Beneath the Red Dragon

The enormous Demon Dragon, over forty meters long, was within reach. Black Dragon Rosani extended his sharp claws. In an instant, the steel-like claws of Black Dragon effortlessly penetrated the chest sac of the Two-legged Demon Dragon.

The resilient skin and scales of the Two-legged Demon Dragon could not provide any defense, and a massive wound was directly torn open by Black Dragon Rosani.

”Roar,”

In the next moment, the Two-legged Demon Dragon, still climbing upwards, let out a painful roar, and its enormous, wide wings suddenly lost most of their power.

A huge amount of scalding dragon blood poured from the chest of the massive Two-legged Demon Dragon. Its huge body helplessly, chaotically flapped its wings as it plummeted from the sky, its piercing wails echoing throughout the sky.

Bang,

The enormous Demon Dragon crashed to the ground, producing a dull thud, with the scorching dragon blood corroding the earth, wilting the lush wild grass, and igniting sparks here and there.

Black Dragon Rosani gracefully descended from the sky, folding his wings, standing aside and watching the Two-legged Demon Dragon flipping and turning on the ground, howling painfully.

Even though it was already in a very weakened state, this beast continued to howl in pain, still trying to retaliate against the Black Dragon.

Black Dragon Rosani coldly turned his wings into sharp blades, swiftly gliding past and slicing off the massive head of the Demon Dragon, causing it to roll down.

Although there are techniques for the Sky Overlords within the True Dragon’s inheritance in Icaria World, with each Giant Dragon having its own unique set of skills,

when facing such seemingly powerful Two-legged Demon Dragons, Black Dragon Rosani didn’t even need to utilize any battle techniques. A slight manipulation of his body was enough to decimate the opponent.

In the eyes of True Dragons, the chest and abdomen of the Two-legged Demon Dragons are an unavoidable major flaw. Without forelimbs, they might still rely on claw hooks on their wings for offense and defense on the ground, but in the sky, this is a fatal weakness.

This is the reason why the True Dragon Species has always looked down upon these Two-legged Dragon Species, considering them as handicapped. Some races, like the Two-legged Flying Dragons in Icaria World, are not even regarded as dragons by the True Dragons, merely carrying the name of dragons.

Yet, even the Two-legged Flying Dragons in the Icaria World are wiser than these Demon Dragons.

”Not of the Dragon Species, just a beast. Only this enormous body bears semblance, but no matter how powerful a physical body is, in front of the perfect True Dragon, it is like a candlelight before the sun.”

Black Dragon Rosani stepped forward, frowning at the black, oil-like dragon blood.

Black Dragon carefully stepped over the areas tainted with dragon blood, approaching the demon dragon’s abdomen, then extended his dragon claws and easily sliced open the Demon Dragon’s abdomen, extracting the enormous heart.

The taste of the heart made Black Dragon Rosani squint his eyes, and the contained energy made him savor it unreservedly. After devouring the entire enormous heart, the Black Dragon leaped onto the Demon Dragon’s massive body, commencing his feast.

Though the Demon Dragon’s flesh had average taste for the Black Dragon, consuming this Demon Dragon’s body could offer benefits to Black Dragon Rosani.

Just like devouring metallic minerals strengthens the True Dragons’ scale armor, making the skin tougher, claws and teeth sharper, and bones more robust.

Devouring certain magic creatures and extraordinary species also allows True Dragons to experience growth and quicker awakening of their magic power and magical talents in some aspects.

Just as the True Dragon Race can absorb the advantages of prey through the act of consuming.

Although it pales in comparison to the World Eater talent of Ancestral Red Dragon Karon Gogomola, even a significantly diluted talent is sufficient for the True Dragon Race to continuously evolve towards perfection and power in their growth and development.

This is also why the Lord Giant Dragons far surpass the Wandering Wild Dragons.

Since Black Dragon Rosani devoured the heart of the Tree of Life and numerous Magic Items, this characteristic of his has undoubtedly been amplified.

After consecutively devouring several Two-legged Demon Dragons, not only did Black Dragon Rosani satisfy his dietary needs, but he also obtained some additional growth, some quite noticeable growth.

Black Dragon Rosani could even feel that after devouring these Two-legged Demon Dragons, his growth and development slightly accelerated, and his physique became stronger.

This prompted Black Dragon Rosani to open up his belly and consume as much food as possible.

Behind the Black Dragon, before that high hill, numerous enormous bones were laying, each enormous skeleton measuring no less than thirty meters long, all with severed heads, lying across the place.

This place is where Black Dragon descended into this world and the temporary resting and garrison point chosen by the Legion Warriors of the Empire. Some casters and scholars were conducting research beside the Demon Dragon’s bones and intact skull, many specially trained apprentices were brought along, observing and recording around the Demon Dragon’s skull.

The Pioneer Corps’ warriors set up a temporary camp within the dense forest of the high hill, hidden within the casters’ Magic Barrier, airtight, such that even the Demon Dragons in the sky searching for prey couldn’t detect the trail of the Pioneer Corps.

It wasn’t until Rosani finished his feast, having gnawed the enormous Demon Dragon full of holes, even chewing marks into the sturdy Dragon Bones to grind his teeth, that he stopped, returning to the camp.
