Beneath the Red Dragon

”Dad, everyone’s helped me pinpoint the exact coordinates of that world,” the voice of World Tree Ovo sounded in Karon’s ear, though it carried a hint of displeasure.

Because a black giant dragon was eyeing World Tree Ovo with a covetous gaze, seemingly ready to bite a piece.

Black Dragon Rosani, this black dragon, will undertake the pioneering mission of opening up the world. Although he is the first giant dragon in the Dragon Group to open up a world, he will not be the last one.

Because all the dragons in the Dragon Group have to undergo this process, face these challenges.

”However, although the concept of dragons exists in this world, those dragons are too weak. They may appear large, but Dad might only need one claw to crush them,”

World Tree Ovo asked somewhat puzzled, ”Dad, is it that you want to taste them? Otherwise, there’s not much worth challenging in this world, even those similar to Plane Deity cannot truly descend into the world and cannot resist Dad’s power.”

Karon smiled and shook his head, holding immense patience towards World Tree Ovo. This little one was very obedient in Karon’s heart, making him very fond.

”Ovo, remember, no matter how strong you become, every small creature in the world has something worth learning.”

Karon gently patted the body of the World Tree and said lightly, ”In legends, whether it’s Platinum Dragon God Bahamut or Immortal Queen Tiamat, they both want to create perfect creatures, to create the most perfect dragon in the world.”

”But even Primordial Dragon God Ayo didn’t consider himself the perfect dragon, let alone Bahamut and Tiamat’s creations.”

”Once Tiamat, after devouring the Three-tailed Dragon Queen, it wasn’t just to seize divine position but also to complete and enhance her own power and essence,”

Karon laughed, ”The path I want to take is farther than Tiamat’s, because I don’t have her innate shackles. Now, I’m just a mortal. But even the Ancient Dragon was born from a weak dragon egg.”

”Ovo, remember to maintain your pride, but never be overconfident.”

”I understand, Dad, I’m ready,”

World Tree Ovo shook its branches, and pure energy converged on this World Tree, opening a massive inter-plane teleportation gate in front of the square before the Royal Court.

”Dad, it’s done. Next, we just need those Casters to establish a coordinate tower according to the gate I opened, then maintain the teleportation gate themselves. I’m a bit tired, want to take a nap.”

Listening to World Tree Ovo’s tired voice, Karon gently patted the body of the World Tree. Despite them opening the plane’s gate across endless distances, even the naturally gifted World Tree Ovo seemed to expend great energy before growing to a sufficient height.

Karon squatted down slightly, and with slender fingers tapped the foreheads of the two snake cubs pleadingly raising their heads, and said softly, ”Go, fledglings need to leave the nest eventually to soar high. Growth without trials is merely a bloated swine.”

”I know you two have longed for the outside world; it’s time for you to face it,”

Karon watched the two snake cubs affectionately rub their round heads against his fingers and couldn’t help but smile, ”You two, are definitely not the settling kind. Remember not to die out there, sometimes, strength doesn’t determine everything.”

”Don’t worry, Dad, I’m very strong. It’s just in front of the powerful Dad that I seem less strong,” Grinek flapped his tail with a whistling sound, proudly raising his head.

”I know, Dad, when I see danger, I’ll run straight away,” Haninek also raised his head loudly, ”I’ve remembered Dad’s words, being alive is everything.”

Karon shook his head, somewhat amused by Haninek, the little snake cub.

Then he stood up, looked at Black Dragon Rosani, and said, ”Rosani, you’re already a mature giant dragon. I’m very confident in handing this mission to you, but I want a promise.”

Black Dragon Rosani’s carefree demeanor immediately became solemn, he laid on the ground, gazing at Karon and said in a deep voice, ”Karon, speak, I’ll do my best to fulfill your request.”

Karon patted the head of Black Dragon Rosani who leaned in, and said softly, ”Relax, Rosani, my request is simple; don’t be careless due to your strength, come back alive.”

Black Dragon Rosani was silent for a moment, revealing his shiny fangs, he glanced around the entire garden, as if sweeping over the world, then laughed and said, ”Alright!”
