Chapter 1012: Chapter 354: Refinement and Enhancement (Double-Length Chapter) (Part 2)

Merita had just been scolded by her mentor, with her head hanging down to her chest, but upon hearing Rein’s tone, which showed he didn’t particularly mind, she looked at him with even more gratitude.

She immediately adjusted her mindset and began to narrate to everyone:

”Mentor, Lord Luther, Vice Dean Werti, here’s what happened....”

...

”I should have realized, it turns out Lord Rein is seeking the old residence of Otakar Fry, the Second Level Liquidized Wizard known by the nickname ’Cutter’.” Batalov said enlightened.

The others also showed expressions of sudden realization.

After all, during the battle, besides Rein’s formidable melee strength that left everyone dumbfounded, his mastery of metal series witchcraft made a deep impression on them.

Searching for offensive metal series witchcraft was naturally expected.

”Oh? Otakar?” Rein raised an eyebrow, clearly noticing Batalov’s wording, it seemed the head of Winterfort Academy was quite familiar with the wizard nicknamed ’Cutter’.

”Yes, ’Cutter’, real name Otakar Fry, made his name in the Northland just over thirty years before me, a rare metal series wizard unfortunately failed at advancing to Third Level Crystalized Wizard.” Batalov recalled.

”However, his old residence might have a rather troublesome situation.” Batalov furrowed his brow, seemingly recalling something.

”Oh?”

Everyone curiously looked at Batalov.

”Actually, besides ’Cutting Net’, Otakar’s signature move had another lesser-known one, and that is he had a swarm of Four-eyed Giant Moths, or maybe you know them by another name - Soul-eating Moths.”

”Soul-eating Moths? Are those the moths that the Spiritual Body loving soul-eating moths?” Luther furrowed his brow.

”That’s right! Seems like Lord Luther has also heard of them.” Batalov nodded.

”Of course, these soul-eating moths are almost a nightmare for knights, immune to physical damage, and I’ve heard that even witchcraft damage isn’t very effective against them?”

”Yes, soul-eating moths are a peculiar half-spiritual creature, immune to physical damage, with high resistance to various types of witchcraft, unless you can perform witchcraft that directly targets the soul, then it’s easier to kill them.” Batalov nodded, approvingly.

”But direct soul-targeting witchcraft isn’t that easy to come by? This kind of witchcraft is probably the most precious kind among black witchcraft, I’ve rarely heard of it.” The elegant woman Werti sighed.

”Indeed.” The rest nodded in agreement.

Soul-eating moths?

Require direct soul-targeting witchcraft?

Doesn’t that fit perfectly with ’Soul Shatter Strike’?

Thinking of this, Rein couldn’t help but smile inwardly.

At this moment, Batalov and Luther, among others, focused their attention on Rein.

Even though they had seen Rein’s nearly unmatched close combat prowess in this battle, they all assumed Rein was mainly on the Knight Path with the Wizard Path as a supplement.

Facing soul-eating moths immune to physical attacks, Rein would likely suffer a lot.

”Lord Rein, perhaps, you should wait a bit longer, until I recover from my injury, and I’ll accompany you.” Batalov suggested after some thought.

”Um...Lord Rein, I might not be able to handle the soul-eating moths, but I should have no problem keeping the Sea God Sect at bay.” Luther chimed in immediately.

Rein paused to consider, then shook his head, ”No need, Dean Batalov, Lord Luther, I think I can handle this situation.”

”However, for detailed information on the soul-eating moths, I might need Dean Batalov to provide more specific information.”

”Hmm?” The others exchanged glances, momentarily puzzled.

But since this involved Rein’s trump card, he naturally wouldn’t elaborate.

”Of course, no problem, Lord Rein, but this may require returning to Winterfort Academy first, as the relevant information is stored in the academy’s library.” Batalov agreed, nodding after regaining his composure.

”Alright, thank you, Dean Batalov.” Rein slightly bowed in thanks.

...

After handling the dragon corpse and gold mine matters, Rein and the others stayed in the Ancestor Dragon Nest for several more hours before setting off together to return to Winterfort Academy.

Before leaving, Rein reminded the White-furred Bear Monster Priest Ulu Sen of a few things and left a communication method.

Several hours later, they arrived at Winterfort Academy.

Since Batalov hadn’t previously known of Rein’s strength and identity, the initially arranged room was just a standard accommodation double room.

This time, Winterfort Academy allocated the only two luxurious suites used for reception to Rein and Anna.

Besides a bedroom, living room, and bathroom, the luxury suite also had a small training room with quite complete facilities.

Inside the suite.

Rein finally had the time to check some changes in himself.

The concentration of his Mutated Dragon Bloodline had reached the ’dense’ level, granting the ’high-speed healing’ top-level talent.
