Chapter 1058: Chapter 368: Bury Him in a Pile_2

“Lord Rein truly deserves to be the Empire’s Fine Gold Level Swordsman!”

“Hmm? Admiral Howie, you must be mistaken, I’m still a Diamond Star Swordman. Fine Gold Level Swordsmen are only found at headquarters.” Rein was now puzzled.

“Haha, right, I almost forgot, Lord Rein, you might not have received this news yet.” Admiral Howie smiled and signaled to the middle-aged man beside him.

“Lord Rein, one of these documents is a formal letter just transferred today from the Mingster Branch, and the other is an attachment, which is the Sword Holder Headquarters’ promotion order for you.” The middle-aged man named Fiornado respectfully took out two official documents from a briefcase beside him and handed them to Rein.

Rein raised an eyebrow, took them, and immediately began to read.

First was the promotion letter: “Hereby promoted… Report within one month…”

Secondly, a formal letter signed by Admiral Edward: “… return to Mingster as soon as possible… preparatory work…”

After quickly reading through the two official documents, Rein nodded.

Only then did he understand why both Admiral Howie and these two Sword Holder department heads treated him with such respect.

It turned out that he had now been assigned to the Empire’s Sword Holder Headquarters, and among all Sword Holders, he held the highest administrative level of Fine Gold.

No wonder!

“To the Imperial City?”

“Indeed, it’s time to go.”

“My Steel Heart Advanced Meditation Method’s second layer is still at the school over there…” Rein mused.

Initially, he had plans to visit Imperial City Tamriel soon, and now it seemed like perfect timing.

…

After reading the two official documents, Rein continued to describe the situation of that battle.

A few minutes later, the capable and mature woman Leana asked again:

“Lord Rein, judging by what you’ve described, the opponent’s final strike focused most of its energy on the attack. Although it was powerful, it was evidently somewhat reckless…”

“It’s hard to imagine why that person would do such a thing.”

“Did you say something, or do something?”

Because the opponent’s behavior greatly contradicted the records of the Nether Sea Goddess Hela in ancient texts.

In the various stories recorded about Hela, the counterpart acted more rationally, haughty, and wisely.

But in Rein’s account, it was entirely inconsistent.

“Well…” This time, Rein was genuinely a bit embarrassed to speak.

Seeing Rein’s expression, everyone became even more curious.

Could it be that Lord Rein before them had done something extraordinary again?

“Ahem… Lord Rein, if it involves your privacy and is inconvenient to disclose, there’s no need to speak.” Admiral Howie coughed, providing an escape route.

Although he was quite curious, Rein’s current status as the Empire’s Fine Gold Level Swordsman required even a branch leader like him to maintain due respect.

“It’s not that, it’s just that what I said at that time was somewhat arrogant. By the way… since you two are responsible for documentation, remember to note that my words at the time were meant to provoke the opponent.”

“Of course, Lord Rein.” Leana and Fiornado quickly nodded in agreement.

“Well… at that time, the other side solicited me again, wanting me to submit, but I said, ‘Perhaps, if you submitted to me, I would consider it!ʼ”

Rein couldn’t help but blush slightly as he spoke the latter half of the sentence.

He himself felt a bit embarrassed to say it out loud.

Yet Rein underestimated the impact of his words!

No sooner had he spoken than the surroundings fell silent enough to hear a pin drop!

This time, even Admiral Howie, who had seen much of the world, looked at Rein as if witnessing a cow flying in the sky, utterly stunned.

And Luther inwardly roared: ‘Oh my! Lord Rein, you’re too…’

Is this arrogance?

This is an earth-shattering statement!

Luther searched his heart for a long time but couldn’t find the right words to describe Rein, who said such a thing.

“Ahem… remember to note that I said this to provoke the opponent.” Rein looked at everyone’s expressions and realized how shocking his words were, so he took the initiative to remind them.

“Oh, alright… alright, Lord Rein.” The two responsible for recording nodded repeatedly, slightly flustered, and began to write furiously in their notebooks.

“Um… Lord Rein, one last question, what do you think of that one’s projection, its overall strength?” Fiornado posed the final question.

“Well… it’s hard to say, judging from the energy limit they can manipulate, it’s probably not at the Epic level, but their witchcraft and extraordinary battle techniques have already surpassed what a Crystallization Wizard or Titled Knight can achieve.”

Rein recalled the battle situation at the time and answered seriously.

“I beg your pardon, Lord Rein, how did you defeat them?” Fiornado said with a puzzled expression.

Because Rein, though strong, is not an Epic-level powerhouse.

According to Rein’s statement, if the opponent is so strong, it means that apart from an Imperial Guardian, an Epic-level power, no one else, including Rein, would be able to defeat them.

“Perhaps my physique is rather unique, with thick skin and good physical strength, which caused the projection’s energy to deplete greatly.” Rein was slightly surprised and said.

This involved system recovery and point recovery for physical strength, which Rein naturally glossed over.

“Yes, I can attest to that; Lord Rein’s unique physique was evident in the battle with Ancestor Dragon Kolaxius.” Luther agreed from the side.

“Then there is no problem; thank you very much, Lord Rein, for your honest account. We will report this immediately.” Fiornado nodded slightly, giving thanks.

…

“By the way, Lord Rein, your badge and official letter.” At this moment, Luther remembered something and took out a transparent, circular insignia and a letter from his bosom to give to Rein.

“The Ice Claw Bear Mercenary Group is still in Marn City; do you wish to meet with them?” Luther added.

“No need, just trouble Lord Luther to tell Fandar, I intend to return to Mingster immediately.” Rein shook his head and said.

His badge remains the Diamond Star Sword Bearer’s Emblem, and as for the Fine Gold Level badge, one naturally has to go to the Sword Holder Headquarters to exchange it.

“Lord Rein, do you plan to return to Mingster Province immediately?” Upon hearing Rein’s plan, Admiral Howie and Luther exchanged glances and immediately understood why Rein was doing this.

“Very well, Lord Rein, do you need to replenish anything on your side?” Admiral Howie proactively asked.

“If the Marn Branch has rare metals, I intend to replenish some.” Rein thought for a moment and said.

“Of course, it’s a trivial matter. Leana, note down what Lord Rein needs to exchange and quickly handle it.” Admiral Howie immediately agreed.

“Alright, my lord.”

…

One hour later.

After replenishing nearly a hundred kilograms of various rare metals, such as hardened essence gold and enchanted silver, Rein not only fully restored the rare metals consumed during the previous battle but also more than before.

It’s not that Rein was greedy, but his transformation into Dragon-man weapons and armor size, as well as the release of metal series witchcraft, all required more metal reserves.

Fortunately, the Blood Feathered Horned Eagle is renowned for its strength; speed is not its strong suit, slower is fine as long as it can fly.

After bidding farewell to Luther and the others, Rein and Anna rode the Horned Owl Beast, once again heading south into the sky.

…

In the skies over Beverly Pass.

Hundreds upon thousands of Wind Rocs were circling, with a particularly massive golden-winged Wind Roc at the center of the group — it was the leader of the mutated Wind Roc, nicknamed ‘Intestine Breaker,’ Merick.

Originally, after receiving the mission orders from his queen, Merick planned to actively seek out the target, Rein, guided by the divine power crystal.

But just as he was about to depart, Merick was surprised to discover that the opponent was swiftly advancing toward the Beverly Pass location.

In other words, there was no need to actively attack; the opponent was already on the path to self-immolation.

However, regarding the task entrusted by his queen, Merick naturally could not take it lightly, hence he gathered thousands of Wind Rocs under his command.

Even if the opponent is strong, as long as they are not an Epic-level powerhouse, Merick has absolute confidence.

After all, thousands of tribe members, each unleashing a wind blade, together could overwhelm this Rein to death!
