Chapter 2021: Rebuilding Thousand Vows Pavilion

Tang Shaoyang gathered the people to be candidates for the Thousand Vows Pavilion. The people he deemed fit to lead the Thousand Vows Pavilion were more fit than he was. He did not know how different a sect operated from a normal faction, but he got the gist of it from Ouyang Biya.

A sect typically consisted of a sect leader, a vice sect leader, a designated young successor, and around eight to twelve distinguished elders who led various divisions focused on different aspects. A division focused on training the disciple, a division that focused on alchemy, a division that focused on smithing, and a division with a specific type of cultivation.

Dividing the specific type divisions would help the disciple to focus more on their cultivation than letting them join the general training. There was also some kind of Mission Hall that allowed the disciples to take a mission that would benefit the sect. An elder needed to lead this hall as well. The structure was more complicated than Tang Shaoyang thought.

On top of that, there were also ranks among the disciples. Starting from the servant disciple, outer disciple, inner disciples, and core disciples. Each also had their own elder. Elders for the outer disciples and elders for the inner disciples were different.

Tang Shaoyang gave up learning the complete structure of a sect and let his chosen one handle it. His duty was just to make sure that the rebuilding was a success. As he promised, his duty was to oversee the Thousand Vows Pavilion.

[The Thousand Vows Pavilion is different from the common sect in the Sacred Realm. We operate differently. We don’t have a sect master or patriarch, but we have a Grandmaster that leads each pavilion.]

This was another attempt from Han Taiyang to communicate with Tang Shaoyang. The moment he realized that Tang Shaoyang had the Grandmaster Codex, he started to talk even more. However, the situation was reversed now; Tang Shaoyang had ignored him until now.

Tang Shaoyang leaned on his chair with his eyes closed, not responding to the Sun Sovereign. He truly considered placing the Sacred Realm visit in the top list.

”How long do we have until the Heaven Founder starts their grand plan?”

The moment he asked the question, two distinct emotions transferred to him. Those two emotions were from Han Taiyang and Ouyang Biya. The former was upset that he was being ignored. The latter was quite awkward and felt bad for the Sun Sovereign. From Ouyang Biya’s reaction, the Sun Sovereign seemed to be a big figure in the Sacred Realm, and she knew him. That was the reason for her awkwardness. She did not want to come off as rude to Han Taiyang.

[If we didn’t encounter a mishap in the Skywound Realm, we will make our move in a month. However, I am not surprised if they delay the plan for two or three months. They would need to look for my replacement. Unless Supreme Guardian Kong has prepared my replacement before sending me to the Skywound Realm.]

Ouyang Biya started to suspect that Supreme Guardian Kong wanted her dead. She realized that the enemy in the Skywound Realm was not someone she could defeat. It was not about Tang Shaoyang, but Arion and Clementine. She found out from Tang Shaoyang that Arion and Clementine were on the Skywound Realm with him, and Supreme Guardian Kong did not warn her about these two figures.

Tang Shaoyang started to tap the table with his finger. He started to think about what he should do in the first few months. There was a lot of unfinished business that he left behind to obtain the God of Martial Class. His venture to build a mercenary company within the Dimensional Tower, and his neighbors in the God Realm, who wanted to claim his land.

Tang Shaoyang honestly had lost interest in the Dimensional Tower. He felt like the tower did not really benefit him that much. He started to understand why the big faction used the lower-ranked dimensional tower for training ground and resources.

Maybe the next tower would benefit him more because he planned to pick the God Level Dimensional Tower for the Earth’s last tower. He was confident he would have more than a thousand God Ranks by then. That was when the real thing started.

”As I said, I will focus on consolidating my new classes first for the first month and lay a foundation to rebuild the Thousand Vows Pavilion first. If there’s no major problem on the Administrator side, then maybe I can visit the Sacred Realm.”

Ouyang Biya was happy to hear the answer. She felt like she was not in a position to make any request. They were in a contract, but she had not done anything yet for Tang Shaoyang. That was why she was quite happy that she had a chance to visit the Sacred Realm. She had an inkling that she would likely return to the Sacred Realm.

[Haven’t you had enough ignoring me, Tang Shaoyang? Aren’t you being too petty at this point?]

Han Taiyang had had enough of being ignored and spoke up. He raised his voice and was obviously upset with the situation.

[I am the right person to ask if you want to know more about the Thousand Vows Pavilion, not this Heaven Founder’s cheap minion!]

Tang Shaoyang immediately sensed the emotional fluctuation from his spirit, especially Ouyang Biya, when the Sun Sovereign finished his words. Not just Ouyang Biya, but the other spirits grew not to like the arrogant Han Taiyang. It seemed like his antics were disliked by the other spirits.

Tang Shaoyang let out a chuckle, shaking his head, ”You will understand why I don’t want to talk with you if you look at yourself in the mirror. Do you think I want to talk with an arrogant jerk who doesn’t know his position?”

He sensed Han Taiyang was about to say something, but he silenced the Sun Sovereign, ”You can have a one-day break and reflect on your poor behavior.”

”And as for the Thousand Vows Pavilion... Unfortunately, the Grandmasters trusted me to rebuild the Thousand Vows Pavilion, not you. They don’t ask me anything specific, but just to rebuild the Thousand Vows Pavilion, and it’s not up to me either. It’s up to the people I choose. I will give them a picture of the sect, and I will let them do whatever they want to do.”

Tang Shaoyang did not plan to meddle in the sect management. As he said, he would act as an overseer, only as an overseer. He would do his best to help them, saving them if they were in danger, that was it. The sect’s matter would be handled by the chosen ones or the people who wanted to take the post.

He snapped out of his own thoughts as the sound of a door opening rang. Zhao Zhong and Yan Sheng entered the room together. They were still wearing their Dungeon Management Division’s uniform. Zhao Zhong was not alone; she was accompanied by his wife.

There was a reason why Tang Shaoyang called Zhao Zhong’s wife. He came to their wedding ceremony, and he remembered that Zhao Zhong’s wife was working in the Tang Empire Alchemist Association. He summoned her to offer a chance to learn the cultivator alchemy cultivation. It was something Yu, his former spirit, who had a deep knowledge of alchemy, kept for himself even when he worked in the TEAA.

As for why he chose Zhao Zhong and Yan Sheng, it was because they were the people who worked together with him before even the Tang Empire took shape. They fought together with him when he merely had a smart base. That was why he wanted to give them this chance, even though they were just promoted to the Vice Division of the Dungeon Management Division.

If he was not wrong, Zhao Zhong’s wife was Kate. He tried to remember her because Zhao Zhong was like a comrade to him, not just a subordinate. Zhao Zhong helped him to build his empire. Another reason why he picked Zhao Zhong and Yan Sheng for this opportunity.

Tang Shaoyang motioned at the empty seats, ”Take a seat. I will tell you why I summoned you here once everyone arrives.”

The trio looked pretty nervous and took a seat. Zhao Zhong sat to Tang Shaoyang’s right, and his wife sat next to him. Yan Sheng sat next to Kate. Their bodies were visibly tense. Fortunately, it did not take long for the door to be opened again. The next batch arrived.

Tian Donghai, Cao Yuntai, Fan Rui, and Gu Yingjie. These four people were at the same party as Tang Shaoyang, who cleared their first Survival Game together. The reason why he picked them up was that Yan Sheng was part of the party as well.

Yang Sheng, Kate, and Zhao Zhong were relieved when these four arrived. They were not informed why they were called. Tang Shaoyang used Origin to summon them, telling them it was an opportunity. The trio was visibly relieved seeing the old faces joined.

They seemed to be so busy with their own work that they rarely had time to catch up. They talked

Not long after, another one entered the room. A good-looking man with sharp eyes entered the room. His eyes were sharp, as if he were always in a state of alert. His expression changed when he was inside the room, and a small smile formed on his lips.

He was Bai Yuan, people used to call him Zombie because of the many and extreme scars he had on his face. It wasn’t until his girlfriend convinced him to heal those scars that he healed the scars, highlighting his good looks. The Tarrior called him Super Soldier now, because he refused to be promoted or hold a position, just wanting to be an ordinary, ranking Tarrior.

Then the last two people he called arrived, his brother-in-law Kang Zian, and his former spirit, the Demon Swordsman Zaneos.

Tang Shaoyang opened his eyes and motioned to the empty seat, ”Take a seat. Let’s make it quick because I have another meeting with the vassals later. As I said, this is an opportunity, and I will not force you to take it if you don’t want to. The choice is in your hands.”
