Beneath the Red Dragon

”As for you humans, obediently open your minds, let me plant the contract of enslavement, become my lackeys and serve me, otherwise, I don’t mind tasting the flesh of a mage,”

Young Red Dragon Kedelos grinned, opening its large mouth to reveal sharp teeth with a trace of blood.

”The flesh of mages, filled with magic power, must have a flavor that satisfies me.”

Kedelos, with its over eighteen-meter-long body, stepped forward, its thick claws crushing the front edge of the short mountain’s cliff.

Fragments of broken rock and earth rolled down from the cliff, crashing into the edges of the camp.

High Tier Mage Lu Man wore a bitter expression; he even thought of fleeing alone, diving into the plane teleportation magic array.

But the startup of such a massive magic array requires time and can’t operate around the clock; even wealthy mages wouldn’t want to bear such a cost.

He had to put aside his pride and stepped forward,

bowing his head to the young Red Dragon, said, ”We... are willing to submit, mighty Red Dragon, but I demand the respect deserving of a High Tier Caster.”

”Heh,” the young Red Dragon folded its wings, leaping down from the short mountain, its heavy body leaving four deep impressions in the soft soil.

The young Red Dragon slowly walked towards the High Tier Mage and suddenly flicked its dragon claw, sending the motionless High Tier Mage tumbling to the ground.

”Respect, in the face of the great Red Dragon, all creatures are destined to bow and become obedient slaves, even if you are a caster,” the young Red Dragon’s crimson eyes reflected its arrogance and disdain for the mage.

”Unless you are stronger than me, put that thought of seeking respect back into your big behind, obedience is your prerequisite for survival, mage, do not utter such foolish words before me again, or I’ll crush you outright!”

The young Red Dragon’s sinister tone and brutal nature were unmistakable, typical traits of most Red Dragons.

Perhaps High Tier Mage Lu Man encountered other giant dragons in Karon’s dragon group, which led to a misconception, but Karon and his group were distinct.

When it came to choosing between maintaining pride or choosing life, the High Tier Mage had no hesitation.

He again deeply lowered his head, quietly responding, ”Yes, mighty Kedelos!”

The young Red Dragon, pleased, paced as it planted the enslavement contract magic on the High Tier Mage.

This contract magic enslaves through the dragon’s bloodline, presenting little mental burden to the dragon.

In the past, it was used by dragons to enslave other powerful warriors, as not all dragon kin were as loyal to dragons as the dragon descendants.

Even those influenced by dragon bloodlines or created by dragons had numerous acts of rebellion against dragons.

There are many examples in the legacy of numerous dragons, where some powerful dragons were betrayed and killed by their dragon descendants.

Their scale armor became the dragon kin’s armor, their teeth, and claws became the dragon kin’s weapons, and their bones became the dragon kin’s collections.

Interestingly, the White Dragon topped this list.

The most famous case is of an adult White Dragon being defeated by a dragon kin it created, in a one-on-one battle.

The adult White Dragon was then killed by its dragon kin, who took over its nest and territory.

This dragon kin was the famous Dragon Wing King, Dismaison, known for his massive black dragon wings.

It’s said that Dragon Wing King Dismaison possessed the bloodline of an Abyssal Demon God, awakening it after becoming a dragon kin.

His massive wings could fan destructive flames, and his true name, hidden within dragon blood and his awakened demon god blood, held the power of devouring.

After Dragon Wing King took over the White Dragon’s nest and killed the adult White Dragon, several unidentified colored giant dragons attacked Dragon Wing King Dismaison’s nest under a dark and windy night.

The battle’s details remain unknown, but five unidentified ancient dragons and Dragon Wing King Dismaison, along with the surrounding thousands of miles, fell into the Endless Abyss, never to appear in the main plane again.

This event was deemed a disgrace by all knowledgeable Five-Colored Giant Dragons, etched into the legacy of dragons as a warning to future dragons.

The enslavement magic used by the young Red Dragon Kedelos was developed by some unidentified ancient dragons after these vivid examples, designed specifically to enslave potential and talented powerful subordinates.

It was also fortunate for Kedelos to awaken to this spell during its transition from adolescence to youth, aligning with its nature of seeing all creatures as slaves.

However, among all present, only this High Tier Mage could make Young Red Dragon Kedelos use this spell.

The High Tier Mage, if well-prepared, could harm the young Red Dragon, but Kedelos feared the High Tier Mage might escape, not because of this.

The young Red Dragon pressed its claw tip against the High Tier Mage Lu Man’s forehead, piercing a blood mark.

The dripping blood, under the young Red Dragon’s spell, began to wriggle as if alive, with tiny runes dancing in the blood, sketching a small magic array, which finally re-embedded into Lu Man’s forehead.
