Beneath the Red Dragon

There are scholar doctors assigning tasks to a group of scholar mages, along with some unique scholars who are entirely ordinary people, but within the domain of the Imperial, they hold certain positions, such as scholars in industries like livelihood, economy, regulation planning, etc.

”Your primary goal is to detect the mineral resources reserved in this world for constructing the Elemental Pool and Miser Core, focusing on seventy-three lacking materials and their substitute derivatives. If discovered, report to the headquarters immediately.”

”The secondary goal is to investigate and identify various effective natural resources in this world that can be utilized by us and to annotate them one by one.”

The leading scholar explained each task to his team according to the reporting instructions on the documents.

He turned to another team of scholars and instructed, ”Your task is to use your own methods to investigate and analyze the civilization system and structure of this world, as well as its development potential, and assess the value of this world.”

”Provide reference for the strategies adopted by the Imperial, whether it is colonial rule, joint development, or extermination plunder, the more detailed information you provide, the better.”

”And as for you,” the scholar turned to look at the caster team and smiled, ”Your task is relatively easy, try to scour all information and research results related to the power system. I think you casters, compared to me, a mere mortal, are more aware of this aspect, so I won’t say more.”

Once the scholar leading the team finished instructing, he coughed twice and said formally, ”I believe I have explained everything. Everyone here has voluntarily signed up to participate, but I do not wish to hear any discussions of justice or injustice arise within my team during the exploration and expansion of the world.”

The scholar’s expression turned serious, his somewhat dim pupils radiating an awe-inspiring light, his old voice carrying an icy warning, ”You must remember, you are all a part of the Golden Empire, everything you do is for the Imperial, for the citizens of the Imperial, for the Dragon Group, for the Supreme King!”

”Whoever dares to sabotage my plans and actions, I will personally carry his head and nail it in the Sin Forest.”

All the scholars present, even the casters, showed a change in expression, their eyelids involuntarily twitching.

The Sin Forest, also known as the Forest of Sin, originally surrounded the Royal Capital several miles away, preserved as a protective forest. But after the Beastman War, the heads of those beastmen who dared to invade the Imperial were hung in that forest.

Countless white bones almost filled the periphery of the forest area. And since then, Within the Imperial already regarded there as a place to punish sins.

If someone violated the Imperial laws, with sins enough to be sentenced to death, they were granted burial only in that forest.

Now, that forest of sin is full of graves, white bones intertwined, even those brave adventurers only dare venture into the outskirts of that forest during noon when the sun is strong enough to penetrate the dense forest.

Residents Within the Imperial, although seldom harmed by some of the peculiar creatures born within, also refuse to enter that forest.

Despite the Witch Demon slumbering in that forest, awarded by the Imperial’s Emperor, it serves as the Witch Demon’s nurturing ground and research site.

And the Witch Demon’s duty is to manage those unusually born peculiar creatures lest they rush out of the forest and cause destruction, as well as to protect the citizens of the Imperial.

Yet every official member of the Imperial is filled with disdain for this forest.

Flying Dragon Battle Corps Commander Batorri looked towards the majestic Royal Court’s rear garden, where the towering World Tree stood visible today in the world rather than hidden.

Although this World Tree had grown to thirty meters high, it still couldn’t compare to the height of the Royal Court, not only because the Royal Court was extraordinarily tall from its initial construction.

But also because the master of the Royal Court, the emperor of the Imperial, Karon Gogomola’s growth caused even the massive mountain range to grow alongside the growth of the Ancestral Red Dragon.

Not to mention a castle that, though grand, appeared so ordinary under the Red Dragon’s might.

But in the Royal Court’s rear garden, under the branches vaguely extending from the World Tree Ovo, stood an Elf indescribably masculine and handsome, with an unparalleled bone structure and peerless skin, whose posture was full of perfect harmony and integration with the real world.

Like the center of the world, everyone’s gaze at first sight would be instantly drawn to this Elf, even the massive World Tree and the gigantic black Giant Dragon standing beside the Elf would be overshadowed by the Elf’s brilliance.

Two Titan Demon Pythons slithered down the tall World Tree, circling and cajoling around the Elf’s feet, with their round heads darting pink tongues like two little puppies, their fatty tails wagging.

Karon, in the guise of an Elf, possesses not only unparalleled beauty but also inherent affinity for all things and affairs, a talent of the High Elf, now also one of Karon’s facial aptitudes.

Under such an enhancement, the charm of Karon’s true Giant Dragon form, although not inferior to the Elf guise, due to the formidable presence and seemingly overwhelming strength of the Giant Dragon form, led the two little snakes to favor Karon’s current form even more.
