Beneath the Red Dragon

On one hand, because the Tree of Life cannot produce such extraordinary fruits until it grows to a certain extent, and even if it does, they will be immediately collected by the elves guarding the Tree of Life.

On the other hand, it is also because the giant dragons and other creatures have always found it difficult to peek into the elf communities that possess such Trees of Life.

The giant dragons have a Dragon God, other races also have racial deities, and the Elf Race is not a weak race either, they have their own Elf Pantheon.

Compared to the Dragon Pantheon, which is never harmonious and often scheming against each other, the Elf Pantheon is stronger and more united.

Therefore, these legendary treasures have almost been forgotten by people, only regarded as absurd stories told by mortals.

Just because of this, Karon has decided to spare this Tree of Life; giant dragons can afford to wait for several years. Once the Life Fruit is harvested, it will become a foundation of the Dragon Group Territory.

Yet the surprises from the Tree of Life continue, it said: ”The new branches I grow each year are infused with abundant natural aura, and can be used to create Magic Staffs that enhance Shaman Magic Divine Skill and Life and Nature Magic. Perhaps this will be very useful for your casters!”

”This is good,” Karon nodded; with such accumulation over the years, he might eventually have a Caster Corps, each holding a Magic Staff made from the branches of the Tree of Life. Such a Caster Corps would be terrifying and luxurious, just by their equipment.

Moreover, this could attract some Druids and related mages to the territory; the allure of such high-level magic equipment is strong enough to become one of the future selling points of the Dragon Group Territory.

”Additionally, giant dragon, I will cooperate fully with you in the future to provide blessings and enhancements for your movement through the forest, and your warriors can pass through unhindered within my influence. I will also actively persuade other Trees of Life not to resist your will!”

The Tree of Life, in a muffled voice, has decided to be a guide for the sake of its own survival.

Karon finally showed a satisfied smile; he patted the trunk of the Tree of Life and laughed: ”Very good, your wisdom and obedience have earned you a future. I hope future Trees of Life will take you as their example!”

”Thank you for your generosity, Sir Giant Dragon,” the consciousness of the Tree of Life finally became joyful, and its tone lightened.

”So, have you borne any Life Fruits over these years,” Karon’s greedy gaze showed, future benefits are for the future, current benefits are for now; Karon never leaves empty-handed!

”No, these elves only need the Spring of Life, which is enough for them. They are not enough for me to expend my growth time to condense Life Fruits,” the Tree of Life replied, still in a muffled voice.

Then it turned and said: ”However, if you need it, Sir Giant Dragon, it is available now.”

The Tree of Life’s body began to tremble, countless life energies converged from its trunk, finally condensing in the depths of its somewhat bald crown, where a glowing fruit of green light emerged among the branches and leaves.

This fruit is full and fragrant, emitting a slight scent similar to grass after rain, and just a whiff carried by the wind made these battle-hardened warriors and mages feel a refreshment in spirit.

That signifies life!

Exhaling, Karon stretched his wings and flew to the crown to swallow the Life Fruit into his storage stomach, looking back to see that the night had already begun to fall.

Those warriors under the giant dragons had already started to orderly clear the battlefield and set up camp.

Through the baptism of blood, these warriors have begun to gather a certain legion will, becoming worlds apart from ordinary Monster Corps.

They will become the most solid foundation within the Giant Dragon Territory and the most powerful combat group of the dragon’s future kingdom.

Karon smiled, showing his fangs, and other giant dragons followed him, flapping their wings towards the blood-colored sanctuary in the sky, where the souls had already rested, and the giant dragons would rest as well.

The camp gradually quieted down; this is their first base, but not the last one!
