Beneath the Red Dragon

The sand particles cut through the scales of the Red Dragon, slowly wearing away the luster of the scales that are unprotected by any power, grinding the thick and sturdy dragon scales into a thin sheet, to wear through the dragon’s scales and then erase the dragon’s skin and flesh, muscles, and steel bones.

But after Karon absorbed the spice, his control over his body had reached the refinement of every cell. The energy contained in each cell was mobilized by him, extracted bit by bit, and distributed as reserves into the skin under the deliberately polished scale.

Whenever the Red Dragon’s scales were about to be worn through, abundant energy immediately surged in, allowing the Giant Dragon’s scales to quickly grow and form a layer of defense and toughness higher than before.

The skin and flesh on his body not covered by scale armor were the same, as muscles squeezed out sand particles in the decay, then grew, then destructed, reborn through the pain of growth and destruction.

In the world, there are many creatures that, stimulated by injuries, grow stronger after recovery to hone themselves.

The Ancestral Red Dragon is the same; without honing, merely growing and constructing naturally, even with a sub-brain, he couldn’t further enhance his own body strength, just like experiments require a large number of samples to obtain better choices.

As for Karon’s body, relying solely on its natural bulk to move forward in the sandstorm, it was not that his immense weight was heavy enough that even this staggering mighty power couldn’t overturn him.

But because, within his extraordinarily alert brain, the vectors of every presence and every change of the storm were under his control amidst the sweeping sands.

Karon fully mobilized all his muscles and strength, relying on a powerful physique and perception capable of sensing the trajectory and changes of billions of sand particles, every slight change and direction in the wind force, the purpose and function of the force.

By adjusting his subtle movements and balance, the membranes of his wings endured the honing and baptism of the storm on one side while adjusting movements to dispel the impact and sweeping wind force, allowing him to walk through the sandstorm solely with his flesh and brain.

The tremendous computational information made Karon’s brain and sub-brain operate simultaneously, flashing countless vast vectors and changes in wind force in his mind, causing a faint steaming aura to arise among the Red Dragon’s scale armor.

This extraordinary computation required him to provide a massive amount of energy, and the mammoth energy driving through the Red Dragon’s body caused this phenomenon.

Karon hadn’t experienced such rapid brain operation for a long time; he opened his large mouth, excitedly revealing his teeth, forcing himself to endure this state, enabling him to quickly adapt to the results of his growth evolution.

Every time the Ancestral Red Dragon thought his brain was reaching its limit amid the vast computations, his will would surprise him with new capabilities.

In this relentless squeezing and honing, Karon’s potential was exhausted by himself, putting all his energy into the brain, letting his body’s instincts wander aimlessly through the sandstorm.

Until a certain moment, Karon felt the pressure around him suddenly ease, his body instinctively stopped delivering massive energy, and the extremely active brain instantly returned to a calm state, only then did he realize it.

Like a natural disaster, the sandstorm had already moved far behind him, like the shadow of a collapsing sun, moving away from him.

The two moons hung over the dunes, one large and one small, spilling silver moonlight, making the land like mercury yellow sand.

On the distant dune, a man and a woman stood atop the hill, staring in shock at the person and dragon walking out of the grandfather-level desert storm, full of amazement, not even able to move toward a danger sweeping up sand waves from below the sand surface.

The most dreadful creature in the desert, the Sand Worm, sped across the sand’s surface, but suddenly turned away as it neared the one person and one dragon, swirling lightning and sand waves, fleeing far in another direction.

”What is that?”

Paul Atreides and his mother Jessica stared dumbfounded at the slowly approaching one person and one dragon, and in its slow steps, the dragon transformed again into human form, but the previous scene was no illusion.

The two were very aware they had seen the other, like the ancient myth from a home planet long lost to star coordinates, like Moses parting the sea, parting the sandstorm to come.

”No, I don’t know...!”

Lady Jessica’s trembling voice exposed her fear and seriousness beyond doubt.

As a member of the Bene Gesserit Sisterhood, Lady Jessica is a religious member possessing special abilities and awareness.

The Sisterhood that unified all religions was different from other sects that either waited for the Savior’s arrival or worshipped the Savior.

But the Bene Gesserit knew that there were no divine spirits in the world, so they created a Savior, creating a chosen one with their own hands, like the Messiah controlled by the Sisterhood.

This Savior was called the Kwisatz Haderach by the Sisterhood.

For thousands of years, members of the Sisterhood have been aiming for this purpose and experimenting continuously.

They selectively bred by mating with outstanding members of various families to obtain and study the genetics of all human families.

For this purpose, Sisterhood members executing the plan have gained unparalleled abilities through drugs made of spice and rigorous physical and mental training.

The most outstanding could even control their bodies at the cellular level, freely controlling the fetus’s gender when impregnating with the target family’s genes.
