Beneath the Red Dragon

Old Mage Lapus laughed, ”Such matters are enough to stir my aged blood once more. How could I refuse? I’ve been on the path of pursuing legends for decades and should have realized by now that peaceful exploration cannot bring the opportunities we hope for.”

The Ancestral Red Dragon nodded slightly and softly said, ”Then let’s wish that both you and I may have our wishes fulfilled!”

”Hehe, actually, I’m not worried about facing those deities born from the planes. Instead, I should focus more on the journey we’ve embarked upon,”

Lapus’s eyes narrowed again.

Whether in the Mage’s knowledge system, the Dragon Race’s inheritance, or the information gained from dealings with Alien Gods, Karon has sufficient understanding of the nature of deities born from the planes.

Moreover, he also possesses a rough knowledge of that World of Ice and Fire. Although he won’t take his original knowledge as a set standard, it still serves as an important reference.

The Seven Gods, which Karon has decided are Pseudo-Gods, can be set aside for now. In the world, those who have shown divine miracles, like the King of Light, the God of Light and Heat, and the Cold God who has the Other as minions, their actions reveal their circumstances.

Since they were born from the plane, these deities can never truly walk the world. Their names suggest that these two deities are born from certain world origins within the World of Ice and Fire, occupying the origin like plane consciousness.

The King of Light spreads faith, probably to use the Power of Faith to accelerate the cohesion of consciousness and personality, breaking free from the world’s origin, and gaining authority born in the world through the origin matching the name.

In the rumors, the Demon Dragon taking the world by storm is not a naturally occurring creature but the power vessel and incarnation of the God of Light, which is why the King of Light R’hllor also earned the title of Demon Dragon God.

Karon thus speculates that if this King of Light succeeds, his incarnation in the world might be an incredibly powerful, world-spanning Demon Dragon King.

Because the power of the King of Light is obtained by exchanging blood for fire, the birth of the Demon Dragon is the same, and the Demon Dragon wielding the power of fire.

The minions of the Cold God—the Others, also possess similar nature, exchanging human life for the birth of Others.

Karon also deliberately narrowed his eyes in front of the old Mage, saying in a deep voice, ”These Plane Deities have yet to truly be born. Although they possess some Mighty Power of the world, in certain aspects, they’re not as strong as a true Legend. With our power, there’s no need to worry excessively.”

”As for our journey, in truth, it’s not much different from Mages’ travels to Other Planes, just further away!”

”You find it easy,” Lapus shook his head. ”A journey across the Otherworld Cosmos, even a Legendary Mage needs to consider a bit. I truly don’t know where you get this strange knowledge.”

The Ancestral Red Dragon certainly wouldn’t disclose the dealings with Alien Gods to the Mage. Though trust exists between him and the Mage, no matter how much trust, no one would fully reveal all their matters.

Having mastered some knowledge of the Alien God’s conquest of the world, combined with the natural talent of the World Tree Ovo, was enough to give the Ancestral Red Dragon considerable confidence.

Moreover, they had already conducted a ”small experiment” earlier.

”Why would the knowledge inherited by the Dragon Race be less abundant than that of the Mage’s heritage?” Karon turned his head, looking down at the Floating Island that stayed awake throughout the night, revealing a slight grin.

A dragon, a man, remained silent until dawn.

As sunlight poured down, the dragon and the man became lively once more.

”Let’s go, it’s time,”

The Ancestral Red Dragon spread its wings and swooped toward the Floating Island, with the Mage following closely.

The Royal Banner atop the Floating Island fluttered fiercely in the wind. Various Giant Dragons raised their heads, Legion Warriors stood ready, and Mages remained steadfast, awaiting the arrival of the Dragon Emperor.

As the Ancestral Red Dragon rode the wind, the voice of the World Tree Ovo sounded, ”Dad, I’m ready!”

Thus the Ancestral Red Dragon spread its wings, gazing proudly at the sun in the sky, ”Hehe, I wonder whether the barrier set by ancient Mages can shield the light we’re about to radiate.”

His expansive wings, stretching up to forty-five meters long, extended as he laughed confidently, ”Come, come, follow me. Let’s give it a try,”

”Let’s see, whether the might of will and thought can truly, through a vessel of power, transcend space and time, surpassing past and present!”

Rumble,

As the Ancestral Red Dragon spoke, the roots of the World Tree, embedded deep in the World’s Origin, shot from the ground, soaring into the sky, piercing straight through the center tower of the Floating Island.

The thick roots penetrated the tower, exposing the immense sinewy body, coiling as if amassing astounding power.

Buzz, buzz, buzz,

Countless Energy Absorption Towers on the Floating Island activated one by one, causing the whole floating island to tremble and sink slightly, as the Magic Power in the surrounding air was fervently drawn upon by the towers.

Even the sunlight above seemed to be absorbed by these hundreds of Energy Absorption Devices, making the cascading sunlight appear like ripples distorted in the air.

Mages raised their Magic Staffs, stirring spiritual storms, lighting up the Array that enveloped the entire island with boiling Magic Power.

The gigantic phantom of the Three-headed Sea Demon re-emerged, yet it was no less than the dragons spreading their wings.

The chest of the Ancestral Red Dragon glowed, as his immeasurable Magic Power and strength surged wildly, causing dragon bodies to expand—a reflection of the boiling bloodline being highly efficiently released at the Array’s nodes.

The towering power shook the whole Floating Island, accompanied by the illumination of Plane Core Gemstones atop the hundreds of Energy Absorption Towers, distorting the surrounding space to resemble shattered glass.

A blazing beam of light shot straight into the sky, penetrating the Nine Heavens above like sunlight cascading to earth, blindingly radiant, sweeping the world for thousands of miles.

In a thunderous roar resonating through the world, the roots of the World Tree traversing heaven and earth and the Floating Island vanished without a trace.

Only the mending scar beneath the firmament remained for a long time, not dispersing, causing the creatures on the ground to hesitate drawing near.
