Beneath the Red Dragon

Thump, thump, thump, the sound of heavy axes striking the trees echoing continuously, Barbarian Jib led his Barbarian Warriors and a group of Jackal Wolfman Warriors who had shed their heavy armor to fell the forest.

Around these warriors responsible for chopping down trees, there were two warriors each for protection, while Dogman Guards patrolled back and forth between the trees just in case.

During this time, after replenishing their forces, the warriors under Karon’s command had become plentiful again.

Chasing the fleeing Elf Tribe all the way, they were getting closer and closer to the migrating elves.

Thump, a Jackal Wolfman Warrior swung and chopped down with his axe, but suddenly a crisis arose!

The axe of the Jackal Wolfman Warrior was blocked by a branch from an ancient tree which suddenly came to life, a ferocious face appeared on its trunk, and other branches like long spears instantly pierced through the body of the lumbering Jackal Wolfman Warrior.

The body of the Jackal Wolfman Warrior was pierced with several large holes, yet he suddenly went mad, his crimson pupils bursting with bright light, he lifted the heavy axe high, and broke the branches that pierced his body.

He loudly shouted, ”Though flesh dies, the soul returns to the Holy Hall,”

Whoosh, the body bursting with blood, the Jackal Wolfman Warrior used his last bit of strength, raised the heavy axe high and leapt up, splitting the living ancient tree in two with one strike.

Around them, more than a dozen ancient trees simultaneously came to life at this moment, twisting their branches and slapping down at these warriors, but each Jackal Wolfman Warrior seemed to have forgotten their flesh had long shed its iron armor, being mere flesh.

Each one lunged forward, roaring the slogan ”Though flesh dies, the soul returns to the Holy Hall,” without retreating, in this instant, they crushed the dozen or so War Tree-men to pieces.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, only then dozens of arrows rained down on these warriors, but the prepared protection warriors cut them apart, and in this instant, the sharp whistle of the Dogman Warriors had already echoed through the jungle.

But before the follow-up reinforcements arrived, those Jackal Wolfman Warriors who were lumbering had already wielded their heavy axes, chasing swiftly after the disappearing figures in the forest.

Barbarian Leader Jib was stunned, the suppression of the forest’s will was terrifying, he had tried it when he first arrived, but these Jackal Wolfman Warriors unhesitatingly entered the forest.

”Damn, you Jackal Wolfmen might as well rename yourselves Barbarian Berserkers,” Jib’s entire body suddenly activated its totems, he wielded the heavy axe in his hand and charged into the forest, roaring, ”Follow me, today I’m gonna slaughter those hiding bastards clean.”

Boom, the sky stirred with wild wind, two dragon shadows soared rapidly from afar, Red Dragon Kleyna and Black Dragon Rosani flew swiftly, below them surged the torrent of warriors.

”Everyone, I love war,” Red Dragon Kleyna roared, diving toward the forest.

In mere moments, they traversed the dozens of miles with the powerful warriors and Giant Dragons.

The dozens of Jackal Wolfman Warriors suffered heavy casualties, though this Elf Tribe was just a small tribe with a few hundred elves, the presence of the Tree of Life and the War Ancient Tree allowed them to exhibit multiplied combat power.

Yet these Jackal Wolfman Warriors were surrounded by the radiance of the Blood-colored Sanctuary, a light of loyal and brave souls, granting them blessings and courage.

Allowing them to stand strong amidst surrounding assaults even when severely injured.

Barbarian Leader Jib was indeed a formidable Totem Berserker, his whole body’s totems had now come alive, granting him strength like a bear, speed like an eagle, flexibility like a snake, protection like a turtle, transforming into apparitions circling around him.

With a single strike of the heavy axe, he could cut down a War Tree-man. Jib led the Barbarian Warriors charging into the Elf Tribe, heading to converge with the besieged Jackal Wolfman Warriors.

”Die for me!” Jib’s muscles surged, he roared, his giant axe in hand swinging with intense brilliance, slicing several obstructing Elf Warriors in half at the waist.

Meanwhile, Kleyna and Black Dragon Rosani arrived with reinforcements.

Rumble, intense deep breaths resonated from Red Dragon Kleyna, a fan-shaped Dragon Fire spewed from the mouth of this female dragon, turning dozens of Elf Warriors on the ground into charred remains.

”I am death,” Black Dragon Rosani’s low Dragon Language spread, his magic power stirred the sky’s magic, corroding the ground under many elves into an acidic marsh, one by one the elves screamed and sank, soon being swallowed by the marsh.

Whoosh, within this Elf Tribe, a War Ancient Tree launched an attack on the airborne Black Dragon, its thick trunk like an elongated spear stabbing at the Black Dragon.

Black Dragon Rosani agilely rolled in the air, dodging the War Ancient Tree’s stab, in the instant of dodging, sharp Dragon Claws severed the branches of the War Ancient Tree one by one, then the dragon’s four sharp claws tore open the tree’s tough bark, deeply gripping into the body of the tree.

Roar, the War Ancient Tree let out a fierce roar and wail, this towering ancient tree was corroded by Black Dragon Rosani’s venom, the outer tough bark torn apart, then bitten and broken alive by the Black Dragon.

This small Elf Tribe suffered a devastating blow in an instant, Elf Warriors were decapitated one by one by the arriving Jackal Wolfman Warriors, hung at their waists.

The Elf Elder and some Elf Druids who held real power were fortunate to survive, but they were also taken by the Jackal Wolfman Warriors, to be offered as tribute to the souls of the Blood-colored Sanctuary, their flesh and bones would also adorn the towering White Bone Throne.
