Beneath the Red Dragon

Karon lay on the trunk of the World Tree. Although the World Tree had been dead for countless years, its remnants still contained traces of the once vast flow of life energy.

Karon, more than those mages focused on exploration, seemed like an explorer himself. No matter what it was, he was filled with curiosity and a desire to explore all unknowns, possibly because as a Giant Dragon, he was brimming with endless energy.

This was also the reason why Karon mastered the knowledge of magic and other skills so quickly over the years.

The first element of success often wasn’t wisdom or inspiration, but rather how much energy you’ve invested.

Green Dragon Antajena lay idly beside him, her small and delicate head appeared more beautiful compared to the nearby Red Dragon, always watching the exploring mages and the tall Imperial Guard warriors.

The vast ruins before them were likely a group of mage towers that had fallen from the sky, shattered under some force, forming a stone wasteland stretching over dozens of miles.

Occasionally, half-buried intact mage towers under the stones would cause the mages to shout with excitement. The main force for clearing the ruins were those Imperial Guard warriors.

Due to their loyalty to the Red Dragon, the heart energy they provided was reciprocated after evolving the Red Dragon’s heart energy. This miraculous power coordinated the warriors’ physical functions, gradually unlocking their bodily potential.

The more loyal and trusting a warrior was to the Red Dragon, the greater their enhancements. But regardless, each Imperial Guard warrior could effortlessly flip over three or four tons of stone with one hand.

Moreover, every Imperial Guard warrior preferred to wield the Moba Heavy Blades crafted by Dwarf Craftsman Clagon at Karon’s behest.

This powerful cold weapon perfectly showcased the advantages and abilities of the Imperial Guard warriors, and paired with airtight heavy armor, they were the elite warriors enough to dominate all kingdoms in the world.

Such conditions to forge such a legion could only exist among the Beloved of the Giant Dragons, as there were too many monsters among them, especially since their physical traits were far superior to those of human warriors.

Under the influence of the Giant Dragons, even the new generation Kobold warriors were not weaker than ordinary human soldiers.

Sometimes Karon even felt that placing such powerful warriors by the side of the Giant Dragons was a mistake, a great waste.

Green Dragon Antajena and other Giant Dragons coveted such Beloved like the Imperial Guard warriors, but under the rules and systems established by Bronze Dragon Alina, the Imperial Guard warriors needed only to obey the commands of Karon, a single dragon.

Even those Dragon Descendants, born under the influence of multiple Giant Dragons and serving as captains of the Imperial Guard warriors, would not side with the Giant Dragon sharing the same colored scales.

Each Dragon in the Dragon Group had the right to recruit Beloved and establish their own Personal Guard. But after seeing the Imperial Guard warriors, these Dragons had high standards, needing not only great power but also strict discipline to gain their favor.

Under Karon’s influence and personal experience, the Dragon Group began to respect strength and advocate wisdom, while also starting to favor order.

The benefits of order are beyond words, while chaos is of no use.

Of course, this order was beneath the Dragon Group. For the Giant Dragons, the order they desired was the true order.

Whew, whew,

The sound of strong wings flapping the gale came from the distant sky. Green Dragon Antajena glanced over and even this thick-skinned Giant Dragon awkwardly turned away, pretending not to see.

The Green Dragon received a fierce scolding from Karon. In Karon’s view, it was still necessary. Giant Dragons, like humans, had minds that weren’t firm, with thoughts easy to change, thus needed occasional tightening of their skin.

To prevent encounters with situations Karon wouldn’t wish to face in the future; after so many years together and experiences, the Dragon Group had already formed concepts of comrades and family among themselves, so had Karon.

Karon opened his narrowed eyes. His crimson pupils were gradually infused with his newfound power, radiating a peculiar brilliance. The light flowing in his pupils seemed to inadvertently glimpse into the minds and spirits of others.

This was a characteristic of his power that he had yet to fully control. The recent test of mental will greatly boosted his mental power, causing him to unconsciously leak his power.

Whew,

The Giant Dragons folded their wings and landed on the massive remnants of the World Tree. All Dragons in the Dragon Group had arrived, including Bronze Dragon Alina, a Bronze Dragon who didn’t particularly enjoy slaughter or invasion but still followed the Dragon Group here.

”Oh, you all came, though territories still need dragons to guard,” Karon lazily stood up and greeted the hastily arriving Dragon Group.

Seeing Karon lively and jumpy, the anxious expressions on these Dragons’ faces vanished, and they all lazily lay down. They didn’t blame Black Dragon Rosani for the reckless actions, after all, Black Dragon’s choice was the best decision at the time.

Only Female Red Dragon Kleyna, who had grown to twelve meters long, walked over, forcefully squeezed out Green Dragon Antajena, and then lay down beside Karon.
