Beneath the Red Dragon

In the middle of the desert, an oasis appeared out of nowhere.

It transformed from yellow poplar forests and sand date trees to red goldthorn grass and finally to green weeping willows. Looking around, the endless golden yellow desert was enveloped by an expanse of limitless green forest.

The incredible grassy area was also lush and dense, growing in the desert against all odds.

The dry, restless sand-laden wind seemed blocked by an invisible force, unable to invade the bounds of this green forest. This also caused many small animals in the desert to start gathering from all around and settle in this oasis.

Those patrolling the oasis daily, clad in full heavy armor, didn’t frighten these small animals.

Because these hulking figures, unlike the Fremen, did not consider them food, they treated them as if they didn’t exist, allowing some desert mice and sand foxes to even dare jump onto their shoulders when they stopped for rest.

Only in the central area of this oasis was a forbidden zone that all animals instinctively dared not to touch. There existed a natural aura that even the dullest animals could sense, preventing them from mustering the courage to approach.

Even the boldest of animals would occasionally glimpse from afar, through the occasional gaps in the forest, some of the scales and corners of colossal moving objects.

These animals didn’t know what these creatures were, but the concept and symbolism uniquely inherent in these beings made even their unintelligent minds understand that this was the Giant Dragon’s Greenfield.

Time flowed, the desert remained eternal, and it seemed like these tranquil days would endure indefinitely.

But today, the peace of this green paradise was abruptly disturbed by intense cannon fire and rumblings from the sky.

One after another, the ’Legion Warriors of Burning Hooves’ excitedly emerged from under the shade. For warriors with belligerent blood running through their veins, these tranquil days were a more arduous test of their spirit.

The physical pain was much less challenging than this peaceful yet deathly calm trial.

”Let’s go and see who it is that’s disturbed our master’s rest,” said the legion commander Lenis, unable to conceal excitement in his calm tone.

Under the leadership of Commander Lenis, the patrolling warriors opened two side hatches on the back of their battle armor, extending pairs of demon wings more than ten meters long, flying towards the top of a distant dune on the plain.

Whoosh, boom,

In the sky, dozens of flapping-wing aircraft, under the control of warriors, spewed flames toward the desert hill rock beneath them, shooting the Fremen into riddled corpses.

The fierce energy tongues penetrated and melted the Fremen bodies into holes, and a ship, more than twenty meters in length and resembling an oval eggshell, traversed the sky.

From its gunport, massive ion laser blasts penetrated the brittle hard rock, directly shooting through the Fremen hiding behind it who were counterattacking with laser guns and ion cannons, then exploding them into bits.

Numerous flapping-wing aircraft were shot down by the Fremen, and many Fremen were also instantly killed by the sky’s fierce firepower.

Grounded were many Harkonnen Clan Legion warriors landing on the sand, advancing in groups, coordinating with the firepower above to kill all these spice production sabotage rats.

Paul’s and the Fremen’s daredevil tactics enraged the Harkonnen Clan. Thus, this wealthy clan began to dispatch more forces to eradicate these Fremen.

However, even with the sky’s firepower support, it seemed that the Harkonnen Clan’s warriors were far from being a match for these fierce Fremen warriors.

The Fremen men shouted Paul’s name, their warrior leader and prophet, and courageously engaged in battle. The women even threw their children at the Harkonnen Clan Legion warriors, then plunged onto the warriors’ swords to tear open the defense line, allowing their men to launch an attack.

Paul led his comrades, who had lived in the desert for a long time, their exposure to spice making them exceptionally mighty in battle, dodging the artillery fire and charging the Harkonnen Clan Legion.

His formidable prescient ability and combat skills turned his blade into the Scythe of Death, not a single Harkonnen warrior could withstand him for even a round.

”Follow me, I shall always be at the forefront,”

Paul’s long saber slashed horizontally, deflecting the enemy’s blade, and smoothly severed a Harkonnen warrior’s neck, waving his arm high and calling out, countless Fremen fervently shouted together, walking alongside him, fearless of death.

The flames of war spread across the entire dune since this was not merely a Fremen suicide squad; it was all the Fremen from the Teb Cave gathered here.

Initially, Paul led the Fremen to countless victories due to his potent prescient ability.

But, a few days earlier, the Harkonnen Clan Legion, suddenly with reinforced tens of thousands of troops, discovered the location of the Teb Cave, launching an attack and causing a significant loss to the Fremen.

And all this was something Paul had not foreseen.

Thus, Paul, like his mother Jessica, took the Water of Life, awakening the memory and wisdom of all male and female ancestors in his bloodline.

The memories and experiences of these ancestors were like a large database of information, allowing Paul’s prescient ability to synthesize various known information, inspiring him to observe the branches of future trajectories.
