Chapter 1093: Chapter 377: Metal Cage (Part 3)

After all, Rein was quite looking forward to higher-level witchcraft and the potential exchange of soul energy crystals.

After navigating several turns down the long corridor, Rein arrived at the headquarters’ special items exchange hall, in front of a three-story building with a white marble facade.

The architecture resembled the Baroque buildings from Rein’s past life.

It featured round pillars, walls with distinct projections, and numerous decorative patterns and relief sculptures, exuding grandeur and elegance.

As Rein entered the exchange hall, he noticed the dome design, the impressive height, and the spaciousness, with the number of people inside being four to five times that of the Mingster Branch.

At this moment, every counter had quite a queue, and the black wisdom tablet in front of them was larger and more high-end compared to the branch.

It wasn’t long before it was Rein’s turn.

Seeing this, a young female staff member stood up and smiled, saying: ”Hello, sir, how can I help you?”

”I’d like to inquire about all available metal series witchcraft at the headquarters.” As he spoke, Rein handed over his newly minted Fine Gold Emblem to her.

”Alright, sir.”

”Ah, the Fine Gold Emblem!” the staff member exclaimed softly, clearly surprised.

After a brief moment of surprise, the young staff member quickly and respectfully accepted it with both hands, placing the Fine Gold Emblem into a specially made slot.

”Sir, since you have the highest level of access, you can view all available exchange items at the headquarters. Currently, I’ve found four items concerning metal series witchcraft. Please have a look at the wisdom tablet,” the young staff member said.

As she spoke, a dense cluster of small white characters appeared on the black tablet in front of Rein:

”Sharpness Technique: Zero Level Witchcraft, consumes a certain amount of spiritual power, using a specific witchcraft model to attract surrounding metal energy particles, enhancing the sharpness of the designated metal weapon for about a minute.

Exchange price...

”Metal Barrier: First Level Witchcraft, consumes a certain amount of spiritual power, using a specific witchcraft model to drive a certain amount of metal fragments, floating within a two-meter radius around the caster, blocking any attacks intending to harm the caster.

Exchange price....

Rein had long since learned these two.

Naturally, Rein quickly skipped over them, focusing his attention on the last two.

”Metal Cage: Second Level Witchcraft, consumes a certain amount of spiritual power, using a specific witchcraft model to draw surrounding metal energy particles, rapidly forming a metal cage around a single target.

Exchange price: 2 Secret Silver Medals plus 15,000 Merit Points.

Source: Halsh Ruins.”

”Thorny Iron Ball: Third Level Witchcraft, consumes a certain amount of spiritual power, using a specific witchcraft model to attract surrounding metal energy particles, forming a giant thorny iron ball, crushing the target.

Exchange price: 3 Fine Gold Medals plus 27,000 Merit Points.

Source: Olsen Fasin.”

Upon seeing the above, Rein’s eyes immediately lit up.

Although compared to other series, the number of metal series witchcraft wasn’t much even at the Sword Holder Headquarters, the fact there were both Second and Third Level Witchcraft still made Rein quite satisfied.

The Second Level Witchcraft ’Metal Cage’, as described, turned out to be a rare control-oriented metal series witchcraft.

Moreover, he met the requirements for the necessary Task Evaluation Medal and Merit Points for exchange.

This meant he could exchange for it at any time.

As for the Third Level Witchcraft ’Thorny Iron Ball’, there’s no rush. Not only was Rein short of medals at present, but even if obtained, he was only a Second Level Liquidization Wizard and couldn’t learn Third Level Witchcraft.

Thus, Rein glanced again at the description of Second Level Witchcraft ’Metal Cage’, nodding slightly.

Even if this move could be escaped by the enemy, if it could delay just a moment, given Rein’s speed, it could very well turn the tide.

”Help me exchange for Metal Cage.”

”Alright, sir.”

”By the way, are there soul energy crystals available for exchange?”

”Yes, Lord Rein, the exchange price for soul energy crystals is 1 Diamond Star Task Evaluation Medal, plus 2,000 Merit Points.”

Hmm? Does it also require a Task Evaluation Medal?

Indeed, it’s expensive.

In that case, with his Secret Silver Medal, he could exchange for 9 Diamond Star Medals, plus the 2 remaining Diamond Star Medals, he could exchange for 11 soul energy crystals in one go.

”Use the Secret Silver Medals to help me exchange for 11 soul energy crystals.”

”Ah? Sir, are you sure you want to exchange the Secret Silver Medals for lower-level medals?” the female staff couldn’t help but remind.

It’s well known that Secret Silver Medals are hard to obtain, and even at the Sword Holder Headquarters, those who operate this way are very few.

”Yes.”

”Alright, sir.”

Soon, Rein was satisfied as he left the exchange hall with a sheepskin scroll and a wooden box.

...

Five minutes later, Mia and Chandler hurried to the exchange hall, where Chandler went up, chatted animatedly with a few female staff members, and returned saying:

”They said the tall, unfamiliar young man just left.”

”So fast?” Mia was a bit speechless; she and Chandler had just rushed over from the administration building’s reception desk.

Unexpectedly, Rein was so efficient that he got his business done in less than ten minutes.

”Let’s go, find him again!” Mia puffed angrily as she left the hall.

...

Half an hour later.

”I’m so annoyed! That Rein left the reception and headed straight to the exchange hall, exchanged something, and then left.”

”Later, when we asked the guards, they said he had left the headquarters,” Mia said indignantly.
