Chapter 1022: Chapter 357: Deep Sea Giant (Double-Length Chapter)

At this moment, Rein, who was resting on the side, suddenly noticed that the members of the Ice Claw Bear Mercenary Group looked at him with rather strange eyes, seemingly mixed with some reverence.

At first, Rein thought it was because he helped the Ice Claw Bear Mercenary Group kill many Thick Shell Lobster Men.

Until a few minutes later.

Fandar came over and said in a slightly restrained low voice:

“Lord Rein, you… you surely aren’t a Third Level Wizard Apprentice but an Official Wizard, right?”

“Oh? Captain Fandar, how did you find out?” Rein smiled, indifferent that Fandar discovered part of his hidden strength.

However, he was still somewhat curious about how Fandar found out.

After all, he thought he hid it intentionally.

“Uh… don’t you think you’ve used the ‘Sharpness Technique’ spell a bit too many times?”

“Over thirty uses of ‘Sharpness Technique’ is absolutely impossible with a Wizard Apprentice’s level of spiritual power, even for a Third Level Wizard Apprentice,” Fandar stated firmly.

“Hmm?” Rein pondered a bit, then suddenly realized.

Indeed! He now had as high as 68 points of spiritual power.

Although casting ‘Sharpness Technique’ over thirty times only used about a third of his spiritual power, it was also almost equivalent to the full spiritual power of an Official Wizard.

So that’s how it was.

“Georgia, give Lord Rein your initial spiritual power recovery potions,” Fandar turned his head and said to his sister, Georgia, beside him.

This time, the young woman approached without a word, her head bowed, holding out a light blue potion that looked like an ink bottle with utmost respect.

No hint of her previous prideful demeanor.

The young woman did not question her brother as to why he wanted to give such an expensive initial spiritual power recovery potion to Rein.

Rein smiled slightly and took the potion, saying, “Thank you!”

“You’re welcome! Lord Rein, it was my fault earlier…” The girl apologized weakly, her fair cheeks slightly red.

Rein waved his hand, naturally not holding a grudge against the girl, knowing that she was simply a bit proud but essentially good-hearted.

After resting for a while.

The Ice Claw Bear Mercenary Group, with the help of Rein’s improved Sharpness Technique, launched another attack on the Lobster Men camp.

Soon, the Thick Shell Lobster Men warriors in this camp were almost wiped out, and the remaining old, weak, sick, and disabled hid in the semicircular mud huts, not daring to show themselves.

The sacks brought by the Ice Claw Bear Mercenary Group were also filled to the brim at this moment.

Everyone was delighted!

The task they had originally planned to take seven to ten days was now mostly completed in just half a day due to Rein, reaping nearly sixty pairs of giant pincers.

“Captain, should we move to another location now? Staying here too long might attract the attention of the Sea God Sect.” A Tower Shield Warrior reminded Fandar.

“Right! Almost forgot!” The smile from Fandar’s face suddenly disappeared as he came to his senses, patting his head heavily, he said.

“Everyone, gather the loot, and move immediately.”

At this moment, Rein looked up toward the west and said with a slight frown, “Captain Fandar, organize a defense; retreating might be too late.”

“They’re already here!”

“What!”

Upon hearing Rein’s words, everyone was stunned!

Quickly, everyone, including Fandar, looked towards the west, and after seeing the number of incoming enemies, their faces changed drastically.

“Oh my! Look, why is that Lobster Man so large!”

“Yes! And one of its pincers is exceptionally huge!” exclaimed an archer with the best eyesight.

Everyone immediately focused their eyes.

Indeed, a gigantic Lobster Man standing nearly three meters tall stood conspicuously among a group of Lobster Men, who were usually only two meters tall.

Surrounded by a dozen elite Lobster Men with glistening giant pincers, and even two black-robed figures suspected to be monks from the Sea God Sect, they charged toward the Ice Claw Bear Mercenary Group aggressively.

“Retreat to the right!” Fandar said sternly after seeing their numbers.

“No, Captain, there are Lobster Men on both the left and right, and even more of them!” a team member cried out seconds later.

“Quick! Back to the rocks, organize a defensive formation!” Fandar’s expression changed, rapidly altering his orders.

“Tower Shield Warriors to the front, archers ready!”

…

Upon hearing the orderly commands of the captain, the panic on the faces of the Ice Claw Bear Mercenary Group quickly subsided, though worry was still apparent.

However, Fandar was very adept at utilizing every advantage to uplift the team members’ spirits, as he loudly called out:

“Don’t panic! Don’t forget we have Lord Rein with us, a genuine Official Wizard!”

Although the members had speculated before that Rein might not be just a Wizard Apprentice, now hearing their captain’s confirmed answer, their morale soared.

Because even between a Third Level Wizard Apprentice and an Official Wizard, the gap in combat ability is quite significant.

“That’s right! With Lord Rein here, we just need to do our part!”

“Yes! We’re sure to win!”

“Lord Rein, could you please cast Sharpness Technique on the two archers first?”

“We need to eliminate the Sea God Sect monks on the other side first, otherwise, I’m afraid even the Tower Shield Warriors won’t withstand their evil magic attacks,” Fandar said respectfully to Rein.
