Beneath the Red Dragon

Even with the scorching heat baking their battle armor, these warriors remain unaffected.

To conserve energy, these warriors, even while traversing the desert, can’t be bothered to use Heart Energy to activate their armor’s Magic Shield device; they rely solely on their bodies to carry the armor, which is also a method of self-cultivation for them.

”Your Majesty!”

Two warriors slightly bowed, saluting their Emperor.

”The mages and warriors sent by Lord Sakro have infiltrated the spice mining area with Harkonnen Clan warrior Laban, and they have, oh, brought back a large quantity of spices. After the mages’ research, they’ve derived experimental results!”

”Oh,”

The Ancestral Red Dragon nodded slightly, smiling lightly, ”Truly good news, let’s go back and see the mages’ results.”

Whoosh,

The Ancestral Red Dragon spread its wings wide, flapping and rising into the sky, stirring the fierce winds and flying thousands of meters high into the distance.

There lies a vast shadow of magic, blocking mortal sight and shielding from foresight and detection, which is now the empire’s main base—the Floating Island.

The two warriors also extended their giant wings like demons, bent their legs slightly, charged into the sky, and followed behind the Ancestral Giant Dragon.

When Karon passed through the Magic Barrier and wall barrier and landed on the Floating Island, the place was less populated, with only two night-watch White Dragons lying in the center of the island, their vertical pupils seemingly closed, resting peacefully.

But the temporary labs set up by the mages on the island were already crowded with noisy and excited mages, calming down only upon seeing the Ancestral Red Dragon’s figure.

”Your Majesty, our experiments have yielded results,”

The leader among the High Tier Mages, Sakro, had already come forward, and the Holy Sanctuary Grandmaster Lapus, who obtained the results, was eagerly sneaking, oh, bringing back some more spices. At this moment, he was wandering around the Harkonnen Clan’s spice base with some clever mages, so the affairs on the Floating Island were being handled by this young High Tier Mage.

Karon walked into the experimental camp, transforming into the appearance and visage of the human Emperor, as the makeshift lab was not sufficient to allow the passage of the Ancestral Red Dragon’s body.

Within the laboratory camp, various precious Magic Instruments contained powders resembling the color of sunshine on sand grains, appearing like gilded gold dust.

During the vaporization experiments within the instruments, these spices presented themselves as pale orange clouds and were marked—with a bitter cinnamon flavor.

Moreover, the spices placed in silverware would appear blue under the influence of the silver light and other experimental conditions.

In a very short time, these mages had performed a wide range of experiments on the spices to ensure their efficacy and properties.

There were also two Low Tier Mages and Dragon-blood Warriors volunteering as experimental personnel in the camp. At this moment, under the subsequent observation and investigation by the Casters, they maintained a safe distance within a small Magic Barrier, looking at the Emperor’s entrance with a faint blue light barely visible in their pupils.

”Your Majesty, after the Low Tier Casters used the spices, according to our measurements, there was an increase in both the breadth and strength of their Spiritual Power, to varying extents,”

”Considering it was the first experiment and at a conservative usage level, the enhancement effect is equivalent to at least two years of meditation for a mage,”

Sakro pointed to the experimental staff and said, ”Even the warriors honored and strengthened by bathing in Dragon Blood experienced some slight enhancements. Further testing proved that this substance is not only harmless to Dragon-blood Creatures but also useful.”

”However, with the physical quality and bloodline intensity of a Giant Dragon, to achieve the maximum efficacy of the spice, the dosage would be about twenty times that of a Low Tier Caster!”

”Very well, you’ve done excellently, truly worthy of the Imperial elite,”

Karon nodded, walked over to the remaining spices sealed in Magic Instruments, which the mages had already separated and labeled as the exclusive spice for the Dragons, stored in Crystal Jars carved from crystal by the Casters.

Originally joyous and smiling, Mage Sakro was startled by the Emperor’s actions, hurriedly stammering, ”Your Majesty, although the spice has been tested with harmless results for the Giant Dragons, it’s only been targeted at Dragon-blood Warriors,”

”Would you like to have other Dragon Crown Majesties try it first?”

Karon smiled gently, replying, ”No worries, even some poisons are seldom deadly to a Giant Dragon, I’m confident!”

Sakro did not speak further, only with a slightly worried expression. Even though confident in the Emperor, for these warriors and mages, the empire’s pillar couldn’t afford any mishap.

Karon took a sealed spice Crystal Jar from the Magic Instruments, then walked out of the experimental camp, gazing around at the vast Floating Island structure, nearly entirely occupied by buildings.

Thus he transformed back into his true dragon form, leaping from the Floating Island and descending into the desert below.

In this desert, even if he caused some commotion due to the spice usage, it wouldn’t damage the Floating Island. The high-altitude vision control on the Floating Island was also sufficient to help the Red Dragon forewarn of any approaching danger.

Moreover, the earth is also the Red Dragon’s domain.
