Beneath the Red Dragon

Chapter 153: Chapter 66: Alina the Giant Dragon Supremacist (Part 4)

The Bronze Dragon looked at the Red Dragon and exhaled, saying, ”But I believe that only those who come to this land as Free People and voluntarily settle should have these favorable conditions, while those who have been sold as slaves should be regarded as serfs, under the jurisdiction of the Dragon Group, farming and cultivating for them.”

”It’s very difficult to provide enough food in a short time relying solely on the beloved of the Giant Dragon; if conditions are too favorable, those people won’t cherish them. A certain class should be established, letting these serfs labor for three years before they can gain the identity of Free People, with all the rights that Free People enjoy.”

”Moreover, it’s not just these serfs that need class division. All members within the territory need to be divided into fixed classes, with only outstanding performers receiving rewards and opportunities to ascend to higher classes.”

”The Giant Dragon stands as the supreme ruler, never to be surpassed, with the other classes divided beneath it.”

Karon was somewhat surprised as he looked at Bronze Dragon Alina. Despite being a kind Bronze Dragon, she didn’t show her benevolence when considering ruling classes and still adhered to the supreme ideology of the Giant Dragon. However, a caste-like class division was not what he wanted.

Karon interrupted Bronze Dragon Alina’s speech, solemnly stating, ”Alina, I appreciate and agree with many of your ideas, but under the Giant Dragon, everyone of every race will have equality of character, and the division of social status will replace that of racial class. That is enough,”

”What I need is a kingdom under the rule of the Giant Dragon, full of vitality, where all races coexist, not a stagnant pool with only the will of the Giant Dragon as the puppet state.”

Bronze Dragon Alina’s expression froze. She thought perhaps she had failed again, and to cater to the Red Dragon’s preferences, she had resolutely changed some of her own propositions.

A strong sense of defeat arose in Bronze Dragon Alina’s heart, and she was somewhat afraid of the verdict Red Dragon might deliver.

”However, in many aspects your suggestions align well with the will of the Dragon Group. I can give you an opportunity to become responsible for the newly reclaimed lands, development of new cities within the Dragon Group Territory. You have great potential, Alina. I look forward to your growth.”

The Red Dragon expressed affirmation and then extended its dragon claw towards the seemingly bewildered Bronze Dragon Alina.

Bronze Dragon Alina suddenly came to her senses. She had not failed but received the Red Dragon’s affirmation. A delight, akin to finding treasure, surged through her heart.

She joyfully bowed her head, grasped the Red Dragon’s sturdy dragon claw, and kissed it, ”Thank you for your trust, noble Master of the Dragon Clans, King who commands the earth and flames, Sovereign of the Metallic Strength.”

”Go ahead, my trust in you will be just like that in every Giant Dragon within the Dragon Group. Alina, repay the Dragon Group’s trust in you with your performance.” The Red Dragon retracted its claw, spread its vast wings, and flew to the highest peak among the mountains.

The other Giant Dragons also nodded amicably to the two young Giant Dragons before flapping their wings and flying back to their nests atop the mountains. Soon, only the figures of Alfred and Alina were left here.

”Let’s go, Alfred,” Bronze Dragon Alina descended the mountaintop, looked back at the Dragon Nest among the mountains, then turned to Red Copper Dragon Alfred and said, ”Alfred, I understand your intentions. If you wish to become my mate, it should be when you establish your nest atop the peak of the mountains.”

Red Copper Dragon Alfred nodded somewhat confusedly, then suddenly exclaimed, ”Oh no, Alina, Karon hasn’t told us where we should stay tonight!”
