Beneath the Red Dragon

In this cosmos, ten thousand years ago, humans still huddled on their home planet, but ten thousand years later, humanity has already waged war across the cosmic stars, stepping out from their home planet. A powerful interstellar civilization led to the revival of family rule that once perished in the annals of their home planet’s history.

Thus, various powerful families emerged from their resource-exhausted barren home planet, embarking on a journey to colonize other planets, each with their own right to rule, using planets as their domain to command their subjects.

In this era of extremely flourishing civilization, humanity created true artificial intelligence machines, which they relied on for interstellar travel, planetary construction, and all calculations.

Ultimately, humans even entrusted the tasks of thinking and evolution to an intelligent brain named the ”Thinking Machine.”

But the ”Thinking Machine,” which developed true cognitive capabilities, broke free from the control of these humans who gradually abandoned thinking. The evolved intelligents challenged humanity’s dominance in this world, aiming to become the ”Master of Thought” to subjugate humanity.

However, human courage and will is the heroic anthem of this world.

Hundreds of years ago, ancient humanity abruptly reflected on their actions and boldly launched a revolution known as the ”Butler Holy War,” completely purging all intelligents and Thinking Machines, including all complex computers, from human society.

In this revolutionary holy war, humanity suffered heavy casualties, thus establishing the ultimate law that ”humans cannot be replaced,” legislating to destroy and prohibit the recreation of all kinds of intelligents, making artificial intelligence a taboo in the cosmos.

Affected by this, to once again roam the stars and maintain their own development, humanity invented Mentats as a method of replacing super-powerful computing intelligent machines with human bodies, and the Navigators’ spiritual technology.

And the most important is the spice, an indispensable cosmic material.

Spice is a magical product, also known as Mirena, unique to EraCos Planet and the only known source in the cosmos.

The Navigators of the Navigation Union, who control interstellar travel, rely on consuming large amounts of spice to enhance their computational abilities and activate precognitive navigation capabilities. This is not simply calculation and deduction but an ability to foresee and perceive everything along the route from departure to landing during interstellar travel.

Without spice, Navigators can hardly navigate interstellar voyages, and all known routes in the universe would be interrupted, so mastering spice almost equates to mastering the cosmos.

”So, according to what he said, this magical spice, when ingested, can enhance all human senses, improve physical fitness, extend life, rejuvenate youth, and even, if continuously consumed, achieve immortality?”

Dragons of various scale colors lay crouched at the center of the Floating Island, with curious expressions in their eyes, staring at the human being captured and brought up.

Red Copper Dragon Alfred, as well as Blue Dragon Doss and Blue Dragon Akzhi, were particularly active. Despite the Magic Barrier on the Floating Island powered by numerous Energy Absorption Devices isolating most external influences, the air could still flow naturally, bringing the scent most beloved by these dragons.

As the more composed Blue Dragon of the active dragons, Doss bared its fangs, displaying curiosity and greed on its indifferent face.

The human below the steps wore an outfit somewhat resembling Battle Armor, but it appeared not as strong as the Armor forged from metal like those of the Imperial Legion Warriors or crafted from magic alloys, possessing much less defensive capability, looking more like a survival and functional equipment.

Sakro, the Imperial High Tier Mage, couldn’t suppress the excitement and enthusiasm filling his usually calm eyes, making this High Tier Mage forget to sever his Magic. The spiritual resonance force of the High Tier language connection between him and the big bald head’s brain made the big bald head’s fear and shock also turn into uncontrollable excitement.

”Not only that, Your Excellency Doss,”

Sakro’s nostrils flared with excitement, and the elegant High Tier Mage spattered saliva as he spoke excitedly: ”Long-term consumption of these spices can grant those with talent abilities akin to High Tier Mind Mages or Spiritual Mages,”

”It can also enhance brain computational prowess, improve the quality and strength of Spiritual Power, and acquire powerful foresight abilities. Promoting positive evolution of life is only an auxiliary effect of its use.”

As a Caster, Sakro deeply understood the significance of this spice; unapologetically speaking, it could drive all the world’s Casters mad.

If the Empire could control this crucial resource, in the heart of Caster Sakro, even at the cost of ten Greenfield Worlds it would be worth it, as the most important resource of the Greenfield World—Tree of Life, has already been successively transferred to Icaria World, the stronghold of the Golden Empire.

”Sakro is right. I just probed this guy’s mind and thoughts; this guy cannot lie in front of us,”

The usual calm of the white-haired old Mage was completely absent; his hands trembled slightly as he stepped forward, continuing, ”This magical spice may contain more secrets, being derivatives of some world’s Origin Power, worthy of our investment of time to explore this world.”
