Beneath the Red Dragon

”Of course, humans aren’t omnipotent, just as dragons aren’t, but we can do our best to avoid making such mistakes. Rosani, until it’s certain that the young Red Dragon called Kaidelos can break this magic, we must not let our guard down.”

Karon didn’t disclose his plans to these young dragons.

Even for these Five-Color Dragons, treating a Giant Dragon as a Dragon Descendant to create machines and extract Evil Dragon True Blood was too evil and brutal.

But some things, once he decided to do, didn’t require others’ opinions, and once he completed them, the Dragon Group naturally became his accomplices and would naturally accept it.

Black Dragon Rosani nodded honestly. After going through hardships together, these Giant Dragons’ trust in Karon had reached a high degree, and facts proved that Karon’s wisdom, standing on the shoulders of his predecessors, was correct.

Female Red Dragon Kleyna snorted, ”We dragons don’t differentiate between male and female; we only look at ability. Karon, don’t underestimate female dragons; our abilities are no less than male dragons.”

Little Female Dragon Kleyna was not only stubborn but also hard-headed, occasionally liking to retort against Karon’s words, maintaining the elder sister status she believed in her heart.

Karon ignored her, as Kleyna’s awkward personality had been like this since childhood.

He simply used his stout Dragon Claw to shake the pear tree beside him, caught a few of the fallen fruits with his large mouth, and tasted the sweetness of the fruit as he smacked his lips.

Karon liked fruit but didn’t like those that needed peeling.

Though with a Giant Dragon’s appetite, eating the fruit skins too was no big deal, the taste was not pleasant.

Now, every time Karon ate, it was arranged according to the nutrients needed for Karon’s growth and development, as analyzed by the Sub-brain group.

In the analysis of the Sub-brain group, Karon, by eating two hundred White-horned Wild Oxen from the prairie, could enhance some of his body’s toughness.

If paired with some fish, the nutrients like calcium, phosphorus, and iron in the fish meat were more suitable for the rapidly developing body of the Red Dragon.

Supplementing with trace elements from some fruits was also needed by the Red Dragon, so now Karon ate pounds of fruit every day to ensure balanced nutrition for his rapidly developing body, avoiding defects and deficiencies in certain areas.

”Karon,” Red Copper Dragon Alfred crawled up like a giant lizard, squeezing in,

”The first batch of printed books has been set into editions and started selling, but the sales number in the Golden City has not risen, with only some minstrel travelers and curious merchants buying.”

”As for the sales in other places, I estimate it won’t be much either, after all, we’re just getting started and haven’t had the time to develop,”

Red Copper Dragon Alfred had a worried expression, feeling perhaps it was his lack of ability and not doing well enough.

Karon nodded, finding it normal. The territory had just settled into a groove, and everyone was busy earning a living, with little energy left for cultural entertainment.

Even for cultural entertainment, they preferred to chat over drinks with those soft and delightful ladies.

”Don’t worry, Alfred, everything we’re doing now is just laying the foundation for the future,” the Red Dragon’s calm expression and words provided some solace to the eager-to-achieve Red Copper Dragon.

”All these require time to yield the results we want. Don’t rush, Alfred, stick to our goals steadily, and time will always be on our side.”

Karon lazily extended his wings, patting the Red Copper Dragon’s shoulder in comfort.

The encouraged Red Copper Dragon Alfred quietly withdrew, opening his mouth and swallowing dozens of oranges peeled by two Pick Elves in one gulp, revealing a satisfied expression.

Blue Dragon Doss squeezed in with a blue Dragon Horn full of scratches from his own claws, looking troubled.

He said, ”Karon, the three hundred full-body armors to be delivered to the Jackal Wolfmen have been delayed, and only about a hundred armors are complete. Jackal Wolfman Yougu has already come to me, but there’s nothing I can do; I don’t forge armor.”

The Red Dragon’s brow furrowed slightly, the three hundred fighters of Jackal Wolfman Yougu had long been selected, along with six hundred Dogman Soldiers chosen as auxiliary guards, but the armor had been delayed for so long without being fully delivered.

”I know crafting armor is slow, but didn’t I share some small methods for assembly-line production with Dwarf Clagon? Why haven’t the armors been completed yet?”

Karon’s tone had a hint of dissatisfaction; to him, such a small matter should be resolved swiftly.

Blue Dragon Doss shook his head, saying, ”I called on Dwarf Craftsman Clagon, and he said that, well, although the small methods for assembly-line production are convenient, without standardized specifications, the less experienced apprentice blacksmiths of various races can’t precisely craft armors that fit together well,”

”Many pieces are either too large or too small, too wide or too thick, and he’s at a loss. These craftsmen all require long-term practice and training, and Dwarf Clagon has already written to his people, hoping to bring in a few Dwarves to help.”

Blue Dragon’s tone was also somewhat helpless; if, like other Giant Dragons, they simply formed a family and lived a primitive life, it might be simpler.
