Chapter 1072: Chapter 372: From a Strength Perspective_2

Moreover, linen outerwear, in terms of material and style, is only suitable for commoners. Nobles would never choose to wear it, so no matter how proficiently the Viscount masters it, it is meaningless.

”My lord, I suggest you start learning with silk material directly. Perhaps you can make a shirt for yourself with your own hands.” Yuliss suggested with a smile nearby.

”That works too.” Rein nodded.

Although silk is much more expensive than linen, Rein did not consider the loss of material. Additionally, the more advanced materials might bring more experience rewards once successfully crafted.

Next, under Yuliss’s dedicated guidance, Rein found the system prompt sounding after ten minutes:

[You have crafted a silk shirt, related comprehension enhanced!]

[You have comprehended a new skill—making silk shirts]

[Your skill in making silk shirts has improved, experience points +7]

[You focused on making silk shirts for ten minutes, tailor profession experience points +4]

”As expected.” Rein’s eyes brightened.

Compared to linen outerwear, the more complex craftsmanship and valuable material of silk shirts yield several times more experience points rewards.

Subsequently, Rein tried making a few linen shirts for horizontal comparison.

He discovered that upgrading from linen to the more valuable silk did reward more experience points, but the increase was not significant, about two to three tenths, indicating that the system’s experience rewards lean more towards changes in crafting difficulty.

The key to the significant increase in experience points for shirts, compared to linen outerwear, lies in the making of collars, cuffs, and button installation.

”If that’s the case...”

After consecutively crafting over ten items, Rein believed he had caught the ordinary silk shirt skill. He turned and said to Yuliss beside him:

”Yuliss, is there a way to add some difficulty or fancy details to the basic shirt?”

”Uh... of course, generally speaking, for shirts of male nobles, we usually incorporate silver and gold threads at the collar and cuffs. Further, we embroider particular family crests on the chest with gold and silver threads.”

”Although gold and silver are relatively softer materials, sewing them is quite difficult, much harder than ordinary thread. Viscount, you can give it a try, but it’s normal for the first attempt to fail.”

Though Yuliss didn’t know why Lord Rein suddenly wanted to challenge high difficulty.

Regarding her lord’s whimsical ideas, Yuliss knew that her role was to cooperate to her utmost rather than questioning, something Lady Jennifer repeatedly reminded her.

Hence, Yuliss naturally spared no detail in her explanation.

Meanwhile, she laid a hint about sewing with metal threads.

To prevent the young Viscount from psychologically breaking down and venting anger on her upon failure.

”Silver thread? Gold thread? Aren’t those metallic threads?” Rein’s eyes gleamed hearing Yuliss’s words.

He was familiar with this!

Really familiar, and skilled too.

In witchcraft killing move ’Multiple Cutting Net,’ one of the preliminary processes involved instantaneously reshaping several fine metallic threads.

Rein merely glanced at the neatly arranged gold and silver threads on the table, memorized the lengths and diameters, and instantly converted a part of the mithril in his hand into mithril threads of the same specifications.

This scene immediately stunned Yuliss and the other female tailors.

”This... this...” Yuliss widened her eyes, not knowing what to say momentarily.

It was then she realized her lord wasn’t just a noble knight, but also a wizard.

Rein, on the other hand, skillfully began stitching several mithril threads onto the shirt’s collar and cuffs. Before long, a simple yet noble secret silver embroidery shirt was completed by Rein.

After pondering, Rein embroidered a family crest of cross dual-handed warhammer and greatsword woven from mithril thread on the shirt’s left chest.

And the system prompt sounded simultaneously:

[You have crafted a secret silver embroidery shirt, related comprehension enhanced!]

[You have comprehended a new skill—making secret silver embroidery shirts]

[Your skill in making secret silver embroidery shirts has improved, experience points +24]

[You successfully crafted a secret silver embroidery shirt, tailor profession experience points +19]

...

Comparing to before, the increase rate in tailor profession level is akin to upgrading from riding a small electric scooter to a Ferrari 458, sped up by four to five times at least!

Seeing this speed, Rein couldn’t help but smile.

Several hours later.

Rein elevated the tailor profession level from lv2 to lv4 (778/1000).

Up to this point, including the recent level-up, he had 4 attribute points and 8 skill points remaining.

Regarding golden skill points, he gained 14 points from defeating ’Intestine Breaker’ Merick last time, making a total of 54 points now.

Just as Rein intended to keep up the momentum and push tailoring to lv5, a familiar voice rang outside the door.

”Lord Rein, no, Master Rein, long time no see.”

A capable young woman, Olena, in a tight skirt with piping and a pale red lace shirt, appeared at the doorway.

”Lady Olena, it has indeed been a while.” Rein smiled and gestured invitingly, indicating for Olena to chat in a nearby room.

Earlier in the morning, he had Jennifer send someone to the Sword Bearers Branch to inform Olena of his arrival in Mingster.
