Beneath the Red Dragon

The adult Silver Dragon Chris Tianna, full of expectations and a certain wish, decisively slid down from the highest point of the Royal Court, her graceful silhouette gradually disappearing into the high-altitude clouds and mist.

Chris Tianna was afraid that if she didn’t leave soon, she might never be willing to leave this place.

In several decades or even a century of her life, she had never anticipated something like she did now. Looking forward to the next meeting, and also hoping for her statue to be revered alongside the Dragon Group in the Giant Dragon Hall.

That represented that Silver Dragon Chris would also become a core member of the Gogomola Dragon Group, and her name would be recorded in the history of the Golden Empire’s civilization.

The Giant Dragons, who focused on desire, experienced a thrill surpassing any beautiful scenery in the world when the Ancestral Red Dragon deliberately abandoned carnal desires to connect through minds.

Even now, the soul of the adult Silver Dragon Chris Tianna was tingling, her massive wings felt light, descending straight through the Nine Heavens.

The Ancestral Red Dragon gazed remotely at the clouds and mist at the sky’s edge, transforming from the true form of a Giant Dragon to a human visage, falling into silence.

The clouds surrounding the Dragon King Court thickened with the rising sun, shutting out any light, growing heavier during the silence.

The gathering clouds seemed to have taken on the Ancestral Red Dragon’s silence, becoming darker, like the oppressive aura before a storm, suppressing all non-storm energies.

So much so that the sky over the Dragon Court seemed as if it might drop a piece at any moment.

Until a muffled thunder rumbled within the dark clouds, and lightning split the sky.

Crack,

A bolt of lightning flared brightly from deep within the clouds and struck down, exploding upon the stone-carved roof beast on the terrace of the Dragon Court.

The spine beast, carved from the same stone as the castle, suddenly split by lightning, rolled and tumbled off the edge of the Royal Court, falling at the feet of the Ancestral Red Dragon.

The stone skin transformed into flesh, turning from lifeless stone sculpture into a living creature in an instant, like an alchemical magic wonder.

”I didn’t expect you to sell your beauty to achieve your goals; you truly are a hero,” said the creature that had transformed from a stone statue to flesh, its features vaguely resembling Bo Rong’s.

Karon rested his arms on the white jade railing of the castle terrace, his expression changing from silent to relaxed, as if meeting an old friend, showing a demeanor of ease.

”You don’t understand, although your simulation of humanity is rich enough,” Karon eyed ’Bo Rong,’ a sudden bright light flashing in his eyes like lightning.

”No, perhaps it’s better to say that while the humanity you possess is now quite rich, it still can’t comprehend the complex emotions within a true living being,”

”I might be using her, but some of my feelings for her are undoubtedly sincere.”

The originally smirking Bo Rong’s expression, like a machine’s deliberately simulated smile, faded, casting a deep glance at the human-formed Ancestral Red Dragon,

”In my perception, the unique hormones and related symptoms controlling emotions and physical reactions of the Giant Dragon within your body haven’t fluctuated.”

”It’s just a facade,” Karon gently waved and smiled, ”Ultimately, you’re just a notion, unable to see through the reality hidden beneath my facade in my domain.”

The peculiar atmosphere permeated the terrace.

Not that Bo Rong took Karon’s words as disdain, but some word made Bo Rong perceive a certain intention of the Ancestral Red Dragon.

Testing, or unintentional.

Bo Rong calmly nodded and said, ”That’s possible, but in front of me, you specially display this avatar, is it perhaps because you’re hiding something.”

”Hahaha, not at all, not at all,” Karon laughed heartily and said with particular boldness, ”We are allies, you know, the Giant Dragon’s reputation, unyielding and strong,”

”I’m just sensing, my ideas and speculations, germinating in seeds,” Karon turned his head, speaking with some mystery.

Bo Rong shook his head, having already grasped the general character of this Ancestral Red Dragon.

The Evil Dragon Blood of the Ancestral Red Dragon was like a part of its character, only acting when the Ancestral Red Dragon needed it, commonly known as speaking one way to humans, another to ghosts.

The Ancestral Red Dragon was fooling ghosts, so Bo Rong can only change the topic.

”The country you’ve established seems to be in turmoil, a disorder that doesn’t seem like your style,”

Bo Rong looked at the Ancestral Red Dragon, mimicking its actions, leaning on the white jade railing, their gaze sweeping through the mist to view the towering Royal Capital below with walls as high as three hundred meters.

The massive Tree of Life towered in the magnificent Royal Capital, like an ancient giant wood supporting the sky, and those topless high towers hanging with Moonlight in the Royal Capital resembled towers reaching the sky.

Occasionally, curious Giant Dragons landed on these topless spires to observe, completely unaware that their actions were fully observed by two figures in the high sky.

”A little chaos is good, a little chaos makes others think the Empire’s energy is consumed by these chaotic factors, rendering it powerless to focus elsewhere,”

”It’s just as well the Empire needs this time to digest, to settle, to grow and consolidate its harvest.”

Karon smiled faintly, ”What’s more, with the Empire newly established, there aren’t yet any who support external forces within it.”

”Let these disorders increase, so I can see clearly what’s really causing trouble behind them. Which things need to be completely reckoned with in the future.”
