Eternal Thief

“…our ‘guests’ have woken up!”

Ace’s remark instantly shifted everyone’s attention while Star and Flaggy returned to their respective masters since they had already achieved their objective.

Ace placed the stele inside his robe, so others wouldn’t accidentally stumble upon it, and then he looked over Eleanor and Ravencrown.

He pulled an amusing smile as he said, “Lady Eleanor, there’s no need to pretend anymore.”

Eleanor’s close eyelids twitched slightly before she opened her eyes. She directly glared at Ace coldly, yet there was a hint of shock. Ravencrown also opened her eyes, and a hint of killing intent flashed past her eyes.

Both Nightfall Ravenhood members looked at each other meaningfully before they stood up. They had already noticed their cultivation was completely suppressed, Zaria had taken the storage rings, and this unknown space was extremely strange.

Nonetheless, Eleanor and Ravencrown were familiar with the two people in front of them: Zaria and Ace, two ordinary-looking females, but they already knew they weren’t simple at all.

Eleanor was most shocked. Because of Ace’s appearance and the way he talked, it was clear that something was amiss.

Nonetheless, Eleanor was Ravenmind, and she knew that remaining calm was the key in these situations.

‘Could it be he’s pretending to be with her so he could help us?’ Eleanor thought as she looked at Ace and suddenly smiled beautifully. “Long time no see, little brother Ace. It seemed we had some misunderstanding between Boss Zaria and us. In fact, we were there to ‘save’ little brother Ace since we were worried after you had been missing for a long time.

“However, I think we made a wrong call. But since it was our fault, we’re willing to compensate her and make amends. How about it?” Eleanor smiled and explained, while Ravencrown remained silent, but her eyes were filled with vigilance.

“Tsk, tsk, she can lie as easily as drinking water. No wonder sister Zaria called them talents. If I had a spot left, I wouldn’t mind taking her under my jurisdiction.” Eva suddenly giggled as she found this situation quite hilarious.

“It’s all thanks to Leader.” Zaria also pulled a cold smile as she looked at Eleanor and Ravencrown mockingly. She hadn’t forgotten about how they talked about her behind her back, especially Eleanor!

At this moment, Ravencrown coldly spoke, “My friend and I have offended you, Miss Zaria, and we are willing to compensate you. Furthermore, it’s better to let us go before people come looking for us. Making this matter any bigger won’t help either of us.

“In fact, I belong to Runic Flame Clan, and my fiancée, Jake, the son of Runic Flame Duke, will soon arrive looking for me if I don’t return for a certain time; someone will tell him since my servants know where I am.”

Ravencrown could feel the situation was very strange, but she couldn’t put her finger on it, and they were all talking so strangely. The first thing she heard after regaining her consciousness was, ‘Is that understood?’ and that voice belonged to Ace before he directly exposed them.

This made Ravencrown apprehensive of Ace. She couldn’t help but feel Ace was different, and even Zaria was standing a step behind him. She was extremely observant, and she was studying this group of people.

Yet the more she observed them, the more shocked she became because they seemed completely relaxed. Then, this strange space and her cultivation suppression, she couldn’t figure out what method was used to suppress her cultivation.

For the first time, Ravencrown could fully analyze her current situation. Nonetheless, Ravencrown knew Zaria wasn’t afraid of even the Count Anvil people in Runic Forge City.

So, Ravencrown decided to use her ‘identity’ to deter Zaria from releasing them. Furthermore, she wasn’t completely lying about people coming looking for her. However, instead of her ‘servants’, it would be the Nightfall Ravenhood who would use any means to rescue her.

Although giving away this identity will somewhat put her in the limelight, and Ravenmind will also know about her status, it was a matter for later to worry about, since for now, she wanted to get out of this strange place.

Zaria seemed surprised when she heard ‘Runic Flame Duke’ and looked at Ravencrown with disbelief, “How did you seduce that cowardly baby?”

Ace couldn’t help but think about Jake, whom he saw with Ravencrown at that time. He wasn’t expecting that guy to be the son of a Runic Flame Duke and couldn’t help but feel a chill running down his spine because he knew a Runic Flame Duke should be a 9-Star Grand Lord or a Half-King!

Furthermore, he was amazed that Ravencrown managed to seduce Jake to achieve their objective.

Ravencrown’s expression darkened as she retorted, “Miss Zaria, please refrain from spreading rumors about the Duke’s Son. I don’t care about my reputation, but you can’t defame young Duke Jake!”

“Tsk, tsk, even that cowardly baby won’t dare to call himself ‘young duke’ in front of me. Tsk, if I weren’t in this situation, I would’ve definitely beaten his ass right in front of you and have him divorce you.” Zaria sneered with disgust.

Eva and Alina were shocked by Zaria’s overbearing attitude and couldn’t help but look at Ravencrown with a hint of pity. They knew those two still had no idea their fates were sealed from the moment they entered the Thief’s Space.

Eleanor was also shocked after personally witnessing Zaria’s unreasonable personality and understood why no one wanted to offend this thuggish woman.

She glanced at Ravencrown, whose skin was turning red with anger, and then looked at Ace, who was silently observing everything, and glared at him meaningfully.

Ace smiled wryly. He knew this matter wasn’t going to end like this, so he decided to end the play and spoke in a cold tone.

“Eleanor, or should I call you Ravenmind, and you are Ravencrown of Nightfall Ravenhood. We all know who you are and what you’re after, so let’s drop the pretense, shall we?”

Ace’s words surprised both Eleanor and Ravencrown because they didn’t think he would reveal their identities like this.

At this moment, what put terror in Eleanor’s heart was the realization that the ‘law contract’ with Ace, also the source of her confidence that Ace would never betray her, was gone, as she looked at Ace with disbelief!

“W-who are you?” Eleanor questioned as she knew something had gone wrong.

Ace’s lips curled up, and he knew Eleanor had sensed it. Like a gentleman, he introduced himself gracefully, “Forgive me, Lady Eleanor, but revealing my real identity wasn’t appropriate before, but I won’t hide it anymore.

“I’m Sky Stealer, the very same one you and the Nightfall Ravenhood have been looking for all this time!”
