Beneath the Red Dragon

The heart energy surged wildly within Sakaro’s body, and a golden dragon eye mark appeared in the center of his forehead, vivid and lifelike, similar to the vertical pupil of a dragon in the sky that once opened.

And the eye on his forehead slowly opened at this moment, fixing its gaze on the Faceless Ones who stood silently and did not intervene.

”What about you, Faceless Ones, newly established sect, do you agree with my opinion?”

Sakaro smiled, calm yet terrifying.

The leader of the Faceless Men Sect bowed slightly, these newborn servants now made no effort to resist the determination of this fervent rejecter of foreign faiths.

”We worship the ultimate God of Death, equal before the God of Death are slaves, nobility, and monarchs alike,”

The leader of the Faceless Ones said, ”Even if it is the King of Light R’hllor, Drowned God, Cold God, Goat, Night Lion, and Stranger, they are all just one aspect of this multi-faceted God of Death,”

”It seems those survivors are not yet stepping into the journey of death in the eyes of this ultimate God of Death, so he incarnates as the Sun God, Lord of Light, Dragon God, descends to the mortal world, allowing all living beings to continue their struggle in the Mortal World.”

Sakaro frowned, though the Faceless Ones appeared to desire to submit to him, they were disputing with him in their language over the interpretation of teachings and Divine Spirits, his hatred for these people grew, even at this moment, they still thought of seizing power and profits.

But he held back his anger, thought deeply for a moment, then raised his eyes again, stepped forward, speaking firmly: ”The True God is the Sun God, also the universal Dragon, the various pseudo-gods are nothing but clumsy imitations of the True God’s myriad aspects.”

”Only by submitting to the pseudo-gods of the True God can they be granted a divine name, to manage his powers,”

”What do you think,” Sakaro raised the dagger, asking loudly.

The Faceless Ones looked at each other, theoretically, they were quite principled people, but the problem was that principles were now in the hands of the other party.

So the leader of the Faceless Ones nodded, ”Precisely!”

”Glad we reached consensus here,” Sakaro retracted his Valyrian Steel dagger, spoke loudly, ”Then we should leave.”

”Leave here, spread the glory of the true Lord, defeat one by one the belief of the pseudo-gods,”

Sakaro pointed at the Valerian city in the distance, laughed: ”That is the Dragon God under my Lord’s throne, a King God walking and ruling on his behalf, we need sufficiently substantial gifts to step onto that land of miracles when it reappears in smoke and fire, to pay tribute to the Divine Spirit!”

”Only with enough merit, follow the King God, to the real realm of the Main God!”

The ships on the distant sea gradually drifted away.

The burning glass candles gradually dimmed, until they were about to extinguish.

But the fire on the Valerian Peninsula never ceased, burning daily and nightly, the thick smoke gradually spread around, hiding this Land of the Apocalypse in the clouds.

Survivors of Valerian’s apocalypse gathered almost entirely in this rising city, waiting day by day for the flames to extinguish, once again stepping onto the land of the Mortal World.

Occasionally, some lucky ones from the fiery ruins rushed to the base of this Miracle City, kneeling and praying, granted permission, then could climb up from the Black Dragon’s massive body, where its tail touched the ground, to enter the city.

Days after the initial few, the city’s remaining resources and food had been distributed and consumed completely.

To sustain life, under the leadership of the Imperial Legion, the city’s people had no choice but to slaughter the Demon Dragons for meat.

The remaining Demon Dragons snuggled under the ever-growing statue of the Black Dragon, not daring to resist, surrendering their necks to be slain, dying with sorrowful cries.

Days passed by, the fires gradually dwindled, the fire columns spewing from the broken mountains began to weaken.

But cities outside the Valerian Peninsula, once ruled by the Fortress of Freedom, also received this astounding news, the world’s tremor, even distant cities could sense it.

Thus each asserted independence one by one, naming their cities Free Trade City-States.

They dispatched many warriors with slave owners and nobles to investigate the truth of Valerian’s destruction and witness the facts of Valerian’s obliteration.

From the Land of Long Summer across the sea, they gazed at Valerian shrouded in apocalypse’s afterglow, cheering and jumping with joy.

They held feasts on the prairie, celebrating the disappearance of Demon Dragons from the world, the nobles and slave owners no longer had shackles above them, they were the supreme Power Holders.

The feast lasted nearly half a month, they slaughtered cattle and sheep, brought in fine wines, sang and danced.

But one morning, they were awakened again by the voices of the world, they stepped out of their encampments, raised eyes towards the horizon.

In the place shrouded by smoke and ashes from the destroyed Valerian, opened wing after wing, giant Demon Dragon after giant Demon Dragon emerged from the clouds.

Thirty-meter dragons, fifty-meter dragons, hundred-meter dragons,

Ten, fifty, hundred, two hundred,

All remaining Demon Dragons flew out of the smoke, traveling across the sea.

On their backs were riders, survivors, and also new Conquerors.

A colossal Giant Dragon traversed above all Demon Dragons, ruling them all, reigning over all people.
