Beneath the Red Dragon

The King of Light R’hllor, known among the Dragon Kings, is sometimes referred to as the Demon Dragon God, which is why Witch Nalia is so shocked. Even those priests who occasionally witness the miracles of the King of Light R’hllor cannot discern the true appearance of the King of Light.

”No,” a Red-robed Monk, Sakaro, at this moment tore off the necklace from his neck and threw the emblem with the Heart of Flame into the sea.

Then he looked at the dragon in the sky and said, ”This is the true Lord of Light and Flame, the supreme Dragon God. The pseudo-god R’hllor only hides behind, manipulating the world with his tools.”

”If the pawns cannot fulfill his purpose, he will bring down punishment, even if it means destroying all beings. He is the Demon God, drawing blood and life, masquerading as light and beauty, at the cost of innocent souls.”

”Are you insane? How dare you slander the faith of the True God,” another Red-robed Monk stood up, shouted angrily, ”To slander the faith of the Lord of Light, you will be punished, your soul will never find release!”

As soon as the words of this Red-robed Monk fell, a crimson flame ignited on Sakaro, a certain power of healing and blessing granted to the devotees and priests of the King of Light, now burning, now enraged.

Sakaro’s red robe did not catch fire, but his hair was ignited by the crimson flame, a flame that brought him immense pain, yet he gritted his teeth and endured it in silence.

”See, this is the price of slandering the True God,” the Red-robed Monk beside him sneered.

Spurt,

Sakaro gritted his teeth, a dagger slipped from his wide robe, and he stepped forward, stabbing it into the chest of the mocking Red-robed Monk, hot blood spurting out with the dagger.

The hot blood of the Red-robed Monk spilled onto the crimson flame, causing the flames on Sakaro to surge, burning this pain-enduring heretic into kneeling on the ground, rolling over the ship.

Yet Sakaro did not yield. Inside the fiercely burning blood flame, he shouted, ”Supreme Dragon God, True God of Light and Flame, will devour the pseudo-god R’hllor, embedding R’hllor’s name among the long honorifics of the Dragon God.”

”He is the sun in the sky, the True God of Light. He is the true Sun Dragon God-La-.”

Sakaro’s belief and will, at this moment, became so firm, firm enough that this heretic sensed the source of Heart Energy within the Dragon God in the sky.

At this moment, Sakaro leapt from the crimson flame, kneeling on the ground, loudly praying, offering his soul and faith, thus receiving the spontaneous feedback from the source of Heart Energy.

Layers of warm halos covered down from Sakaro’s head, extinguishing all the crimson flames one by one. Thus he stood up, raised the dagger and said, ”I, Sakaro, am the first believer of the Dragon God in this world. You should revere me.”

In the heavens above, the Ancestral Red Dragon did not notice the tiny being in the distance; he was the source of Heart Energy. The feedback within him, if not scrutinized closely, could not affect him.

He was merely exerting all his strength against the increasingly heavy pressure. The stronger the power he used, the stronger the pressure exerted on him by the entire space became.

If this continued, it would not just be this space resisting, but the entire world would press down on his existence.

Although Karon’s current power was enough to excel most True Dragons, it could not singly resist a complete world.

Not to mention, within it, those Plane Deities in this world were secretly influencing.

These Deities, to drive away these outsiders, would even destroy entire civilizations, let the entire continent fall into a barren state of Magic Power, to secure their exclusive domInation over the world.

However, if their places were switched, perhaps Karon would act even more excessively than these Deities.

Yet, in Karon’s view, the double standards of Giant Dragons are a distinct advantage.

He could only seize the remaining time to increase the odds for Black Dragon Rosani and the loyal Legion of the Imperial Empire.

So he raised his head and roared, the magma on the earth and the Fire Dragon Pillars surged up again, his Elemental Incarnation body wantonly swelling, a destructive growth, a cost-ignoring surge.

One hundred fifty meters, two hundred meters, three hundred meters, endless flames absorbed by the Ancestral Red Dragon from the ground, swept along the hot stream upward to the sky, rows of fire pillars like celestial god pillars, supporting between heaven and earth.

Finally, Karon’s colossal body paused at four hundred meters, the maximum he could control. A moment beyond, his Elemental Incarnation body would immediately collapse, exploding within these skies.

The dark-gold pupils of Karon glowed, the iron and ash streaks representing earth and metal on his flame wings flowing with surging Magic Power.

”Earth reverse,”

He gazed down, whispered.

The land trembled, the sunken city filled by the surging earth, the raised ground cracked open.

”Turn mud into stone,”

Countless shaken loose earth, melted into liquid by flame, cooled and lost temperature, magma rapidly solidified at this moment, formed into smooth surfaces one by one.

”Condense earth to steel, kingdom rise!”

Rumble,

The entire Valerian City, under the influence of the dragon wantonly drawing world forces from the sky, rose from the broken island like floating above the sea.

Earth turned to stone, stones condensed into steel, formed into pillars lifting the entire Valerian City from the ground, slowly ascending.

One meter, five meters, ten meters, twenty meters,

The earth trembled, as did all beings.

The city lifted up by hundreds of thousands of steel stone pillars from surrounding inferno and purgatory, finally halted at twenty meters in low altitude.

This was also the limit of remaining power of the Ancestral Red Dragon.

Completing this moment, the Red Dragon in the sky could no longer withstand the heavy pressure of the world. The colossal Elemental Body rapidly dissipating held the final passage open, letting the Red Dragon’s head vanish from this world.

”Survive, raise our Royal Banner in this world, and I shall find you again!”

The voice of the Emperor resonated in everyone’s ears.

But they were not disheartened, for they had obtained the Emperor’s promise.

They cheered, celebrating the Emperor’s departure.

While Black Dragon Rosani watched from the high heavens, the treasure cast down by the Emperor.

It was a blood-stained scale, glowing with radiant Light of Spirit.

It was also the only, unique singularity on every Giant Dragon’s body, an irregular quirk among all scales – the Reverse Scale.

”Roar,”

Black Dragon Rosani soared, his claw brushing across his head, brutally tearing off the scale at his forehead, then pressing the Reverse Scale of the Ancestral Red Dragon to his forehead, between the Dragon Horns.

The radiant Light of Spirit also merged into the Black Dragon’s body at this moment.

Black Dragon Rosani circled the sky, extended his body, then descended on the city’s edge.

The scale on his forehead resonated with his innate Magic Power, earth and soil churning, lines soaring up, engulfing, replicating, manifesting the body of the Black Dragon.

Black Dragon Rosani, at this moment, fashioned his elemental real body with earth, endless soil absorbed by him, forming a giant Black Dragon statue, hind limbs on the ground, forelimbs lifting.

Enormous wings stretched, as if wanting to embrace the entire city in his arms.

Twenty meters, fifty meters, a hundred meters.

Growing day and night, ceaselessly, until the end of days, until the barrenness of Magic.
