Beneath the Red Dragon

Karon, with a hint of cheer, promised due rewards to Scholar Mage Mobius and all the scholars of the research department.

The Golem Construction Technology was originally the exclusive Legion Magic of mages with orthodox lineage. These powerful mages not only used numerous golems to protect their kingdom—Mage’s Tower.

Even after leaving the Mage’s Tower, the golem legion could still be summoned by the mages, entering the battlefield and unleashing immense power. On the battlefield, golems were war instruments that ordinary legions found hard to withstand.

Although for ordinary casters, constructing golems required immense effort, time, and materials, for a gradually complete empire, this was not such a heavy burden.

With a gradually mature division of labor production system in magic, casters and alchemy craftsmen worked in collaboration. As long as managers allocated tasks properly, given the current situation, a basic-level golem could be completed in about half a month.

And the golems crafted by the Golden Empire, although appearing no different from those made by ancient mages, were driven by the souls of heroic spirits who once bathed in blood on the battlefield.

This makes the empire’s golem legion far more powerful than golems of the same level, as these golems possess strength along with sufficient intelligence and discipline to fulfill various precise task commands.

Upon the completion of improvements to the basic-level golems, Scholar Mage, now among the series of Wise Kings, Mobius, immediately submitted a new round of plans to Karon on the spot.

This plan was named—’Imperial Divine Soldier Plan.’ This scholar mage, who received a long-term life reward, sought further resources and funds to create more formidable golems, forging war divine soldiers to traverse the battlefield for the empire.

”Your Majesty, according to the research department’s discourse, golems are divided into various levels based on their capabilities. The current golems are merely the most basic level,”

”Although the Steel Blade and Iron Sword cannot be damaged, their power is quite limited and thus named Evil Wolf Level, these golems, on the battlefield, are like wolves tearing the flesh of the empire’s enemies.”

”In addition, there are legion-level golems capable of altering battlegroup-level war situations, city-breaking golems capable of seizing steadfast cities, and Titan-Level golems as mighty as Titan Giants,”

Scholar Mage Mobius, in his area of expertise, spoke endlessly, strongly urging his sovereign to complete this great plan.

The name of Mobius will also be engraved on the merit columns of any city in the empire with the completion of this great plan, enjoying the reverent glory of later generations.

Fame and fortune are chains from which all beings, even the gods, cannot escape, serving as the driving force behind the thriving of all things.

”You have done well, without betraying the empire’s trust and my expectations,”

The spiritual light of magic power blossomed between Karon’s clawed fingers; a small Golden Sealed Jade Seal surfaced between his slender claws. This seal was made of Golden Edge Jade, its overall design resembling a giant dragon coiled atop a high platform.

It was Karon’s personal seal as the Emperor of the Imperial, yet it held supreme power within the borders of the empire as well.

Karon applied the seal on the plan submitted by Scholar Mage Mobius, granting it the approval and consent of the Emperor of the Imperial Empire. Then Mobius could normally submit it to the Imperial Planning Department and various related departments, where these departments would review the funding to be invested.

Though Karon possessed the power to decide with a word, he never considered himself omnipotent or omniscient. He was self-assured, not arrogant.

Matters of expertise should be left to professionals; the whole empire was born for this, established for him.

Mobius’s smile grew from his lips to almost touch his ears, struggling to repress his inner excitement as he trembled while receiving his plan.

This fellow, alongside many scholars and mages, was secretly planned by Karon in earlier years.

Personnel with differing opinions now belong to the empire’s Unified Planning Department, constantly planning talent for the empire.

The scattered chess pieces distributed by Karon in earlier years have now begun to exert their due force, proving Karon’s foresight and understanding of this era’s unique experience and insight.

Goblin Shanshan and several human merchant group’s tentacles could bring vast intelligence information to the Dragon Group Empire, consolidated and investigated by the intelligence system, then sent back to the Imperial Headquarters.

The empire’s Unified Planning Department then formulates appropriate plans, implementing plans for each talent, secretly recruiting a large number of buried or reclusive talents for the empire.

Although the Dragon Group Empire’s current reputation is not particularly attractive, what the Golden Empire can offer these individuals is treatment no one else can.

Even merely extending life is a temptation no short-lived species can escape.

”However,” Karon shifted his tone, watching the Scholar Mage Mobius’s face suddenly tense up.

Karon displayed a smile and said calmly, ”Your research results indeed delight me, but there’s still a point that needs improvement before you make that enhancement. I hope you can devote all your efforts to that aspect.”
