Chapter 2049: Sacred Beast Spirit

Tang Shaoyang was not aware that the Elemental Fox had broken the record bid. Since the previous bid was 9.8 billion, he thought this one would surpass 10 billion.

”How many do you have? I am not sure I have enough for this one,” He asked Li Shuang.

Li Shuang raised her thumb, ”Don’t worry, we have enough.” She assured him.

Temporal Venox had the same starting price of 500 million, and it easily surpassed 2 billion in a few minutes. Tang Shaoyang truly expected this one to surpass 10 billion, but to his surprise, they got it with 5.3 billion. He was not going to complain about it.

”We have finally reached the end of the auction, the last Beast Spirit for the auction. We call it King, the King of the Beast Spirit, the King of Fire, Sacred Beast Spirit!”

The female host brought the last Beast Spirit to the platform. It was a lion, a five-meter-tall lion, or maybe fire was the right word to describe it. The creature was made of golden fire but in the shape of a lion.

”Do I have to explain—”

Before the host finished his words, someone from the crowd raised his sign. The man with the number 32 sign immediately made his bid, ”1 billion!”

”I haven’t stated the starting bid, but we can start with 1 billion with 100 million minimum raise!”

”1.1 billion!” ”1.2 billion!”

Without a doubt, this one was a majestic Beast Spirit, but Tang Shaoyang showed no interest. It was cool to have, but he didn’t have the same strong attraction toward it as he did when he saw Temporal Venox.

The heated bidding war continued, and Azhug thought his boss would be interested, but to his surprise, his boss showed no reaction.

”Do you know what the Sacred Breast Spirit is, Boss?” The Ogre asked out of nowhere since no one showed particular interest.

”Isn’t it the species of that lion?” Tang Shaoyang didn’t know why his Chief Caretaker asked about that.

”Ah...” Azhug understood why his boss showed no interest. He forgot that his boss was still new in the field despite how much they spent to buy the Beast Spirit.

”No. That lion is called Golden Lion with strong Fire Elemental Power. It ascended to the Sacred Beast when it became the King of Beast Spirit.”

Tang Shaoyang didn’t understand what Azhug tried to say to him, ”So?”

Azhug started from the start, what it meant to be the King of Beast Spirit. In the World of Beast Spirit, there was a chance for one of the Beast Spirits to be the king of that World of Beast Spirit if they fulfilled certain conditions. Each world had different requirements, and the requirements were unknown. Only the Beast Spirit meets those requirements.

Certainly, one of the conditions was that the Beast Spirit be at least at God Rank. That was an absolute condition, but the other requirement was unknown even to the Shepherd of the Beast Spirit. Once a Beast Spirit became the king of a world, that Beast Spirit would ascend to Sacred Beast Spirit.

”And the second condition should be the five-star rating. The Tang Garden must be at a five-star rating to have a king. That’s the only thing I know about it. Or you can buy this Sacred Beast Spirit, and you will have your King of Beast Spirit. Having a King of Beast Spirit will automatically raise the Tang Garden’s rating to five stars. I haven’t told you about this since we are still quite far from five-star.”

Azhug thought Tang Shaoyang would change his mind and decided to buy this Sacred Beast Spirit. However, his boss merely nodded, showing no particular reaction he expected.

”Are you suggesting that I buy this Sacred Beast Spirit? Are there any other benefits?” Tang Shaoyang asked again, then he furrowed his brow, ”I don’t really like that lion. But we can produce our own King of Beast Spirit without buying one, right?”

”I don’t recommend buying the Sacred Beast. One of the benefits of having a king is that you can unlock a lot of stuff, progressing quickly. Yes, of course, we can produce our own kin. In fact, it’s better for the menagerie if we produce our own King of Beast Spirit instead of buying it,” Azhug replied.

The Ogre was still thinking there were more reasons for Tang Shaoyang to choose this class. There must be more than just making his family happy. That was why he tried to tell Tang Shaoyang of the benefit of the Sacred Beast Spirit. He hoped to know the actual reason why his boss picked the class so he could work toward that goal as well.

”That’s good. I want my Temporal Venox to be the king or maybe Sacrecio. That one also fit the image of a king,” Tang Shaoyang hoped his mount would be the king of his World of Beast Spirit. The stag is also fit to be the king.

”What if we somehow produce two kings?” That was a good question.

”You can’t have two kings in one world, Boss. They will kill each other until one of them dies. Separating them is a solution, and I believe the Cladeos Emporium’s affiliated Shepherd accidentally produced two kings, which is why this one is put in the auction.” As Azhug explained, he turned toward Elonia, wishing to confirm it with her.

”I am not really sure. My main field is not in the Beast Spirit’s business, and I know nothing about the Sacred Beast or the King of Beast Spirit. I could ask Meira if you want to know why,” Elonia was just as ignorant as Tang Shaoyang.

”I am not really in a hurry to raise our rating. Just take your time, and yes, I am serious when I said to make my Temporal Venox to be the king, or maybe Sacrecio.”

Tang Shaoyang was not really in a hurry to raise his rating, even though it meant more expansion and more Beast Spirits. He would like natural growth rather than forced growth by placing a king in the Tang Garden.

The Sacred Beast Spirit surpassed Temporal Venox and almost matched the pair of Elemental Fox cubs. The final bid was 9.2 billion for one Sacred Beast, and the one who got it was the first VIP.

”Is the fire lion the last pet, Daddy?” Tang Xiulan came to her father and asked. During the Sacred Beast Spirit’s auction, she had been playing with their Auspicious Mytherean. That was what she did when the Beast Spirit on stage didn’t interest her.

He was about to say yes, that was the last one, but then he realized what they were here for. They were looking at the doggy Beast Spirit, ”It seems so. It seems they don’t sell dogs here. But we can check the other shops if you want.”

There was no dog-like Beast Spirit in the Cladeos Emporium’s collection either. They had to check the other emporiums.

Tang Xiulan was disappointed, but she nodded. They could keep looking for the dog.

”Dog?” Elonia overheard the conversation.

”Ah, yes. My daughters are looking for a dog. We can’t find them in the stalls, and your collection doesn’t have dogs either. We thought the auction might have a dog-like Beast Spirit,” Kang Xue, who sat next to Elonia, explained.

”Ah, I see. Let me ask my employees. I believe we have a private collection, and we might find something your daughters want,” Elonia messaged Meira, asking about the dog-like Beast Spirit as well as to arrange a meeting with the third prince of the Celes Kingdom. Of course, she did not mention that the private collection was not supposed to be for sale.

”Sister Elonia says she will check if they have the doggy. Let’s wait for her worker to check, and if they don’t have it, then we’ll check the other shops, okay?”

Tang Xiulan turned toward Elonia, and for the first time, she stared at Elonia. The latter was smiling at the little girl, but then she didn’t know what to say. Elonia was not that good with children, but then she noticed a similarity between them, their pointy ears.

The short pointy ear was telling that Tang Xiulan was also half-elf like her, and she did find two elves in this room.

”Thank you for your help, Sister Elonia.” Tang Xiulan bowed, then she returned to the Auspicious Mytherean’s side. All three Auspicious Mytherean were not in their cage. One was sleeping on Elnar’s arm, the second one stayed on Elnar’s shoulder, and the third one slept in Meadow’s embrace.

For some reason, Elonia was determined to find the dog that Tang Xiulan was looking for. She stood up, was about to visit their private collection by herself, until the door was knocked thrice, and Meira entered the room.

”I hope you enjoy the auction, and we are willing to listen if you have input that could improve our auction hall.”

Meira was relieved that the Executive Administrator said nothing, not even mentioning the incident.

”I have prepared the room for a meeting with our sixth VIP guest. Unless you have changed your mind, Sir.”

”No. We will meet them, and let’s process their payment for all our auction items while at it,” Li Shuang was the one who answered. The only item they had paid for was the first Auspicious Mytherean. They had not paid the rest of the Beast Spirits.

”Oh, if I may ask, can we request a bigger room so we can have lunch? And then tell the third prince they can join if they want and talk about what they want to discuss over lunch,” She added.

Tang Shaoyang did not like the idea of sharing his lunch with strangers, but he said nothing.
