Chapter 1037: Chapter 361: Witchcraft Killing Move

After some thought, Rein went to Winterfort Academy to borrow two more soul energy crystals, finally pushing the fogging progress to one hundred percent, and subsequently opting for a breakthrough.

[Beginning promotion... continuous transformation in progress...]

In an instant, Rein could clearly feel the intense changes occurring to the spiritual power crystal with a base in his mind, based on the original First-Level innate wizardry.

An additional three-dimensional structure, slightly smaller but more complex than the sorcery model of ’Metal Morphing Spell’.

Similarly composed of extremely condensed spiritual power crystal, with intricate patterns on the surface, it was exactly the Second-Level Metal Series Witchcraft ’Cutting Net’.

To put it vividly, it transformed from a single-layer cake to a double-layer cake-like three-dimensional structure.

Around the structure, the originally dense silver mist seemed to have disappeared, rapidly shrinking.

Upon careful observation, one would discover that the silver mist hadn’t disappeared, but gradually transformed into a small silver liquid, swirling around the ’double-layer cake’.

This must be the concrete form after the liquification of spiritual power.

While Rein was contemplating, the system prompt suddenly sounded:

[Detected that the host is breaking through to Second-Level Wizard, unlocking the improvement restriction of innate wizardry ’Metal Morphing Spell’, would you like to improve this sorcery? This improvement requires consuming 17 golden skill points.]

(Note: Improved innate wizardry will be more suitable for the host to cast, with enhancements in power, attack range, or other aspects.)

”Hiss~”

”I didn’t expect that innate wizardry could only be improved during promotion!” Rein’s eyes brightened suddenly, realizing.

Because he had considered this while improving the ’Sharpness Technique’ sorcery previously.

Since other sorcery could be improved, how about innate wizardry?

But he later found that, seemingly due to the crystal solidification in the mental sea, it wasn’t feasible to improve sorcery.

Now it seemed that improvement was actually possible, but with strict conditions: improvements could only be made during breakthroughs when the originally solidified innate wizardry could be improved.

”That’s great!”

Rein was naturally overjoyed at the ability to improve the most frequently used innate wizardry ’Metal Morphing Spell’.

Without any hesitation, Rein chose ’Yes’ immediately!

Once the promotion ended, the crystal stabilized again, then improvements could no longer be made.

Simply put, if you miss this chance, there won’t be another opportunity.

Instantly, a vast amount of information about the improvement process of innate wizardry ’Metal Morphing Spell’ flooded into Rein’s mind...

As if Rein spent hundreds of years in some mysterious space, considering his casting habits and improving the Metal Morphing Spell, making subtle adjustments to the sorcery model to better suit himself.

Meanwhile, the uniquely quick-forming double-layer spiritual power crystal in the mental sea also underwent synchronous micro-adjustments.

Soon, the system prompt came again:

[Ding! The host’s innate wizardry ’Metal Morphing Spell’ improvement completed, new sorcery model adjustment succeeded, sorcery power increased by 19%, spiritual power consumption reduced by 23%.]

...

”Hmm?” Rein’s eyes brightened considerably.

”This enhancement is impressive, not only increasing the sorcery’s power but further reducing spiritual power consumption, amazing!”

The spiritual power consumption of the innate wizardry originally was only about one-tenth of the same-level non-innate sorcery, and now, it further reduced to about one-twelfth or even one-thirteenth compared to non-innate sorcery.

The improvement of innate wizardry ’Metal Morphing Spell’ synchronized with the promotion to Second Level Liquidization Wizard, and when the improvement was completed, the promotion was nearly finished.

System prompts appeared consecutively:

[Host’s spiritual power significantly increased... initiating liquification....]

[Ding! Promotion to Second-Level Wizard successful! Spirit +15!]

[Acquired Second-Level Innate Wizardry: Cutting Net]

...

Several minutes later, when Rein reopened his eyes, he felt that his perception of the world had deepened....

If during the previous promotion to Official Wizard his perception was akin to lifting a veil or mist from this world, now it was as though he was observing and perceiving the world through a magnifying glass.

Whenever he wanted, he could perceive any pinpoint-sized spot around him, or detect some extremely subtle movement nearby.

...

Several minutes later, Rein focused his attention on the system panel.

Since this was a promotion to Second-Level Wizard, not a career change, the Warhammer Wizard profession panel didn’t undergo any significant changes.

Rein first checked the system prompts:

”Oh? Spirit actually increased by 15 points?!”

”The other attributes haven’t increased, but it’s understandable, previously it was a career change, this time it’s just a promotion, differences are normal.”

Next, he glanced at the attribute panel:

Spirit: 88 (liquification 1%)

”It’s finally liquefied.”

Rein briefly activated the First Layer of Steel Heart meditation method, and as expected, the effect of spiritual power enhancement and condensation began to drop significantly, as for the impact on advancing the liquification process, it was nearly imperceptible.

”Looks like I must visit the school soon. To continue improving as a Second Level Liquidization Wizard, the Second Layer of Steel Heart meditation method is indispensable.” Rein thought.

What follows is naturally Rein’s most concerned aspect—the Second-Level Innate Wizardry.

He swiftly found the newly formed large icon at the top on the Warhammer Wizard (Legendary) profession panel.

The pattern within the icon was a simple metallic straight net formed by nine horizontal and nine vertical lines intersecting, with a description below the icon:
