Beneath the Red Dragon

Karon’s majestic and robust body coils atop the crown of the Tree of Life, which appears almost as high as the clouds, his thirty-two-meter-wide wings adorned with mysterious flame patterns.

Beside these flame patterns lie rune veins representing earth and metal, illuminated quietly at this moment, making the Red Dragon’s wings resemble those of a divine being.

His fierce and mighty head surveys from above, with the Dragon Group flying around him, as if embodying divinity in the eyes of the elves kneeling on the ground.

Thus, the elves placed their hopes and expectations on the Red Dragon, and the swirling Dragon Group beneath him.

The elderly Elf Grand Elder Kaid shouted aloud: ”Praise the great Red Dragon, praise the great Dragon Group, to you we offer our highest adoration, supreme King of the World!”

All elves at that instant shifted from worries of destruction to fervent exaltation, shouting: ”Praise the great Red Dragon, praise the great Dragon Group, to you we offer unrivaled adoration and submission, supreme Dragon King, noble Dragon of the World!”

The elven voices shook the forest, shook the heavens, converging into a mountain-echoing tsunami. Even the surrounding forest reverberated with the song of praise; the Tree of Life swayed, shedding green life glow as if joining in the praise.

The number of gathered elves was in tens of thousands, far exceeding the dragons’ estimation. The elite warriors and druids of the remaining large Elf Tribe in Greenfield Forest were all mobilized, exceeding twenty thousand without counting other common elves.

Adding the numbers from the originally three huddled elf tribes, the rough estimate reached at least fifty thousand elves, even though many hung from the branches of the War Ancient Tree, they still covered the skies, hills, and fields, forming a human tide.

If the giant dragon didn’t stand high enough, they wouldn’t see the end.

These mobilized elves initially planned to probe the strength of the giant dragons; if the dragons could be countered, they would switch to a state of full-scale war.

But under the concentrated attack of the Dragon Group, such almost destructive power quickly changed them. The immense pit dozens of meters deep and a thousand meters long instantly buried thousands of elves.

Under such heavenly might, these elves transformed into generic and shallow believers of the giant dragons.

Tens of thousands of elves’ Power of Faith and Heart Energy momentarily connected and engulfed the Red Dragon and Dragon Group in the sky; this Power of Faith, though weak, was somewhat imperceptible.

Yet the elves’ numbers were overwhelmingly abundant, far surpassing the population of Dragon Group Territory.

And these elves were the elite of this world; the shallow faith they brought, although weak, was considerable in aggregate.

Each giant dragon in the Dragon Group was ecstatic, feeling strands of unfamiliar power like trickling water flowing into their bodies.

One by one, they soared through the sky, emitting clear and resonant dragon calls.

Although this power was weak, each dragon only received a small portion, while this power was unfamiliar, never seen by any dragon.

Yet the dragon legacy told them this was the power of faith, only reachable by touching the Divine Domain.

Although the Power of Faith was already common knowledge among Divine Spirits and Divine Favored, it remained supreme below the Divine Domain.

In the legacy history of these dragons, never had a dragon ascended to divinity through the Power of Faith. Even the Dragon God’s godhood was born, and then godhood.

The reasons for this are varied, but the primary reason is that no one wants the dragon race as a deity. Even monsters with dragons as their masters only regard them as lords.

This can be seen from the behavior of dragons ruling the world in the past.

In endless ages past, dragons ruled all, sky, earth, and sea, yet not one dragon ascended to divine position because of this.

Because during the dragon-dominated era, the rise and fall of world races depended solely on the dragons’ whims.

If dragons liked you, your race would decline; if dragons disliked you, your race would face extinction.

Now, the elves, due to the power of dragons, produce worship and admiration, but if the Dragon Group acts like ancient dragons did, these elves would quickly shift, becoming forces resisting draconic rule.

This was the flaw of the dragon era, chaos mixed sparingly with order, order existed, but not in abundance.

Yet, even though the Power of Faith was scarce, it greatly benefited the dragons in the Dragon Group. They could gain many advantages by touching this power.

Primarily, they would gradually realize the benefits and advantages of order, with the Power of Faith merely being one among them.

And perched atop the Tree of Life, Karon received the greatest impact, with abundant Heart Energy and comparatively vast Power of Faith descending into his body.

The Heart Energy Vortex originally expanding now resembled a spinning galaxy, emanating mysterious glows, floating in Karon’s Sea of Spiritual.

And mixed with the elves’ prayers and blessing praises, the Power of Faith was repelled by Karon’s pure supreme authority-representing will of Heart Energy.
