Beneath the Red Dragon

In the process of forging, it’s crucial not to cause significant damage to the material’s properties, which is why seasoned advanced artisans are needed to complete this tedious work.

However, White Dragon Camid’s four eyes scan the room, yet fail to discern anything noteworthy.

But, being the head of the Supervision Department, one can’t just casually drop by for a look; that might risk losing dragons.

Thus, White Dragon Camid’s mind churns and conceives an idea.

”I must think, how would Karon handle this here? Hmm, mimicking Karon’s behavior suddenly inspires a brilliant idea. I shall name this clever state ’Karon’s Mode’!”

Camid coughed twice and turned his head slightly to ask, ”Stos, I feel confident leaving the Forging Workshop to you, as does the Empire. You’re doing an excellent job.”

”So if the workshop encounters any issues, don’t hesitate to tell me, I’ll solve it in a snap with my claw.”

White Dragon Camid observed the Fire Dwarf Stos adopting a serious expression, inwardly praying, ”Please don’t be a problem, Karon could handle it, but I’m not sure if I can.”

But the Fire Dwarf’s words shattered the dragon’s fantasy, ”Lord Camid, indeed, the workshop has run into a complication.”

”The Empire’s low-level officials and generals fare well, as their tokens of employment—be it seals, insignias, or waist badges—can embody the power based on their positions.”

The Fire Dwarf’s coarse eyebrows twitched like two wriggling worms as he spoke, ”But the higher-ranking generals and advanced officials find that the designated power angle cannot embed more arrays into these small items, hence unable to obtain stronger power.”

”Based on the experiments conducted by the Judicial Court Knights, ordinary-sized seals and waist badges can at most handle power scales up to the rank of Centurion.”

”Even through the use of magic-constructed golems and magic pattern assembly technology to compact the arrays, it merely reaches the lower limit of the Chiliarch’s power scale.” The Fire Dwarf gazed at the White Dragon Lord earnestly for an opinion.

”Oh, so it’s this issue, gave me quite the scare,”

White Dragon Camid sighed with relief, speaking without hesitation, ”Then let’s craft their certificates of employment as large as possible. If it’s the size of a door plank, any array could surely be inscribed.”

Fire Dwarf Stos understood the dragon’s aesthetic—big is beautiful, big is mighty.

But he braced himself to ask, ”Lord Camid, should those advanced officials carry a door plank to work, or must those high-ranking generals carry one onto the battlefield?”

White Dragon Camid raised his sharp claw to scratch his head in distress, ”True, not every creature is as strong as dragons, even dragons carrying a door plank during combat would be quite cumbersome.”

White Dragon Camid’s gaze roved over the artisan officials, watching them meticulously polish the surface of metal plates and painstakingly inscribe arrays on both sides to channel the Strong Domain power scale.

According to rank, the complexity of these power scale arrays increases.

They then utilize different decorative-grade shells fitting the array’s core to encase it, thus forming half of the Empire’s certificate of employment simply.

Suddenly, a flash of insight sparked in White Dragon Camid’s eyes, his tail, previously swinging aimlessly, swiftly swept up.

”Stos, I know how to solve this problem.”

Fire Dwarf Stos displayed a look of surprise and queried, ”Lord Camid?”

”Look, those artisan officials are merely working on a flat plane, using these materials,” White Dragon Camid gestured with his dragon claw, murmuring, ”since we can’t enlarge the area of these materials, we can enhance their thickness.”

”Simply add multiple layers, like this, like that,” White Dragon Camid stacked several metal plates together.

Through the dragon’s haphazard gestures, the Fire Dwarf quickly grasped White Dragon’s intention, ”Lord’s meaning is utilizing the 3D stacked usable area, correct?”

”Ah, yes, yes,” White Dragon Camid nodded quickly, ”You’re very smart, you guessed what I meant.”

The Fire Dwarf’s eyes brightened but soon fell into contemplation, muttering quietly, ”This approach is feasible, our mindset was previously limited, accustomed to array extension on a flat plane.”

”However, this would make array extension connectivity a high-skill technical challenge.”

After pondering for a moment, Fire Dwarf Stos eventually nodded, ”Lord Camid’s idea is very sensible.”

”Hahaha,” White Dragon Camid placed both claws on his hips, supporting the dragon’s body with hind legs, half-standing, ”Any other problems, bring it up, I feel quite clever today!”
