Beneath the Red Dragon

In that case, perhaps the Legendary Warrior can face off directly against the Giant Dragons. And this Saint Tier Warrior has seen those magical records crystals circulated by the Mages back in the day, and the power displayed by the Red Dragon in the images was clearly not its full strength. And after so long, who knows how much this Red Dragon has grown.

If they accept this mission, it means the team will inevitably confront the Dragon Group head-on. According to their past tactics, they will definitely need him to serve as the team’s Shield, temporarily withstanding the Red Dragon’s attack. Then, other members will gradually cut off the Red Dragon’s claws and the Dragon Group before finally converging to take down the Red Dragon.

The problem is, this Saint Tier Warrior himself is not confident he can withstand the Red Dragon’s attack, and to face off directly with a Red Dragon, even a Warrior with muscles for brains wouldn’t do such a thing.

Moreover, this Red Dragon is also the Lord Dragon with numerous beloveds. At that point, just those beloveds could spell doom for the entire team.

The leader of the team, the blonde Mage also spreads his hands, helplessly saying, ”Do you think this bounty hanging for so long is because no one dared to take it? Bill, are you dazzled by those damsels’ snow-white bosoms?”

”Boss, do we decide to finish this last job and then call it quits?” Bill’s carefree smile makes all the team members couldn’t resist giving him a punch.

”This bounty amount is so large that, well, how to put it, the deposit for each person is twenty thousand Gold Coins,” Bill raises the parchment in his hand, blinking at everyone.

”Anyway, we’ve decided to stop, why not take this money? We can stroll in the Giant Dragon’s territory, give it a shot if the opportunity arises, or go home and retire if not,”

”As for the name of Blood Red Rose, do you care?” Bill asks the Mage.

”Or do you really care?” He asks the Warrior.

”Or do you all care about this reputation?” Bill jokingly asks everyone individually.

Everyone falls into silence. After a long while, the blonde Mage sighs, claps his hands to gather the team’s attention, then says, ”Tsk, let’s see. Bill’s this job plans to sell our Blood Red Rose’s reputation for, um, one to ten people, each getting twenty thousand Gold Coins, that’s two hundred thousand.”

”But I personally think this business deal is very profitable. Does anyone want to oppose?” The blonde Mage’s gaze sweeps over everyone in the team.

”Hey,” the Saint Tier Warrior grins, saying, ”Boss, why oppose a business deal where you can earn money without much effort? Whoever opposes, come try my fist!”

The yard bursts into laughter, for those who have mingled in the world and can still retreat unscathed are never the trustworthy benevolent kind!

...

The Dragon Group gathers atop the mountains. Except for Karon and Alina, who are afar, all Giant Dragons converge at the mountaintop, even Red Copper Dragon Alfred is invited.

This is the Dragon Council, also the future highest council. Although the overall system of the Giant Dragon Kingdom is still in discussion, the supreme rule of the Dragon Group has already been established.

The future Giant Dragon Kingdom will operate under a relative democracy ruled dictatorially by the Red Dragon, beneath which lies the highest level Dragon Council. Only Giant Dragons recognized by the Dragon Group can join this council, wielding the ultimate power to govern the kingdom.

Beneath the Dragon Council are various kingdoms’ organizations and departments.

Although Red Copper Dragon Alfred has not yet been authorized by the Dragon Group to build a lair among the mountains, he is already recognized as a future member, for due to Alfred’s character, almost no Giant Dragon dislikes him.

Though invited, Alfred is very self-aware. He neither possesses the qualifications nor has made any contributions yet, hence even a fart he passes is more influential than his words. So he quietly stays at the tail end, observing the disagreements and discussions among the Dragon Group.

Blue Dragon Carlette with blue hair stands at the forefront with the young Countess Batorri and the young squinting Mage Xiuse, waiting for the Dragon Group’s decision and judgment.

Blue Dragon Carlette’s face is now cold and indifferent, she encases her heart in iciness. Since she betrayed her Dragon Group, she cannot be accepted or recognized by them.

Such betrayal is intolerable by any Giant Dragon family. Even a family entirely of Blue Dragons, once knowing Carlette’s behavior, would execute this Blue Dragon and hang Carlette’s head at the highest point of the Dragon Group Territory to warn future dragons. This is an order and rule even the Five-Colored Dragon Queen Tiamat cannot prevent.

”I think Carlette should be killed, her head hung atop the mountains, her flesh used as fertilizer for the Dragon Group Orchard, her scale armor and bones will become the Dragon Group’s collection,” Blue Dragon Doss’ azure eyes shimmer with faint lightning streaks, and electrical sparks bristle with rage in his breathing.

Clearly, the betrayal by a same species greatly shames Blue Dragon Doss. His murderous intent intensely directs at the indifferent Carlette, feeling a surge of killing intent against such feigned indifference, ”Carlette, she doesn’t even show an ounce of remorse, nor apologize to the Dragon Group. Truly deserves death.”
