Beneath the Red Dragon

At night, in the capital of the Fortress of Freedom, the prosperous Valerian City, lights were everywhere, not far from the towering base of the Fourteen Fire Peaks.

The volcanic peaks here were different from ordinary volcanoes. Ordinary volcanoes fluctuate between eruption and calm, but the Fourteen Fire Peaks were particularly unique.

Many places in these Fire Peak Mountains seemed forever shrouded in unquenchable flames, yet they did not erupt, as if some magical force had altered these ever-burning peaks.

Even merely standing several miles away at the mountain’s base, one could still feel the heat from those volcanoes ceaselessly gushing from the earth, bringing warmth and magic power to the world.

Black Dragon Rosani used an imperfectly mastered transformation skill to take the form of a handsome young man in a black robe, standing in a vast slave master’s manor, gazing up at the always-burning peaks at the base of the mountains, illuminated by the bright lights of the manor.

Handsome and spirited, every dragon in the Gogomola Dragon Group, regardless of appearance, form, or strength, was outstanding among true dragon species of the same age.

Although Black Dragon Rosani had some comical moments in daily interactions with the dragon group, his appearance seemed nobler than those pretentious nobles.

Where Rosani was looking was a point determined by casters to be the most intense source of magic power in the entire Fortress of Freedom area near Essos Continent, and a crucial magic node.

Or rather, it could be considered one of the magic sources of the nearby continent.

This place was also the most suitable for establishing a plane coordinate tower, opening a permanent channel between two plane worlds.

Casters only needed to follow procedures, establish a plane coordinate signal tower, and then use a magic array to draw the immense magic power from beneath the Fourteen Fire Peaks to open a passage.

Thus bringing in the subsequent support legions of the empire and then, according to known information and plans, conquer the entire world, making this world a provider for the Golden Empire.

Most importantly, in Black Dragon Rosani’s mind, the two-legged demon dragons of this world were quite suitable to become food for the dragon group.

Using these demon dragons as food could allow the giant dragons to develop more perfectly. Now, after a period of feeding, Black Dragon Rosani’s body had grown to be sixteen meters long.

This size was already equivalent to the youth stage size of many large dragon species in the Icaria World, and some smaller true dragon species could only aspire to reach this size after reaching adulthood.

Black Dragon Rosani had already generated the idea of turning this world into a pasture for the dragon group, raising these demon dragons and allowing the dragon group to prey freely once the race of demon dragons expanded.

”Perhaps, this was Karon’s original intent: to consume all, to strengthen the bloodline,”

Black Dragon Rosani occasionally entertained this thought.

”The true dragon species of the past, initially star realm beings, were free and powerful, preying on creatures from countless worlds. Maybe the initial giant dragons were so mighty for this reason.”

It must be said, now in the Gogomola Dragon Group, when encountering some benefits, giant dragons would first think of leveraging the dragon group’s strength to amplify these benefits and gladly share them.

Black Dragon Rosani shifted his gaze to the dark sky. Even as deep night approached, there were still dragon knights, riding dragons of varied appearances and scale colors, patrolling in the sky.

Some had golden eyes and silver scales, appearing lavish; some had red scales and copper crowns, moving swiftly; others were lean, fierce, and terrifying giant beasts.

These massive beasts were ridden by small humans, who, like hounds, patrolled everywhere, attempting to find traces of outsiders.

Black Dragon Rosani smirked coldly, ”Pathetic inferior species, if they are willing to submit beneath the loins of mortals, they might as well become food for the mouth of true dragons, offering their last value to the noble dragons.”

In the Endless Plane, even if there were legendary Dragon Knights, those true dragons regarded the knights on their backs as mere pets they kept themselves, and most were willing to cooperate with other races just for fun.

Even the notorious star pirates, the Ghis Yankees, a race that enjoyed riding red dragons to raid across the star sea, only managed because they clung to the leg of the Immortal Queen Tiamat and signed a contract with the Five-Colored Dragon God.

Even so, generally, the Ghis Yankees could only control young red dragons because once red dragons matured, even the contract after immortality couldn’t restrain these red dragons’ proud hearts.

Mature red dragons often directly refused to work or chose to work independently, growing bigger and stronger after accumulating enough experience. Even so, the Ghis Yankees still had to pay mature red dragons significantly.

Although the legions of the Golden Empire had hundreds of bat-winged flying dragons in service, ridden by human and other species’ warriors, Black Dragon Rosani still displayed the Dragon Race’s distinctive dual standards.

It was also related to the significant pressure these demon dragon knights brought.

Though Black Dragon Rosani was a perfect true dragon, at least among these two-legged demon dragons, he couldn’t confront the assault of a thousand demon dragons head-on.

Even with the collective assault of dozens of demon dragons, Black Dragon Rosani could only choose to avoid their sharp edges.
