Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys

Chapter 1023: Chapter 357: Deep Sea Giant (Double-Length Chapter) (Part 2)

He knew well that whether they could hold their ground depended on the young Wizard Rein before him.

”Of course.” Rein nodded and agreed with a smile.

...

On the other side, Yakolan, the chieftain of the Thick-Shelled Lobsterfolk, used a tactic of encircling from three sides, thinking the human mercenary group would definitely be frightened and scatter. Unexpectedly, the opponents leaned against the solid reef and fortified their position.

”Interesting!”

”They do have some strength after all.”

”Go!” With Yakolan’s order, over ten elite Thick-Shelled Lobsterfolk charged forward.

Meanwhile, two Sea God Sect Monks began chanting and casting spells, but they were very cautious, first applying a defensive witchcraft similar to the Water Membrane Technique on themselves.

”Whoosh! Whoosh!”

Just as the two finished casting, five or six streaks of light arrived in an instant!

The two Sea God Sect Monks upon seeing this scene couldn’t help but smirk.

Trying to ambush?

Too slow!

But immediately, the smirks froze on their faces.

Because they saw that the incoming arrows were unusual; the silver gleam on the arrowheads was so distinct, even a bit dazzling.

”That’s Sharpness Technique!”

In an instant, they realized a few things, such as why the Thick-Shelled Lobsterfolk, known for their heavy shell armor and defense, were beaten to ask for help.

”Thud! Thud!”

The sound of perforation resounded continuously!

One of the Sea God Sect Monks was already hit in the forehead by an arrow and fell straight down, while the other was hit by three arrows in critical areas like his waist and abdomen.

”How can it pierce with one shot?” The severely injured Sea God Sect Monk exclaimed in disbelief, eyes wide open.

”Such power....”

He realized there was something odd about the opponent’s Sharpness Technique, as the Water Membrane Technique defense was pierced through by an arrow like a fragile bubble, a situation he encountered for the first time.

”Glug glug...” Wanting to warn Yakolan next to him, but the second severely injured Sea God Sect Monk already began to cough up a stream of blood bubbles, soon following in the footsteps of his companion.

”Hmm?!”

With the instant death of the two Sea God Sect Monks, Yakolan, the chieftain of the Thick-Shelled Lobsterfolk beside them, looked a bit displeased.

The heavy casualties of his own tribe before already upset him, and now with the Sea God Sect Monks’ deaths, it made it even harder for him to report back to Lord Harvers.

”Human mercenaries, you’re courting death!”

Seeing the tall Yakolan unable to restrain himself any longer, he brandished his large and small asymmetrical light cyan giant pincers and charged straight at the Ice Claw Bear Mercenary Group.

At this moment, the mercenary group, having witnessed the swift demise of the two Sea God Sect Monks, had uplifted morale and their defensive formation was growing tighter.

The three Tower Shield Warriors in the front, equipped with Knight’s Longswords enchanted by Rein’s Sharpness Technique, were backed by six archers and rangers, while Rein and Fandar were positioned at the end.

Rein timely accelerated the pace of casting Sharpness Technique, essentially casting it once a second.

If the six archers and rangers were likened to a Gatling gun, Rein was the ammunition belt, shooting at the Thick-Shelled Lobsterfolk warriors, making them run for cover!

”Clang clang clang!”

However, with Yakolan’s entry, due to his shell’s hardness and thickness far exceeding that of ordinary lobsterfolk, he pushed through the rain of arrows enhanced by the Sharpness Technique, though he was painfully shot!

Naturally, he also realized that the key difficulty with this human mercenary group lay in the peculiar arrows!

He must engage in close combat!

Yakolan quickly made a decision.

”Not good, the big guy’s here! Tower Shield, give it to me!” In the battle formation, Fandar immediately noticed the unusual strength of this huge lobsterfolk and picked up a tower shield, ready to block his way.

”Giant Claw Shock!”

Seeing Yakolan, who had already reached the front of the formation, suddenly raise his giant light cyan pincer, which was three times larger than ordinary ones, comparable to a large barrel, and with a flash of azure arc light, slammed it down several meters ahead of the Tower Shield Warriors.

”Boom!!!”

Like an Earth Dragon turning over, the ground instantly became as soft as noodles, and a powerful shockwave immediately unsteadied and swayed the three Tower Shield Warriors.

”Clamp Shadows!”

”Swish swish swish!”

Yakolan then charged in, his pair of giant pincers delivering three lightning-fast stabs, instantly distorting the three sturdy tower shields and sending the three Tower Shield Warriors flying with cries of pain.

Fortunately, with the shield’s defense, their injuries weren’t severe, but their left shield arms were visibly twisted and deformed while in mid-air.

”Not good! The opponent is the Thick-Shelled Lobsterfolk chieftain Yakolan!”

Seeing the opponent smash his ’tower shield defense line’ with just two moves, recalling the characteristics of one large and one small pincer, Fandar instantly realized something and exclaimed.

”You actually know me, then you should know that today is the day of your death!” Yakolan said in unskilled common tongue, a glint of pride in his twig-like eyes.

”I will clamp you all in half one by one, and let you all howl in despair and die!”

”Oh? There’s a human lass, that’s exactly the type Commander Dune likes. Not bad, this girl can survive.” Yakolan, spotting Georgia among the crowd, showed a look of delight, pointing with his giant pincer.

At this moment, the remaining archers and rangers all showed expressions of panic.
