Beneath the Red Dragon

Due to a unique set of circumstances, these facets and Karon’s own existence are in a multi-faceted state. They are like contents on different disks of a computer that do not affect each other’s operation, but can be mobilized when needed.

However, even the intense Evil Dragon Blood of an Ancestral Red Dragon cannot endlessly maintain its own appearance in the phantom flow of time, and eventually returns to tranquility.

Just like those Giant Dragons who have survived the Ancient Dragon and the Ancient Giant Dragon Periods, they begin to discard the interference of the Evil Dragon Blood and can choose to possess rational and clear wisdom.

Those Ancient Giant Dragons, as powerful as gods walking within the planes, have also had their Dragon Blood tamed by the long passage of time.

And those Divine Spirits, some of whom have existed since the birth of the world, witnessing its creation and decline, have experienced time far surpassing the thousandfold of Ancient Giant Dragons.

Yet these Divine Spirits, though rarely descending to the world, all possess distinct human traits in legends and stories, be it greed, cunning, or evil.

”Perhaps their most intense desires and emotions are crystallized and fixed within their Divine Positions of these Divine Spirits, to maintain their independent perceptions from the erosion of rules and time, just like Immortal Queen Tiamat,”

”Her Divine Position includes greed, which is a characteristic emotional contagion belonging to the Dragons themselves. If so, it’s not hard to understand why these Divine Spirits are extremely obstinate in handling certain matters, appearing very foolish.”

The contemplative aura of the Ancestral Red Dragon seemed to ripple through its thoughts, causing the surrounding Dragon Group to feel the shift in Karon’s aura, giving the Giant Dragons an indescribable sensation.

It’s like the Demon Dragon Knight and other Legion Warriors seeing the Dragon Group standing majestically among the bone-white barren mounds, with divinity and beastliness coexisting.

In the pupils of these Giant Dragons, the Ancestral Red Dragon also seemed to be shrouded in a divine-like aura.

”Some wise mortals once said that the higher the wisdom, the closer one approaches the domain of divinity, because profound wisdom allows one to see the world clearly, to possess absolute rational thinking, to see through all emotional disturbances, and to abandon all desires, like a Thought Machine from another cosmos,”

White Dragon Gomot extended his head in front of the Ancestral Red Dragon, exclaiming in surprise, ”Karon won’t choose to walk this path, will he? Then what will Karon become — a Giant Dragon or a machine named after a Giant Dragon?”

The adolescent White Dragon, grown to sixteen meters long, is far smarter than his siblings, especially now as he fully controls his Dragon Blood and possesses independent intelligent awareness.

”Impossible,”

Blue Dragon Doss shook his head, the massive horn entwined with lightning patterns and thunderbolt spots. He showed his fangs and spoke softly, ”Karon won’t choose this path. The Empire, though a tool, is now also a kind of bond for him. The Empire and the Dragon Group are his emotional anchor points, and he won’t abandon us.”

The voice of Blue Dragon Doss seemed like it was trying to convince White Dragon Gomot, as well as to comfort his somewhat apprehensive heart.

The Gogomola Dragon Group possesses rare affection and attachment among Dragons, and these Giant Dragons have long been an inseparable part of the family.

Green Dragon Antajena, with eyes sparkling like Jade, laughed softly and, for the first time, used her seductive talent to comfort these worried Giant Dragons.

”For the vast majority of Giant Dragons, the road ahead is straight and wide, and they only need to march forward without looking back. But they only have one path to move forward,”

”But for Giant Dragons like Karon, it’s much more challenging,” the Green Dragon laughed, ”because countless straight and wide paths await his choice. Karon will choose the path he wishes to walk upon and walk it to the end.”

This discussion among the Giant Dragons was not heard by Karon, who was immersed in the Plane Origin Ocean.

Even though the Giant Dragons did manage to guess Karon’s state at a certain point in time, in this state of wisdom contacting the plane rules and full operation, Karon was extremely close to the domain of divinity.

It is by this, gaining insight from tiny clues, through the changes within his own Ancestral Dragon Blood and his own will and spirit, that he speculates on some rules of the Divine Spirits.

But Karon’s own strong subjective will quickly withdrew from the influence of this temporal illusion, moving from a passive to an active state.

With the special talent of the World Tree, the spirit of the Ancestral Red Dragon temporarily roamed in the Origin Ocean of the plane, like a myriad of rules in the void settling below the ocean formed by the Power of Origin.

Those colorless, formless, shapeless, and bodyless manifestations of Plane Origin turned into tangible energy, with every strand containing the power of plane rules.

Yet these plane rules are a complete whole. Even the Ancestral Red Dragon, with its extremely powerful computational abilities, must seek understanding from within, from the essence of Magic, and find the corresponding rules within these complete plane rules, rather than directly computing and observing them.

Thus the body of the Ancestral Red Dragon outside saw the flow of Magic Weaving Stream and light bands formed by Magic Runes start to move.

The eighty-nine thousand three hundred seventeen Magic Runes mastered by the Ancestral Red Dragon, under his will, wove and transformed into various Spell Models, drawing the revealed laws of this world to trigger magical effects.
