Chapter 1020: Chapter 356: The Demise of the Hard-Shelled Lobstermen (Double-Length Chapter) (3)

If it weren’t for Rein, proposing to take a short rest after performing the Sharpness Technique over thirty times, the thick-shelled lobster people in this camp would have been cleared by the excited members of the Ice Claw Bear Mercenary Group.

…

—————–

Meanwhile.

In a cave at the bottom of the Frost Mist Cliff of Wailing Wind Fjord.

The cave interior was extraordinarily spacious, seemingly formed after excavation, creating a hall about twenty to thirty meters high.

At present, several fire pits were placed around the hall, with many slide-blade Nagas and even more thick-shelled lobster people on guard.

In the center of the hall were four broad stone chairs, arranged in a semi-surrounding manner, all fully occupied at the moment.

“Why have there been no updates from the Black Flame Church in the past two days?” The man in black robes in the center said in a deep voice.

“Not sure, Lord Harvers, do you think it’s unnecessary to wait for them anymore? Our people are almost all here, and we could launch a large-scale attack on the Empire.”

“Not advisable, if we do that, we’ll be the ones sticking our necks out. The Empire’s strength is not weak on the Frostwind Prairie; we would face most of the Empire’s pressure, or even retaliation.”

“Ha, then let those weak humans come!” A thunderous voice rang out.

The cave’s rock ceiling even shed a lot of dust due to the huge sound waves.

The nearby weaker thick-shelled lobster guards seemed unable to withstand the sound, their originally upright postures bent down, and their matchstick-like eyes drooped, hiding within their thick shells.

The owner of the voice was next to the man in black robes.

On the right side of the center, the broad stone chair couldn’t accommodate his nearly ten-meter-tall massive figure.

If Fandar were present, he could recognize that the figure was a Deep Sea Giant, much taller than the one he had seen previously.

Typical Deep Sea Giants are only six or seven meters tall, but this one was actually ten meters high, covered with bulging muscles, holding a gigantic heavy hammer with barbs.

But if you look closely, you’ll find that it’s not a heavy hammer.

It’s clearly a ship’s massive anchor, roughly polished into this hammer-like shape.

“Commander Dune, please be patient; we trust your strength, but according to the Pope’s orders, it would be best to exercise caution.”

Harvers seemed to be rather apprehensive of this Deep Sea Giant Commander, so he spoke mainly to appease, borrowing the Sea God Sect Pope’s authority.

“Hmph! Wasting my precious time, you continue your discussions! I’m going to sleep!” Giant Dune’ sprang up, the large string of shells and skulls hanging around his neck clattering, exuding a strong oppressive aura.

Under the fire pit’s reflection, the blue skin surface of the Deep Sea Giant Commander Dune had fine scales. Apart from a seaweed covering, his entire body was bare.

At this moment, a slide-blade Naga swiftly slithered in to report:

“Reporting to the lords, a follower of the God of Hunting has arrived, named Diyaam, who is a Chief Priest.”

“Invite him in.”

Then, the slide-blade Naga High Priest Eshura’s silvery laughter sounded, and she said laughingly, “It seems like the Black Flame Church is ready. Commander Dune, why not wait and hear before resting?”

“Indeed, Commander Dune, if my guess isn’t wrong, the Black Flame Church is likely to notify us to proceed with action.” Harvers also smiled.

“Alright, I hope that’s the case.” Dune thought for a bit and sat back down, but the sturdy stone chair emitted a groaning sound of strain.

Two black-robed individuals with black flames embroidered on their cuffs entered, it was Diyaam and his subordinate.

Diyaam had recently elevated half a grade, considered a candidate for Great Priest, temporarily leading the Black Flame Church’s operations on the Frostwind Prairie.

Still, his face bore no sign of a smile.

Whenever thinking of potentially facing that ‘monster’, Diyaam felt uneasy.

“Lord Harvers, everyone, I am Diyaam from the Black Flame Church.” Diyaam saw the four high-ranking Sea God Sect personnel in front, his eyes lit up, realizing he had come to Wailing Wind Fjord at the right time.

Except for the lobster elder on the far right, whose strength seemed comparable to his, the other three exuded overwhelmingly powerful auras.

Even the black robes and towering Deep Sea Giant in the middle seemed slightly stronger than his former superior, Great Priest Erikson.

“Lord Diyaam, are you here to inform us to begin action?”

“Yes, but not quite.” Diyaam pretended to ponder.

“Hmm?”

Upon hearing the ambiguous answer, everyone’s gaze immediately gathered on Diyaam.

Diyaam then began to explain:

“Recently, our Black Flame Church has engaged in many battles with the Empire, and even Great Priest Erikson has fallen in battle.”

“What?!” Upon hearing this, even the always-calm Harvers revealed a noticeable look of shock.

He had indeed met Erikson before.

He also knew that while Erikson’s strength was slightly weaker than his, it was only by a fraction.

“Did the Empire send Dragon Knights? Or other Guardians?” Slide-blade Naga High Priest Eshura couldn’t help but twist her body somewhat urgently.
