Chapter 1021: Chapter 356: The Tragedy of the Hard-Shelled Lobstermen (Double-Length Chapter) (Part 4)

”Neither! The opponent is a Sword Bearer.” Diyaam shook his head and said.

”Sword Bearer?” Upon hearing this answer, the people of the Sea God Sect felt slightly relieved.

After all, no matter how strong a Sword Bearer is, they are ultimately not a Dragon Knight. Even if they’re from the Imperial Swordsmen Headquarters, they can still be fought.

”Lord Diyaam, please detail the strength of that Sword Bearer.” Harvers said in a deep voice.

”Of course...” Diyaam began to recount in detail.

Ever since witnessing Rein transform into a Dragon-man and pummel the Ancestor Dragon Kolaxius, as an eyewitness, Diyaam had been thinking about reporting this critical information to High Priest Erikson immediately.

But unexpectedly, when he hurried back to camp, he received the bad news that High Priest Erikson and his party had been nearly wiped out near Dragon Mountain Pass.

With further investigation, Diyaam was even more shocked!

Because he discovered that the one who pummeled the Ancestor Dragon Kolaxius was actually the same person, and moreover, the person’s identity was not just any member of the Wizard School but an Imperial Sword Bearer.

This kept Diyaam from sleeping soundly for several days.

”Are you saying this Sword Bearer named... Rein can transform, and after transforming, his combat ability is extremely strong, even able to contend with the Ancestor Dragon?” Deep Sea Giant Leader Dune suddenly asked with great interest.

Dune’s loud voice startled Diyaam.

But after regaining his composure, he quickly nodded and said, ”Yes, I was present at the time, and this Rein even had a slight advantage.”

”Interesting! Hahaha! Finally met a somewhat interesting opponent.” Deep Sea Giant Leader Dune laughed heartily and wildly.

Suddenly, the thunderous laughter echoed in the cave hall, causing Diyaam to feel a sense of oppression and discomfort.

”Commander Dune has barehandedly slain several Deep Sea Fish Dragons before, by battle record alone, he is beyond this Sword Bearer.” Beside him, the Sharp Blade Naga High Priest Eshura compliantly said a bit.

”Commander Dune’s strength being so great, of course, is the best.” Hearing the Sharp Blade Naga Priest’s words, Diyaam felt more at ease.

He had been thinking about ways to handle that Rein, but found that without high-end combat forces stepping in, it was nearly unsolvable.

Not only is the opponent strong in battle, but they are also extremely fast, which means if they can’t win, they can escape.

In other words, if you want to deal with this Rein, you have to find a place where it’s difficult for him to escape... or find someone who makes it hard for him to escape.

”Though I have no doubt about your faction’s strength, the problem is, their speed is extremely fast, what if they decide to run away?” Diyaam timely asked, while directing his gaze towards Harvers.

Because just as Diyaam was feeling helpless, the Sea God Sect sent several urgent summons, mainly to inquire about when to jointly initiate an assault on the Empire.

Originally, the coordinated attack on Frostwind Prairie with the Sea God Sect involved High Priest Erikson, but after his death, Diyaam naturally took over.

Thinking about the Sea God Sect, Diyaam’s eyes lit up at the time.

Yes, my church can’t muster forces to deal with Rein for now, but I can leverage others.

Divert the disaster to the east!

Although not quite ethical, the Sea God Sect will eventually confront the Empire, so facing Rein sooner is not too bad.

Moreover, Diyaam had also heard that the person in charge of the Sea God Sect’s operation at Wailing Wind Fjord is the formidable ’Shadow Burner’.

No matter how fast or strong in physical prowess, when faced with Heart Erosion-type Shadow Witchcraft, they’re as fragile as eggs.

Thus, Diyaam believed that the key to killing this Rein lay with Harvers, rather than the Deep Sea Giant Leader Dune.

At this time, a Lobster Tribe elite quickly came to Chief Yakolan of the Tough-Shell Lobster Tribe, and said:

”Chief, we’ve encountered a group of human mercenary attackers near the southern camp by the shipwreck debris. They’re very strong, and our people have suffered heavy casualties!”

”What? These foolish mercenaries actually dared to launch an attack against us, they’re digging their own graves!”

Since Diyaam was present as a guest, this news was somewhat humiliating to the Sea God Sect, especially for the Tough-Shell Lobster Tribe. Chief Yakolan immediately scolded.

”Lord Harvers, I will personally go handle this.” Yakolan stood up, bowed slightly to Harvers, who was seated in the main position, and said.

”Yes, it’s time to teach these locust-like mercenaries a lesson. However, Chief Yakolan, remember to be quick and return swiftly, as we must properly entertain Lord Diyaam. You, as the host, should not be absent.” Harvers nodded, smiling as he spoke.

”Of course, I will be back within half an hour at most. Lord Diyaam, please sit for a moment.” Yakolan turned towards Diyaam and said, then quickly departed.
