Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 1012: Chapter 479: A Beauty by Nature, Yet Forced into Thievery

Kenneth Osborne had seen the first round.

He knew Mr. Zhuge was still Lawrence Winters’ biggest rival.

Among those eight contestants, only Mr. Zhuge could compete with Lawrence Winters.

And he was also the winner of the first two sessions, with both experience and skill.

He thought for a moment and said, ”You’re still young, and it’s just your first time in this competition. You shone in the first round, so even if you don’t place later, it’s fine.”

Lawrence Winters gave him a sideways glance, ”Mr. Osborne, is that how little you think of me? You’re already betting I won’t place later?”

”I just don’t want you to feel burdened...” Kenneth Osborne shook his head with a wry smile, ”Either way, whether you place or not, you’re the best in my heart.”

Lawrence Winters was about to get annoyed, but Kenneth Osborne’s last sentence extinguished her anger.

She felt somewhat pleased, but kept it in check, saying coolly, ”Oh really? Aren’t you always looking down on my unconventional ways? Does it matter if I’m good or not?”

Kenneth Osborne replied honestly, ”Whether you’re good or not isn’t important to me. But I know it’s very important to you.”

Lawrence Winters: ”...”

Alright, that was actually true.

Her world was indeed different from Kenneth Osborne’s.

...

After breakfast, the two of them got into Kenneth Osborne’s car and headed to the Stetford family’s mansion again.

Kenneth Osborne had been here before, and this time drove straight in again.

As they stopped at the entrance of the Stetford mansion, a stretch Rolls-Royce Phantom also rolled in behind them.

The car stopped next to Kenneth Osborne’s vehicle in the parking lot in front of the garage beside the Stetford mansion.

The door opened, and Ruby Sheldon jumped out of the car, catching sight of Kenneth Osborne as he stepped out.

”Brother Osborne! You’re here for the competition too!” Her eyes lit up as she skipped over.

Lawrence Winters stepped out from the other side and teased Kenneth Osborne, saying nothing, but just smiled.

Kenneth Osborne pulled a face, walked over to Lawrence Winters, and said to Ruby Sheldon, ”Miss Sheldon, you’re too polite. I don’t have a younger sister, only an elder sister.”

This was a subtle way to persuade Ruby Sheldon to stop calling him ”Brother Osborne.”

Ruby Sheldon, brimming with confidence, tilted her head and said, ”You have a younger sister now... I’m your sister.”

Pfft—!

Lawrence Winters couldn’t help it, her shoulders shaking with laughter, ”Miss Sheldon, do you love calling people brother? Can’t you tell he’s rejecting you?”

Ruby Sheldon paid no mind to Lawrence Winters, completely ignoring her, and continued talking to Kenneth Osborne, ”Brother Osborne, I know you’re dealing with a lawsuit now. I’ve already talked to my dad, and he’ll definitely help you! As long as he helps you, you won’t have to worry about anything! Because he’s the best dad in the world!”

Just then, Aiden Sheldon stepped out of the car.

When he heard Ruby Sheldon’s words, he was so embarrassed he wished he could shrink back in. ℯℯ𝘭.

But Lawrence Winters and Kenneth Osborne had already seen him, and they both smirked.

Aiden Sheldon had no choice but to get out of the car and nod at Lawrence Winters and Kenneth Osborne, ”Hello.”

Ruby Sheldon quickly turned around, ran to Aiden Sheldon’s side, and smiled while holding his arm, ”Dad, right? This weekend, weren’t you having meetings with the lawyers? I want you to help Brother Osborne, please? Please? Please?”

She stretched out her words in a whiny tone, making Lawrence Winters get goosebumps.

Lawrence Winters smiled mockingly and deliberately said, ”Quentin already got Brother Osborne an agent lawyer, contracts signed. No need for extra gestures, Miss Sheldon.”

Ruby Sheldon was shocked, ”Quentin? Who’s Quentin?”

”Mr. Quentin Parker,” Lawrence Winters mimicked Ruby Sheldon’s tone, dragging it out, ”He agreed to consider me his sister. Your dear daddy was present too, didn’t he tell you?”

”That’s impossible!” Ruby Sheldon stomped her feet, consumed by jealousy, ”Brother Parker couldn’t possibly recognize you as his sister!”

Why couldn’t Quentin Parker let her call him ”Brother Parker,” yet turned around and accepted Lawrence Winters as a sister?!

This isn’t fair!

Why could Lawrence Winters compete with her?!

Her mommy was the eldest daughter of the Stetford family, her daddy was the sect leader of the Wealthiest family!

”Miss Sheldon, it’s time for you to realize that the world doesn’t revolve around you,” Lawrence Winters shrugged, casually slipping her hands into her pockets, ”Your tantrums won’t work on me.”

Ruby Sheldon, blinded by jealousy, retorted thoughtlessly, ”The world doesn’t revolve around me, does it revolve around you?”

”The world doesn’t revolve around you or me; it revolves around the sun. You illiterate, don’t even know that? Are your prestigious school diplomas ’donated’ by your Sheldon family’s money...” Lawrence Winters disdainfully glanced at her, heading towards the Stetford family entrance, unwilling to waste more time here.
