Chapter 2019: The Daenelis Clan Proposal

With everything over, Tang Shaoyang had forgotten how Clementine and Arion had put him in a meddlesome situation, where he had to lead hundreds of people on the Special Mission. He forgot about it and focused on the next step.

He would listen to more stories from Ouyang Biya. While at it, he wanted to return to his daughter. He didn’t care how Arion and Clementine felt about the mission.

”My purpose for coming here is to get into my new class. If you want to train them, you two can issue another special mission to a less dangerous abandoned world or even a more dangerous abandoned world. Don’t we have many abandoned worlds that need to be cleared?”

Arion and Clementine were left speechless, but they also could not refute Tang Shaoyang. The reason for bringing these many administrators was to establish a relationship between Tang Shaoyang and the other administrators. They thought Tang Shaoyang would need to establish himself as the new Executive Administrator.

However, Tang Shaoyang made it clear that he did not care what others saw in him. He was fully focused on his matters and business. The plan Arion suggested to Clementine did not work.

’I guess he doesn’t care even if no administrators respect him when his empire is in danger.’

Arion thought to himself. He thought he knew Tang Shaoyang a little bit, but he was wrong. His new friend did not like to rely on others but on himself. Tang Shaoyang could clearly make a connection with any administrators, and they would side with him in the fight against the God Order and the Nirvana Alliance.

However, Tang Shaoyang did not allow any administrators but his own team to get close to him. He distanced himself from the other administrators, even though these administrators and the factions backing them. Many would do everything to establish a connection with an Executive Administrator, but Tang Shaoyang was still not aware of the influence of the Executive Administrator.

A notification rang from the System, telling them to leave the Skywound Realm. The System gave them half an hour to leave this world because the System would start the unification process. This world would be absorbed into the God Realm in half an hour.

”You also owe me because I helped you to find a lead about who might be the killer of the Executive Administrator, no? We know it’s not the calamities who killed him or her, but the people from the Sacred Realm.”

Clementine and Arion almost forgot about that because of how fast Tang Shaoyang cleared this world. That was right, they might have a traitor sitting in the Executive Administrator.

”I am leaving. Unless something urgent comes up, please don’t call me.” Tang Shaoyang’s figure faded, but then he remembered something, ”Ah, I might have more information about the attacker. I will message you when I find more about them.”

Clementine and Arion watched Tang Shaoyang disappear as he was teleported back to the Administrator Space. Both clicked their tongues when they heard the last part, but they did not chase after him.

”If you are worried about him, why don’t you join him with your army? If you join him, you will increase his chance to win by 50%, no?” Clementine smiled.

Arion waved his hand, ”Hell nah. Don’t get involved with this mortal matter, but I don’t mind lending him my new experiments.”

-Tang Shaoyang-

He returned to the hall where they had a briefing before. His team appeared after him, and he motioned at them to follow him. There was something he needed to discuss with his team.

”So you will be away at least for one month?” Ira asked for confirmation.

”Yes. I have gotten two new classes, and I need to consolidate my classes. Of course, you can pick a mission without me, just like how you were doing in the Skywound Realm. Just update me with the details of the mission when you are picking a mission.”

As an Executive Administrator, he no longer had a quote to be fulfilled. He was free from those conditions, but that was not the case for his team members.

He was not lying about what he said about consolidating his new class. He needed to draft a contract for the Tang Garden’s caretakers, then he needed to explore his options for his cultivation. Especially when he had a guide now. Ouyang Biya, who was one stage away from the peak of the cultivator, might be the perfect guide for him.

Then there was also the Thousand Vows Pavilion’s rebuilding matter as well. He had a few names in his head of who to pick as the successor who would lead the new Thousand Vows Pavilion. For that, he needed to consult Ouyang Biya to pick the cultivation technique for the successor.

On top of that, instead of creating another special mission, he might visit the Sacred Realm sooner. Ouyang Biya’s presence changed his plan for the future. He might create another special mission after returning from the Sacred Realm.

After three or four special missions, he was thinking about visiting the Dragon Realm. Before the Nirvana Alliance and the God Order’s ban was lifted, he needed to make sure of the stance of the Dragon Realm. Would they be his enemy, or would they stay neutral?

One of the Dragon Guardian’s descendants was involved in his assassination during the Trial of God. Aside from that, he had this prickling curiosity about the Dragon Realm. However, he did not want to visit the Dragon Realm unless he had enough army.

Tang Shaoyang thought 218 Archaic Spirits might not be enough to hold the whole Dragon Realm. He had the Skelly Family, but he did not think the Skeleton Army would be enough to fight an actual dragon. He needed more preparation to visit the Dragon Realm than the Sacred Realm. That was why he prioritized visiting the Sacred Realm over the Dragon Realm.

”I think we will be fine even without you, Sir.”

Anne, the Senior Administrator, replied confidently. Even though it was just a month, she felt like their team was one of the top teams, even without Tang Shaoyang. She had more trust in Khaya to lead them as well.

Ira expected this to happen when Tang Shaoyang was appointed as the new Executive Administrator. The Executive Administrator worked differently from the lower-ranked administrator. The Executive Administrator only moved when it was something big or related to the Void Cult. They always needed to be ready for the Void Cult.

”I think so too. Lady Khaya has also proved to be a leader we can trust as well. We will be fine without you.”

It was weird when Ira said that. Not long ago, she was overseeing the trial Tang Shaoyang was in, and now he rose to a position where she might never be able to achieve in her lifetime.

The others shared the same sentiment, and in fact, some of them were quite excited not to go on a mission with Tang Shaoyang. The reason was that Tang Shaoyang always took a more dangerous mission than usual. The Skywound Realm was the best example.

After discussing the matter for another half an hour, the meeting was over. The Reds team members left one by one.

Tang Shaoyang was also about to leave, but Khaya reached his wrist, ”I have something to discuss, privately.” She added the last part when the others looked in their direction.

Tang Shaoyang shooed his team members. Castor whistled playfully, teasing his captain and also his superior. If it were someone else, Castor might be stripped of his new position as Junior Administrator.

”Let’s skip the pleasantries and get to the point,” Tang Shaoyang said once everyone was leaving. He could not wait to see her daughter again after being away for a little over one month.

Khaya nodded, ”It’s about my clan, the Daenelis Clan. We would like to join the Tang Empire as a clan, and we wish to be granted a territory in us to live. We prefer cold climates, but it doesn’t matter because we can create the ideal place to live.”

After witnessing Tang Shaoyang fight against the cultivators, she was convinced to join the Tang Empire. Her captain again and again had shown her what he was capable of. She was convinced that the Daenelis Clan’s Chief would not be able to stand toe to toe against Tang Shaoyang.

She managed to persuade the Chief and Elders of her clan after Tang Shaoyang was appointed as the new Executive Administrator. While the majority leaned toward joining the Tang Empire, they asked her to confirm Tang Shaoyang’s power.

The sword play against the cultivators convinced her, and she had intense communication with the Elders and Chief of her clan. She convinced them to join the Tang Empire.

Of course, there was a disagreement between the Elders while the Chief followed the majority, which was to join the Tang Empire. There was an opposition that disagreed to give up their freedom for the sake of protection. But the majority agreed to have a talk with Tang Shaoyang, to discuss further how it would work for them when they joined the Tang Empire.

Tang Shaoyang paused, not expecting this topic. He thought she wanted to discuss the mission, like what kind of mission they should take without him, and so on. He was not expecting it to be something more serious.

”Hmmm...”

”Can I have your time to talk this out with my Clan Chief and Elders?” Khaya thought the process would be smooth. The Daenelis Clan was not a big force, but they had the quality. They didn’t have an army, but they had more than forty God Ranks in the clan. She did not expect Tang Shaoyang to hesitate to accept her proposal.

”I have my own people to talk about this. You and your clan don’t need to convince me, but you need to convince my minister if your clan wants to join my empire. Let me ask my minister.”

Tang Shaoyang took the matter seriously and sent an inquiry to Li Shuang about an additional force for the Tang Empire. Li Shuang should be available, not inside the Dimensional Tower, considering her pregnancy. Sure enough, Li Shuan replied to him quickly.

”My people need some time to discuss because they are not expecting your clan to join us. Let’s keep in touch and set up a meeting for further discussion.”
