Beneath the Red Dragon

As for the Ancestral Red Dragon, though he had just entered adolescence a few years ago and still had decades of growth before reaching the young stage among the Giant Dragons, his strength had already far surpassed the Dragons in the Dragon Group.

But even the strongest Ancestral Red Dragon could not confidently claim to face those terrifying opponents. Because the Legendary is a different existence, the Innate Power possessed by the Ancestral Red Dragon’s Blood may not necessarily surpass the Legendary Power.

”So, youth is our shortcoming, but also our advantage,”

The Light of Spirit between the Ancestral Red Dragon’s claws suddenly floated into the air. He grinned, his fangs reflecting a cold light, and softly laughed, ”This is a part of my power, but I am willing to share it with you, just as during our fledgling days, the Dragon Group made the Dragon’s Covenant to never betray each other!”

”However, accepting my sharing might mean you will be influenced by me in some ways. Although I am somewhat eager, the choice still lies with you.”

Karon surveyed the Dragon Group, speaking openly and straightforwardly.

As the master of Spiritual Authority, these replicated powers of Spiritual Authority would also be influenced by the Ancestral Red Dragon. He has the supreme authority to influence and control these Secondary Authorities.

This also means that the Giant Dragons who received this gift will find it difficult to sever this connection until their strength reaches the level of the Ancestral Red Dragon.

The other Giant Dragons hesitated a bit; even the few adolescent dragons who had grown up together from fledgelings were contemplating this choice.

This is the nature of Giant Dragons; even the Five-Colored Dragon God Tiamat cannot control those evil dragons that do not worship her, unless through overwhelming violence.

Only White Dragon Camid, this White Dragon with a second head, for once managed to unify the two heads and stepped forward from the Dragon Group, standing directly in front of the Ancestral Red Dragon.

”Karon, let me be first. I’ve been thinking about how to get stronger. I was going to fight a couple of rounds in the arena and earn some gold coins, but there are too many warriors there. I was afraid of losing and embarrassing you, so I didn’t!”

”Once I become stronger, I’ll crush those arrogant guys, hahaha!”

Camid puffed up his chest and swished his tail, both his heads nodding as they focused their curious eyes on the Light of Spirit swirling in the air, though there was not a hint of doubt or hesitation.

Karon smiled gently, having the greatest tolerance and patience for Camid.

Thus, the Red Dragon gathered the brightest Light of Spirit swirling in the air into his claw, then gently pressed it onto the original head of White Dragon Camid.

When the Red Dragon’s claw left the White Dragon’s head, a mark resembling tiny starlights appeared on the scale at the center of Camid’s forehead, making the scale glisten brightly.

This symbolized that the White Dragon had not fully assimilated the Spiritual Power shared by the Red Dragon.

But before White Dragon Camid could joyously speak, he was pushed to the back by the other adolescent dragons.

With White Dragon Camid’s leading example, the rest of the original Dragon Group’s Giant Dragons immediately dropped their hesitations, crowding forward with eyes full of eagerness and anticipation.

Red Dragon Kleyna and Green Dragon Antajena flaunted their alluring lines more overtly, twisting their slender necks before the Ancestral Red Dragon’s gaze.

But it was Red Copper Dragon Alfred who pushed to the forefront, disregarding his mate who was still pondering, laughing loudly, ”Let me, let me, Karon, if I get your sharing, can I also have beauty like yours?”

The Ancestral Red Dragon laughed in spite of himself and shared the Spiritual Power one by one, and even Bronze Dragon Alina eventually stepped forward, lowering her head to receive this power.

But the hesitance of these dragons made the other Giant Dragons grind their teeth. Outside of these Dragon Lords, the newly joined Giant Dragons in the Dragon Group did not receive the Ancestral Red Dragon’s sharing, except for Blue Dragon Carlette.

In the Dragon Group, there must be distinctions of merit and rank to secure governance, and the later-joining dragons must provide more value to receive the Ancestral Red Dragon’s gift.

”This time, the Dragon Group hunts, but a Giant Dragon needs to oversee the Imperial affairs,” the Ancestral Red Dragon’s gaze swept across the faces of those Giant Dragons who did not receive sharing, ”I hope you maintain the Imperial, and when the Dragon Group returns, merits will be discussed,”

”You are also members of the Dragon Group and naturally enjoy the rights of the Dragon’s Covenant!”

The Ancestral Red Dragon’s words were clear and understandable, making several Giant Dragons excited. White Dragon Sloraka and Young Red Dragon Kedelos pounded the ground with low growls.

Steel Dragon Midir, though not skilled in combat, craved the Ancestral Red Dragon’s mighty power he had witnessed, patting his smooth chest repeatedly like the Royal Court Hall’s floor, making promises repeatedly.

Only Fog Dragon Deniro nodded and said, ”This is our duty.”

Karon nodded, leading the Dragon Group towards the hall’s center, ”Come, before we set off, meet with our old friends. If we indulge in current stability, the Imperial will eventually fall apart like the Storm Giants’ tribe and slowly vanish.”

Standing at the Royal Court’s gate, the Commander of the Imperial Guard, leaning on his sword, nodded slightly, breaking a long silence, and said to the waiting Storm Giant Garcia, ”Go in, my lord has been looking forward to your arrival!”
