Chapter 1069: Chapter 371: Imperial City Nobility (Part 3)

”Uh... okay, dear.”

The beautiful woman clearly hadn’t quite wrapped her head around it. Shouldn’t her dear be practicing Extraordinary Battle Techniques or witchcraft?

Why suddenly start learning tailoring?

The last time making elastic underwear was a necessity for a transformation, but this time?

Could it be that Rein has taken a liking to this Yuliss?

After all, the other party is a gentle and beautiful woman too...

In an instant, the beautiful woman thought of many things.

”Never mind, tailoring probably requires quite a few things. It might even need some dyeing or something. Inform that Yuliss, starting tomorrow, let her shop close for a week.”

”I will go to her shop and study tailoring skills properly.” Rein thought it over and decided to visit in person.

Because compared to the apprenticeship period, being an official tailor involves quite a lot of tools and materials.

As for letting her close down, for Rein, that was a trivial matter. It’s worth noting that these tailor shops are properties of the commerce guild.

Compared to enhancing his strength, closing a tailor shop is an insignificant matter.

As for profits? They can almost be ignored...

”Okay, dear.” Naturally, the beautiful woman didn’t have any objections to this.

However, thinking Rein might be interested in the gentle Yuliss, she used her remaining strength to sway her delicate waist actively.

This quite surprised Rein.

Huh?

Is this unsatisfied?

What followed was naturally an intense battle again.

It wasn’t until the beautiful woman was visibly exhausted that the fight came to an end.

...

The next morning.

Inside Yuliss’s tailor shop.

Rein, accompanied by the beautiful Jennifer, arrived at the master tailor Yuliss’s shop.

The tailor shop was located on a bustling street of the Mingster Trade District, with streams of people passing by. Given Yuliss’s extraordinary skills, business was always excellent, but today was an exception as there was an unusually rare closed sign at the door.

When the tall and handsome young Rein entered the tailor shop, all the female clerks and a few female tailors showed expressions of amazement.

It was their first time seeing the big boss Viscount Rein, and they didn’t expect him to be such a young and handsome nobleman.

”Good day, esteemed Viscount Rein.” Yuliss, having met Rein before, naturally recognized him instantly and respectfully gave a lady’s curtsy.

”Good day, Viscount!” The female clerks and tailors followed Yuliss in greeting after snapping back to reality.

Rein smiled and nodded, saying, ”Hello. Yuliss, I might be interrupting your regular business this time.”

”Viscount, it’s our tailor shop’s honor for you to be here.” Yuliss paid her respects once more.

It wasn’t her place to ask why Rein wanted to learn tailoring.

Rein glanced around and saw that the tailor shop wasn’t very large, about seventy or eighty square meters, with separate areas for ready-to-wear, fitting rooms, and other partitions.

As they entered the crafting area, Rein saw various materials neatly arranged on several long tables, including common linen, linen rolls, silk, silk rolls, and various thick and thin threads.

Scissors and knives were also a common sight.

”Yuliss, I want to quickly improve my tailoring skills. Which part should I practice making?” Rein asked directly without much small talk.

”Well... Viscount, you’ve already tried making simple things last time, like underwear.” Speaking of underwear, Yuliss blushed slightly.

”My suggestion is to start with something simple in shape but a bit more complex, like a linen coat.” Yuliss suggested.

”Once you’re familiar, you can try making a linen shirt. Shirts have collars and need buttons, so it’s a bit more complicated. However, since shirts come in various styles and colors, they’re ideal for improving tailoring skills.”

”Also, if you’re interested, you can learn fabric dyeing.” Talking about tailoring, Yuliss spoke eloquently and passionately.

”Alright, let’s start with the linen coat as you suggest.” Rein nodded and agreed.

...

With Yuliss’s guidance and Rein’s exceptional learning ability, a few minutes later, the system prompt sounded:

[You crafted a linen coat, related insights enhanced!]

Imperial City Tamriel.

Amidst the lush and low-density Inner Ring, there’s a luxurious standalone mansion with a sculpted depiction of a manticore on the gate.

Due to the Imperial City’s population density far exceeding regular cities, the entire city management is divided into multiple ring structures: Inner Ring, Second Ring, Third Ring, and Fourth Ring, etc.

The Fourth Ring and beyond are for the trade district and civilian areas. For civilians, having a home in the Fourth Ring of the Imperial City is considered the best acknowledgment of a lifetime’s efforts.

For the Third Ring, there are identity restrictions for purchasing, mostly reserved for nobles, church personnel, and top-tier merchants.

As for the Second Ring, apart from the church middle and upper tiers, it starts from at least an Earl.

The Inner Ring is even more remarkable.

Basically, if you’re not a Duke, there’s absolutely no chance of having a spot here.

Remember, the Dragon Empire Royal Family has a thousand-year-old heritage, numerous offspring, and vast territories. Each province’s ruling duke needs a residence in the Imperial City, not to mention the church hierarchy and major Guardian Families including iconic structures like the Imperial Koen Cathedral located here.
