or even tens of thousands! They can either live by killing their opponents or die by way of the sword.

The craziest thing was that the Sky Sword King Tower even encouraged the outsiders to challenge their disciples as long as they were within the same realm; there were no restrictions on the stages at all.

But despite that, very few provoke them because the sword cultivators of the Sky Sword King Tower were terrifying enemies; they killed their opponents with the quickest efficiency by attacking with their strongest attack from the start, and if they somehow failed, they would only become stronger and crazier.

As for the crazy person who established such rules, it was none other than the founder of the Sky Sword King Tower, Executioner Sky Sword, also known as the Sword King and the strongest cultivator of the Mortal Ascension Heaven of his time!

When Alina arrived at the Sky Sword King Tower with the Sky Sword Jade Scroll’s guidance, she was unaware of what it meant to have a Sky Sword Jade Scroll back then.

The Sky Sword King Tower’s inheritance, also known as the strongest technique of the Mortal Ascension Heaven, was called the Sky Sword Canon, and the Sky Sword Secret Technique was also part of the Sky Sword Canon.

However, only someone with the Sky Sword Jade Scrolls can practice this technique without the entire Sky Sword Canon, and there were only nine such jade scrolls in existence because others might be able to record the Sky Sword Secret Technique. Still, others can’t cultivate it without the entire Sky Sword Canon.

The reason behind this peculiar phenomenon was that these nine Sky Sword Jade Scrolls were personally created by the Executioner Sky Sword when the Sword King was about to transcend, and with his peerless prowess, the Sword King spread these nine scrolls in unknown locations.

Not only that, but he also announced throughout the Mortal Ascension Heaven that he had left his entire legacy, the Sky Sword Secret Realm. The key to acquiring it was none other than the nine jade scrolls created by the King and then scattered throughout the lands.

Even the entire Sky Sword King Tower was shocked by this turn of events. After all, the Executioner Sky Sword was the founder of the Sky Sword King Tower, so the Sky Sword Secret Realm should be left to them.

Yet, the eccentric Sword King made this shocking decision before he left for a higher realm.

Ever since that day, this story has become famous. For countless years, the Sky Sword King Tower has searched high and low for those nine jade scrolls, even announcing countless rewards for whoever brings them back.

However, the Sky Sword King Tower didn’t expect that when they found the first Sky Sword Jade Scroll, the moment they took it away from the person who found it, it showed signs of self-destruction.

Alarmed, they returned the scroll to the person who found it, and only then did it return to normal. After that, they discovered that these Sky Sword Jade Scrolls were made with a profound power; even the Ascension Kings couldn’t see through it, and they concluded that it had something to do with the realm above the Ascension King.

These Jade Scrolls seemed to have mysterious powers in them that led them to their destined owners, and only the one they found worthy could see the contents in the Jade Scrolls.

If someone, even if they meet the requirements in the Jade Scroll, tries to open it but the Jade Scroll itself doesn’t acknowledge them and won’t open, it’ll instantly either kill the one who tried to open it forcibly or if the person is strong, then it’ll show signs of destruction.

After this discovery, the Sky Sword King Tower no longer dared to covet these jade scrolls and use another approach, which was to accept the person who discovered these Sky Sword Jade Scrolls and cultivate the Sky Sword Canon to the Ascension Lord Realm, they’ll grant them the status of the ‘Sky Sword.’

There are only Nine Sky Sword Seats, and whoever brought back the Sky Sword Jade Scroll and cultivated the Sky Sword Canon up to Ascension Lord Realm will be granted this seat.

This status was only below the Tower Master of the Sky Sword King Tower.

So, throughout the years, the Sky Sword King Tower used this approach to gather the inheritors of the Sky Sword Jade Scrolls, and they even found that once a Jade Scroll truly acknowledges someone worthy, they seem to lead that person back to the Sky Sword King Sword.

The Sky Sword King Tower was even more elated by this discovery, and they no longer searched for the Sky Sword Jade Scrolls. Even if the inheritor of the jade scroll met with some accident, the Tower Master would randomly toss away the jade scrolls to continue the process.

Before Alina’s arrival, the Sky Sword King Tower had gathered the maximum of 7 Sky Sword Jade Scrolls inheritors in a single generation. In the current generation, there were already eight.

So, when Alina arrived, all nine Sky Sword Jade Scrolls were gathered for the first time since the Executioner Sky Sword had scattered them.

The first person to detect Alina was also Phantom Sky Sword because she was also the strongest Sky Sword among the nine of them and probably someone with the highest chance to acquire the Executioner Sky Sword’s legacy!

But it was far easier said than done because, despite the gathering of the nine jade scrolls, the Sky Sword Realm didn’t appear, which made the higher-ups extremely alarmed.

However, Phantom Sky Sword then suggests that to open the Sky Sword Realm, the inheritors probably need to reach full mastery of the Sky Sword Manual in the Jade Scroll.

This also made sense and was the only possibility because only four out of nine had mastered the Sky Sword Manual to complete mastery.

No longer wanting to miss this golden opportunity, the Sky Sword King Tower decided to pour all its resources into these last five inheritors. They were determined to bring the Legacy of the Executioner Sky Sword home!

It was also then that the Phantom Sky Sword discovered Alina’s Pure Yin Sword Ruler Fantastic Physique.

Although Phantom Sky Sword didn’t know exactly what kind of fantastic physique Alina had, she was confident that it was related to the sword path because Phantom Sky Sword also had a fantastic physique related to the sword path!

That was also the day the usually cold and aloof Phantom Sky Sword, who had nothing but the sword in her heart, took Alina as her disciple under coercion!
