Beneath the Red Dragon

This is also what sets White Dragon Gomot apart from other Giant Dragons; he introduces the identity of a ruler more rationally, rather than purely relying on the instinctive preferences of a Giant Dragon to act.

This is also the reason why Karon did not release other Giant Dragons earlier, like Bronze Dragon Alina who expanded the cities and developed the territories.

In Karon’s view, the Five-Color Dragons who have not experienced enough training and transformation are only suited for causing big events, not for managing big tasks. Many Five-Color Dragons are inconsistent, only paying attention to one thing at a time, neglecting others. It’s hard to tell whether they are developing a territory or creating chaos in it.

And White Dragon Gomot has gradually emerged from among the many juvenile Giant Dragons. Even the relatively steady Blue Dragon Doss can’t compare to White Dragon now—a dragon that knows how to learn knowledge and how to summarize history.

”I choose the second path,” Blue Dragon Carlette made her decision. She had no other choice; not being executed immediately was already the best outcome for her as a traitor.

”Very good,” White Dragon Gomot imitated the Red Dragon’s style and nodded. He turned to the Dragon Group and asked, ”Everyone, my brothers, what do you think of my approach? Can we reach a unanimous agreement?”

”I have no objection,” Blue Dragon Akzhi was the first to raise his claw. He suddenly noticed Carlette’s beauty and felt there might still be some saving for Blue Dragon Carlette.

”I have no objection either,” White Dragon Camid lazily lifted his long tail. This White Dragon would unconditionally support Karon and Gomot’s ideas and was indifferent to other matters. He had even been sleeping, not opening his eyes earlier.

Because Camid heard from Karon that during the juvenile years, it’s most important to grow physically—to eat more, sleep more, and it’s best to avoid looking at female dragons!

”I have no objection either,” the Green Dragon raised the Pik Little Elf, and Kleyna also expressed approval of White Dragon’s approach.

Blue Dragon Doss saw that all his companions agreed, so he too raised his dragon claw, approving White Dragon’s proposal.

Red Copper Dragon Alfred hesitated before quietly saying, ”Then I agree too?”

White Dragon Gomot achieved a satisfying result. He turned back to the young Countess and Mage who had been quietly waiting and said softly, ”Your attitude has earned the friendship of the Dragon Group. Allow me to express our gratitude on behalf of the Dragon Group. Now, it’s time to discuss the matters between you and the Dragon Group!”

Karon’s massive figure stood atop the mountain, calmly overseeing the pioneering troops lining up below. His body was like a mountain on a mountain, shining with radiant brilliance under the sunlight, enveloped as if by a divine halo.

Resonant wild songs rose from the crowd below, clear even to the Red Dragon on the mountain.

Bronze Dragon Alina unfolded her wings beneath, leading everyone to raise their wooden bowls high and sing loudly.

Sing to the delight, descendants of the Giant Dragon;

Sing of the First World coming into being;

Created from chaos, colored with beauty.

Sing of the Platinum Dragon God Bahamut,

Who sculpted majestic forms for mountains and seas.

Sing of the multicolored Dragon God Tiamat,

Who painted diverse scenes for the boundless world.

They awakened together from the darkness,

And together toiled to create the world.

Sing to the delight, descendants of the Giant Dragon;

Sing of Sadivo born to the world,

Dragon Gods crafted his image

From Red Jade, according to their own likeness.

The firstborn Dragon and the two Dragon Gods,

Set the form for the Giant Dragon Race,

The Metal Dragon and the Color Dragon.

Sing to the delight, descendants of the Giant Dragon!

For the gift was bestowed at the dawn of creation,

Infusing you with the power of life.

Sing to the delight, descendants of the Giant Dragon,

Sing of the arrival of newcomers,

Gods ignited raging war,

The offspring of mortals numbered vast.

They arrived in the First World,

Seeking homes for many followers.

With mighty magic and numerous armies,

The invading gods ultimately triumphed,

Noble Bahamut was struck down,

While Sadivo hid in the heart of the world.

Sing to the delight, descendants of the Giant Dragon;

Sing of Tiamat’s present visage,

Burning with rage for a victory out of reach.

She would never flee or surrender,

She would battle until death’s cold claw fell.

Yet the gods who sparked warfare imprisoned her,

She would not face death,

Only pain would bury her,

She would never see the light of day,

Chained by the pretender gods who stole creation.

Sing to the delight, descendants of the Giant Dragon;

Sing of the newcomers’ taming of the world,

Their people flourished in the new world,

Like seeds sprouting and growing on the earth.

Elegant Elves dwell among the vast forests,

Stubborn Dwarves dig through the towering mountains,

Rough Beastmen occupy the valley caves,

Sly goblins share the barren outskirts,

Half-bodied Little People cultivate green fields,

Lizard Race hides deep in the swamp,

While humans stroll everywhere across the lands.

Sing to the delight, descendants of the Giant Dragon;

Sing of Bahamut forging peace,

He was invited to a paradise between the mountains,

Venerated by the Platinum Paladins as the Holy King.

Sing of his journey of exploration,

To understand the newcomer gods and their offspring,

He longed for Tiamat to return to freedom,

Mourning her absence from the halls of the world.

Sing to the delight, descendants of the Giant Dragon;

Sing of Tiamat’s breaking of chains and return to freedom.

Speak of her gathering many children, commanding Color Dragons to sow chaos.

Sing of her vengeful fury,

Lightning, venom, frost flame, strong acid corroding bones.

Now the Dragon God bears five heads,

Fearsome in form, supreme in power,

She stirred cataclysm across the world,

Bringing destruction, unstoppable by anyone.

Sing to the delight, descendants of the Giant Dragon;

Sing of the past First World,

Fragmented into boundless reality.

Sing of Bahamut and Tiamat,

Mourning their toil as creations were lost overnight.

Also sing of Sadivo,

Divine consciousness scattered into countless minute forms.

Sing to the delight, descendants of the Giant Dragon;

You shall inherit the great enterprise of the Dragon Gods,

Ruling the ancient First World—even though it is now a shattered past!
