Chapter 1095: Chapter 378: Guardian Family

In the luxurious carriage on his way back, Rein opened the wooden box containing 11 Soul Energy Crystals and grabbed them all.

[Ding! Detected Soul Energy Crystals capable of enhancing spiritual power liquidation level. Would you like to accelerate absorption? (Note: System absorption can eliminate impurities and absorb all at once.)]

”Yes!”

Instantly, Rein felt a part of the silver mist in his mind begin to surge and rapidly transform into silver liquid.

The silver liquid increased immediately, and after several seconds, this growth finally started to stop.

Due to the double-digit number of Soul Energy Crystals, compared to the three pieces brought by the elegant lady Jennifer last time, Rein felt the enhancement this time was quite significant.

Rein glanced at the system panel:

Spirit: 88 (Liquidation 42%)

”But only 11 pieces, and it increased by only 10%.” Rein raised an eyebrow, thinking to himself.

”No wonder, compared to its expensive price and tiny increase, ordinary noble offspring might not afford it.”

”Unless they are offspring of top families from the Imperial City. However.... their biggest issue is the after-effects; they can’t use them consecutively like me and must pause for a while after each Soul Energy Crystal.”

...

Not long after, back at the Bavarian family mansion, Rein couldn’t resist the temptation of the new Second Level Witchcraft and greeted Anna before heading to the study and opening the sheepskin scroll.

...

One hour later.

Inside the training room.

As Rein silently chanted spells, after a few seconds, he pointed at an iron-wood dummy not far ahead.

A flash of dark silver light appeared around the iron-wood dummy, and a square metal cage similar to those used for prisoners suddenly appeared, enclosing the iron-wood dummy inside.

”How amazing, is this the effect of mobilizing surrounding metal energy particles?” Anna exclaimed from the side.

”And it’s so thick!” Anna leaned in for a closer look and used her slender, fair fingers to feel the sturdiness of the cylindrical bars of the metal cage, quite surprised.

Rein nodded with a smile.

According to the effect description in the sheepskin scroll, the thickness of the metal cage bars should roughly be two fingers thick.

But Rein’s casting resulted in bars as thick as an adult man’s wrist.

Rein knew this was due to his top-level metal element affinity, plus the additive effects of the Steel Heart Meditation Method.

At this moment, the system prompt followed suit:

[You have learned the Metal Cage, related understanding enhanced!]

[You have comprehended a new skill—Metal Cage]

[Your skill Metal Cage has been improved, Experience +3]

...

Meanwhile, a brand new icon appeared at the bottom of the Warhammer Wizard (Legendary) panel.

The icon depicted a square metal cage with bars of consistent thickness.

And a line of small text below the icon read:

Metal Cage lv1 (1/100)

Metal Cage lv1 Effect: Consumes a certain amount of spiritual power to summon surrounding metal energy particles through a specific witchcraft model, rapidly forming a metal cage around a single target.

(Note: Casting time 3 seconds.)

After practicing for a while, Rein noticed an issue.

The proficiency improvement of Second Level Witchcraft poses a difficulty multiple times that of First Level Witchcraft.

”Knock knock knock!”

Just then, knocking sounds came from the training room door.

”Come in!”

A young man appeared at the door, dressed in silver armor with gold thread patterns, resembling the Duke of Mingster in appearance.

This allowed Rein to immediately guess his identity.

”Lord Rein, hello, I’m Halowin.” The young man smiled brightly, giving a very sincere vibe.

”Lord Halowin, hello.”

”And this must be Miss Anna.” Halowin nodded slightly towards Anna.

”Lord Halowin, hello.” Anna curtsied gracefully.

”Huh? This... is Second Level Metal Series Witchcraft ’Metal Cage’?” After greeting, Halowin inadvertently glanced at the metal cage enclosing the iron-wood dummy that Rein had cast.

His eyes immediately fixed on it.

”Such power....” Seconds later, when Halowin looked at Rein again, his demeanor completely changed.

Halowin, nicknamed ’Bavarian Lance’, excelled beyond the Duke of Mingster, naturally possessing legendary power.

A few days ago, he received a message from his father saying that a young man named Rein was transferred to the Imperial Swordsmen Headquarters and would temporarily reside at their family mansion.

To be honest, at that time, Halowin felt his father might be too courteous.

Even though his father clearly stated in the letter that the young man had significantly aided the Mingster Province and the Bavarian family in the Mingster Swordsmen Division, and that the young man was exceptionally talented.

But there’s no need to be so polite, right?!

But now, this young man’s talent is not just extraordinary; it’s top-notch throughout the entire Empire.

It’s known that the improvement in a wizard’s power exceeds that on the path of knights, yet this person of such young age is already a Second Level Liquidization Wizard, and rare in the metal series; what does this mean?

After some exchange, Halowin’s eyes gleamed as he looked at Rein, saying: ”Lord Rein, would you mind a friendly spar?”

Rein was startled when he heard this!
