Beneath the Red Dragon

Bang,

Amidst the wild laughter of the Red Dragon, the life of this large tribe, which was formed by the alliance of the two most flourishing Elf Tribes in this realm, came to an end.

The last War Ancient Tree was cleaved from top to bottom by the heavy blade of Dragon Descendant Werewolf Saha, who was clad in heavy armor, revealing two Dragon Wings, and draped in a Blood-colored Cloak, precisely exposing the heart of the War Tree-man.

The face on this War Ancient Tree suddenly vanished, and its massive body hit the ground.

All the Imperial Guard Warriors also raised their heavy blades high, loudly proclaiming, ”With the blood of the enemies, we offer a sacrifice to the Holy Hall, with the bones of the enemies, we offer a sacrifice to the throne!”

The other warriors joined in the chanting, raising their blood-stained weapons to honor their King and the Holy Sanctuary that surrounded him.

”Offer sacrifice to the Holy Hall, victory to our lord! Victory!”

These War Ancient Trees are renowned in this world for their formidable power, nearly unmatched, and unlike the Tree of Life which cannot move freely, they have virtually no natural enemies.

The claws of even fierce beasts or savage beasts are almost useless against these War Ancient Trees, and the strong might of the War Ancient Trees can easily crush those beasts and enemies with their trunks. Only a few exceedingly robust Extraordinary Magical Beasts can pose a threat to the War Ancient Trees.

These War Ancient Trees are also the strongest and most effective war weapons of the Elf Tribes to dominate the entire realm in this world.

Yet, in front of a group of Imperial Guard Warriors wielding heavy blades made of metal, the enormous size of these War Tree-men became a burden, and under the leadership of Dragon Descendant Werewolf Saha, they were slain one by one.

Between the two Elf Tribes, about thirty or more War Tree-men remained, with nearly more than half being encircled and killed by the Imperial Guard Warriors.

Although these War Ancient Trees were weakened by poisons concocted by Mages, the combat effectiveness of these Imperial Guard Warriors was evident.

Under the training of Wolfman Saha, these Imperial Guard Warriors showed remarkable discipline, releasing residual energy after slaying the War Tree-men, then dragging these bodies of War Ancient Trees together, arranging them neatly, awaiting the receipt by Giant Dragons.

These War Tree-men are considered one of the magical creatures, even as corpses, they have many uses, equivalent to war trophies.

However, the Imperial Guard Warriors did not covet them, unlike a certain Black Dragon who was addicted to gnawing on trees and was currently circling around the severely damaged Tree of Life, with one-third of its crown blown off, baring its fangs eagerly.

Apparently, this Black Dragon gained some benefits from the Tree of Life when conquering other smaller tribes. During the time Black Dragon Rosani spent in Greenfield Forest, his skeletal and emaciated frame was gradually filling out, akin to dried flesh receiving a significant supplement of Life Energy.

This massive life energy even altered the Black Dragon’s original path of bodily growth and evolution, directing the Black Dragon towards a different direction.

However, the Giant Dragons in the Dragon Group did not pay much attention to this change. Every Giant Dragon benefits from variations, and change occurred perhaps because Black Dragon Rosani inherently possessed an adherence to certain traits.

This mutation is considered a normal change in the eyes of Giant Dragons. Unlike the Dwarves who enjoy forging and are extremely susceptible to environmental impacts, resulting in new subspecies, the Dragon Blood allows them to evolve in their desired direction.

It is clear that Black Dragon Rosani was influenced by a certain Giant Dragon, also yearning to transform into a mighty dragon brimming with muscles, hence the emergence of such changes.

Next came the time to collect the war trophies. The Elves who surrendered were released by the Red Dragon. He came to this world to explore the Ancient Mages’ legacy and gather this world’s resources, not to exterminate the world’s life.

So he intended to use the campaign to eliminate the two large Elf Tribes as a deterrent to other Elf Tribes and to isolate the remaining three Elf Tribes involved in attacking the camp.

As long as the main culprits are slain, and the rest of the Elf Tribes are subdued, there would be no need to endure war and extinction.

Karon, upon the request of Dragon Descendant Werewolf Saha, approached the bodies of the War Tree-men, accompanied by the Squinting Mage, who also contributed in this battle, so they had a share in the trophies.

”Tsk tsk, what a pity. Although the life essence of these War Tree-men is substantial, they have not surpassed Tier Fifteen to enter the Holy Sanctuary. If they reached the Saint Tier, the hearts of these War Tree-men, combined with some magic potions, could be used to concoct longevity-extending magic potions.”

The Squinting Mage showed a regretful expression, glaring at the Red Dragon, obviously regretting that the strongest War Tree-man was reduced to ashes by the Dragon Breath of the Red Dragon.

Karon didn’t comment on this, as in the fierce battle, he couldn’t hold back for personal gain, which would only endanger his capable warriors.

Only the Blue Dragon Doss, who followed along, replied to the Squinting Mage, ”Since they hold no value, Mages ought not to want the remains of this batch of War Tree-men.”

Being the manager of the Dragon Group Territory, Blue Dragon Doss no longer operated purely driven by the inherent greed of Giant Dragons but habitually allocated all the valuable items into the collective pot of Dragon Group Territory.

Giant Dragons inherently possess the knowledge of utilizing the bodies of War Tree-men, and as long as a Giant Dragon is willing to learn, each can become a learned scholar.
