Beneath the Red Dragon

”I’ve thought about it, Karon. My other skills aren’t particularly outstanding compared to the Giant Dragons of the Dragon Group, but I love storytelling, enjoy talking, and am good at making friends. So, maybe I could become the diplomat of the Dragon Group Territory? Although it might not contribute much to the Dragon Group!”

Red Copper Dragon Alfred carefully tested the reaction of the Red Dragon, believing that this characteristic wasn’t particularly special. If Karon rejected it, his thoughts would fall through.

Karon squinted his eyes, pondered for a moment, then shook his head and said, ”No, Alfred, maybe the role you can play is far greater than you imagine.”

Karon deeply understood that the stability of a kingdom, aside from its economic foundation and armed forces, had another crucial element—cultural awareness. It’s an indispensable foundation and the basis for uniting all the kingdom’s forces.

Moreover, cultural awareness can manifest as cultural and public opinion propaganda, which must be controlled as the foundational territory by the Dragon Group. It not only gathers the spiritual will within the kingdom, but also sometimes serves as a reverse cultural output.

However, previously during the initial creation of the territory, there wasn’t the foundation or energy to manage this aspect. Now it can be influenced and controlled through Red Copper Dragon Alfred, with some simple preparations first.

”Alfred, sometimes through storytelling, you can influence people’s views and opinions, and get them to change their minds,” Karon said,

”I will appoint you as the chief officer for external cultural exchanges in the Dragon Group Territory. Next, write down the stories I tell you. I’ll have you spread these two stories, remember to find those minstrels and have them spread it together, and also publish them as books for cheap sale.”

Red Copper Dragon Alfred nodded solemnly, took out a small notebook, and started preparing to record.

”These two stories are called Giant Dragon and the Game of Power, Ogre and the Princess,” Karon whispered, beginning to slowly recount the stories from the memory retrieved by the sub-brain.

Karon replaced all the dragon roles in Giant Dragon and the Game of Power with Five-Color Dragons and positioned them as voluntarily forming partnerships with humans, moved by human invitations, wanting to end the era of war. There were also some twisted adaptations of the details.

Anyway, whatever beneficial to the Dragon Group’s image. As he spoke, even Red Copper Dragon Alfred lamented, exclaiming, ”How could those dragons sacrifice their precious lives because of the despicable human power struggles? It’s truly lamentable, these humans are truly hateful.”

Karon shook his head and smiled; these two stories mainly aimed to weaken the evil nature of the Five-Color Dragons and highlight some of their shining points, without occupying too much space, lest it seemed too deliberate. No matter how other Five-Color Dragons reacted, as long as he and the Dragon Group benefited.

There’s also the story of Ogre and the Princess. This was a simple attempt by Karon towards cultural promotion and also beneficial for future ethnic integration within the kingdom. No matter whether others believe it or not, cultural promotion should be like brainwashing; long-term influence will always affect personal inherent viewpoints.

Also, Karon had some interesting games in his memory, which could become a cultural activity unique to the Dragon Group Territory. Imagine walking on the street in the future, a group of people suddenly invites you, ”Hey, want a round of Giant Dragon Card?” Karon suddenly found it quite interesting.

While Karon was reflecting on possible future realizations, he simultaneously, under the control of the sub-brain segment group, narrated stories to Red Copper Dragon Alfred.

After a long while, the voice finally stopped, and Karon lastly advised Red Copper Dragon: ”Alfred, you can also create similar stories yourself in the future. Those minstrels who perform well can be rewarded with some Gold Coins. You can start preparing to establish a department of your own.”

”And remember to promote some of the shining points and unique features within the territory, Alfred. I trust your vision and ability to certainly accomplish this task!”

Red Copper Dragon Alfred nodded excitedly, exclaiming, ”Karon, I’m already feeling a rush of enthusiasm. I can’t wait to do something. Don’t worry, I won’t let you down!”

”Maybe if you stay longer, not only will you feel an adrenaline rush, but the Dragon Flesh on you will also emit a scorched fragrance,” Karon said with a smile, looking at the scales of Red Copper Dragon already somewhat roasted dark golden by the high temperature.

”Ah, damn it. My beautiful scales, how will they attract those high-minded female dragons if they get burned in the future!” In Red Dragon’s lair, the roar of Red Copper Dragon echoed, shaking the heavens and earth.
