Chapter 1070: Chapter 371: Imperial City Aristocratic Families (Part 4)

Therefore, living in the Inner Ring is a symbol of power and status in the entire Dragan Empire.

The mansion in the Inner Ring is the residence of the Empire’s top prestigious family, the Drum Family.

A white-haired noble, with his hair slicked back, sat solemnly behind a large mahogany desk, listening to a report from the butler Owen.

After a few minutes, the white-haired elder slowly asked, ”So, you have confirmed that the Sam Group was annihilated by a young Sword Bearer named Rein from Mingster Province?”

The elder is the Duke of Drum, and he is also the patron behind the Sam Group.

Although there are no less than ten elite mercenary groups like the Sam Group, or teams working for him, Sam himself pleased him greatly, and now that he had died, naturally, he wanted to look into it.

”Yes, we have also thoroughly investigated the other’s resume and background over the past few days.”

”This young man has no major background, but his talent is extraordinary, and he has advanced rapidly in strength. He is now a Diamond Star Swordman at the Mingster Swordsmen Division.”

”Moreover, the other party has been involved in several imperial operations and events, earning considerable admiration from Admiral Edward, the head of the Mingster Swordsmen Division, and we have also discovered that even the Duke of Minter seems to regard him highly.”

Butler Owen reported respectfully.

The reason for reporting so many days after the annihilation of the Sam Group was precisely because of this.

He spent a significant amount of time arranging for specialists to investigate in detail this young man’s strength and background.

In his view, if this Rein only had some strength but no background, there was no need to report to the Duke. He could just arrange for someone to deal with him. It was precisely because the opponent had an official background as an Imperial Swordsmen that made it much more difficult to handle.

”Sword Bearer?”

”Currently, the family lineage with the highest status among Sword Bearers should be Greenwood, right?” the white-haired elder frowned slightly and said.

”Yes, Your Grace, it is indeed Lord Greenwood, who is now a Secret Silver Level Sword Bearer at the Sword Holder Headquarters, just below the top-level Fine Gold Level Sword Bearer.”

”Hmm, since the opponent relies on being a Sword Bearer and thinks he’s invincible, then send Greenwood over.”

”Tell this young man that since he was able to kill Sam, it shows he has remarkable strength, and as you also mentioned, he is quite young.”

”I appreciate strong young individuals and am willing to offer him an opportunity. If he is willing to work for me in Sam’s place, I can let the matter of the Sam Group slide.”

”Of course, the Elf girl mentioned in Sam’s previous report should naturally be brought here,” the Duke of Drum pondered for a moment and slowly said.

”As you command, Your Grace, I will contact Lord Greenwood immediately and set off for Mingster as soon as possible!” Butler Owen respectfully bowed.

The quality he most admired in his Duke was precisely this.

When considering matters, he never acted from his own emotions. As a superior, his Duke clearly saw the talent in Rein and thus extended an olive branch.

This is also the reason why the Drum Family has been thriving for a century.

In Owen’s view, his task this time was very simple.

Invite Lord Greenwood to accompany him, demonstrate the strength of the Drum Family as the Empire’s top prestigious family, and once the other party understands the difference between them, he would then extend an olive branch to them.

At this point, as long as the other party is not foolish, they will surely seize this opportunity tightly and work for the Drum Family.

As for the Elf girl, she would naturally be handed over willingly.
