Chapter 2050: Meeting with the Third Prince

Henriette was waiting for the meeting. The branch director informed them that their special guest was willing to meet them to discuss the Auspicious Mytherean. For some, she was getting nervous about the meeting the more she thought about it.

For the Cladeos Emporium to act so carefully around this unknown guest, this special guest might be someone with a higher status than her husband. This worried her as she glanced at her husband, who was still consoling their daughter.

They failed to get anything from the auction, which caused her daughter to be even sadder. There were a few that her daughter was interested in, but most of them were out of their budget. Meanwhile, the special guest they were about to meet splurged the money like water.

Henriette doubted the special guest was willing to sell them the Auspicious Mytherean. That special guest was not someone who lacked money for sure.

The moment she heard the door open, she stood up. Meira entered the room, followed by her guards.

”We have prepared the place for the meeting, but they would like to have lunch first, and they have invited you to join them for lunch if you want. If you don’t want to discuss it over lunch, we can guide you to see our collection while waiting for them.”

Meira was weirded out that the Executive Administrator’s wife wanted to discuss it over lunch. But then she figured it out that night because of the four little girls. It was indeed time for lunch. They could hold it without getting hungry since they were ranked, but the children were different.

”But why? Are they really going to disrespect me this far, telling the Prince of Celes Kingdom to wait!?” Olympe questioned.

Meira expected the third prince would act out and was not surprised, ”It’s because of their daughters, Sir. Our special guest brought his four daughters with him, and it’s indeed time for lunch. That’s why they invited you to join them for lunch, too.”

Olympe could not accept the excuse, but his wife stopped him from pressing it further, ”Just stop it. If you don’t want to join the lunch, then you can wait for us. Filo and I will join them for lunch.”

The third prince was annoyed, but he listened to his wife. Henriette knew it was not enough as she added, ”And don’t make trouble. I will do the talk, and you can just stay silent, understand?”

Olympe clicked his tongue, but he nodded, and that caused their daughter to laugh at his father. When it came to his daughter, Olympe was not upset or angry that his daughter laughed at him. He was happy that he could make his daughter laugh.

”Before that, I have a question,” Henriette got up and faced Meira, ”May I know the identity of your special guest? I am not trying to be nosy or anything, but I just need to know his identity so I know how to act around them. I don’t want to accidentally offend them with something I don’t mean to.”

Meira hesitated because it was not her place to tell Henriette about Tang Shaoyang’s real identity. However, the third prince’s wife made sense.

”And I am going to meet him anyway, so there’s no harm telling him, right?”

That convinced Meira to tell them who the special guest was, ”His name is Tang Shaoyang, and he is the new Executive Administrator.”

Henriette thought the name was familiar and had heard that name recently. She could not figure it out right away until Meira said the last part. Her eyes widened a little bit at the realization.

”Ah, he is the famous nepo baby, huh?” Olympe blurted out, saying something he was not supposed to.

That drew Meira’s ire. Even if he was the third prince of the Celes Kingdom, he was not supposed to say that. Regardless of how Tang Shaoyang got the position, he was still an Executive Administrator. It didn’t dismiss his authority as Executive Administrator.

The worst part was that she heard Olympe had given up on the throne. For someone who had given up on the throne, it would be easier for an Executive Administrator to kill him. His cousins and brothers would willingly give this man up just to curry favor with the Executive Administrator. Getting rid of their potential rival and gaining favor from an Executive Administrator. That was too good a deal to pass.

The second worst part was that the Cladeos Emporium would be affected. They could not let their guest die, whether Olympe was a jerk or an arrogant asshole. That would ruin their relationship with the Celes Kingdom and potentially the La Vista Alliance.

If they protected Olympe from Tang Shaoyang, then they would put themselves on an Executive Administrator’s bad side. Losing their branch in the Beast Spirit Alliance was the best scenario, and the worst scenario was that they might lose their right to participate in the System’s event.

It was a lose-lose situation for the Cladeos Emporium. They needed to pick their poison if Olympe somehow drew Tang Shaoyang’s wrath.

”I am sorry, Prince Olympe, but you must watch your behavior when you meet our special guest. If you can’t promise me that, then I am sorry that I have to cancel the meeting. The last thing I wanted was a fight between you and the Executive Administrator.”

Meira felt like it was better to cancel the meeting to avoid the risk.

”I think it’s best if you don’t join me there if you can’t watch your mouth, Dear,” Henriette agreed with Meira, no, she preferred her husband not to join them.

”And if you bothered to check your message, then you will know the rumor is not true. The Hurakan Kingdom has confirmed that Tang Shaoyang indeed killed one of the emperors of the Void Cult. And I am being serious that you shouldn’t join us if you can’t be at your best behavior.”

”I know, I know... I will let you do the talk,” Olympe got up, carrying his daughter while waving his hand at his wife.

Henriette didn’t believe her husband, but she chose to trust him. He should know better than to offend the Executive Administrator. They followed Meira with their guards.

Meira guided them to the highest floor of the tower and led them to a room. She was about to open the room until she remembered something and turned around, looking at the guards.

”No guards allowed inside. Sir Tang Shaoyang doesn’t have a guard with him, so I hope you do the same. And once more, he comes with his family. I hope you can be respectful to his wives and children.”

Before Henriette or Olympe could say something, the guard stepped up, ”That’s the only thing we can’t tolerate. It’s our duty to protect the third prince, and we can’t leave him with no guard when he’s meeting with the Executive Administrator.”

”And you don’t need to worry. You are inside the Cladeos Emporium. Our guests’ safety is our priority. And Young Lady Elonia will be inside to be a middleman. Your prince will be safe inside,” Meira smiled.

Henriette raised her hand at the guard, ”It’s okay, Sir Delmon. I don’t think they will hurt us or have the intention to hurt my husband. It was we who requested the meeting, after all.”

Olympe nodded at the guard named Delmon, and the latter had no choice but to relent, with the exception that they were allowed to stay outside the room.

Henriette was nervous, taking a deep breath as she saw Meira’s hand reach the door handle. She was preparing herself to negotiate with the Executive Administrator on how to persuade him to sell the Auspicious Mytherean to her.

She was greeting not just a woman, but eleven women. A black haired woman with a white dress approached them with a smile, welcoming them. Her eyes moved down to this woman’s bulging belly, realizing the woman was pregnant. The woman introduced herself as Li Shuang, one of Tang Shaoyang’s wives.

Henriette recalled that Meira told her that the Executive Administrator came with his wives, not his wife. Out of eleven women, ten of them were Tang Shaoyang’s wives. She recalled that Meira told her that the Cladeos Emporium’s young lady was inside as well.

She expected this would be a hard discussion for her, but she ended up following their flow and became comfortable around them. She had a light meal and snack, and she was surprised by the food. It was comparable to the Royal Cook, and some of them were even better.

Her daughter, Filomena, sat together with the Executive Administrator’s four daughters, and they quickly became closer. Meanwhile, her eyes kept looking for her husband, who sat next to the Executive Administrator. She was worried that her husband would say something stupid.

Fortunately or not, Executive Administrator Tang Shaoyang didn’t really pay attention to her husband. Tang Shaoyang’s focus was on the food, and so was her husband. Her husband was too busy stuffing himself with the food that he didn’t care what the women talked about.

The conversation flowed smoothly, and they were getting to know each other. She praised the food, and when he found out that the Executive Administrator’s wife, Elinova, had cooked the food. She kept praising her, and it was genuinely praised because the food was truly good.

The food was great, and she had a great time. After the meal, Elinova took out the dessert and drinks. The dessert was even better in her opinion. That was when she realized that her daughter had moved to her husband’s lap when Tang Xiulan moved to Executive Administrator Tang Shaoyang’s lap for dessert.

That was when she witnessed a shocking and confusing thing. Her husband was actually getting along with Executive Administrator Tang Shaoyang. Both shared the same thing: both were loving fathers.

”I am glad they are getting along well. I am worried that your husband will cause trouble.”

The woman turned toward the voice, toward Elonia, who had just finished her dessert, ”I am talking about Lady Henriette’s husband, not Sir Tang Shaoyang.”

”I am also worried at first. My husband sometimes speaks whatever is on his mind, which sometimes could be offensive,” Henriette agreed with Elonia.

”Oh, our husband is also the same. Maybe that’s why they are getting along well,” Kang Xue let out a small laugh.

The two fathers were currently talking about the food. Prince Olympe also wanted Tang Shaoyang to taste the Celes Kingdom’s specialties.

”I think they are fine, Lady Henriette. Let’s get to the topic and speak about why you were requesting a meeting,” Elonia helped Henriette.
